UPSEE 2020 - Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will conduct UPSEE 2020 on August 2. The last date to fill UPSEE 2020 application form has been further re-extended to May 31. Candidates seeking admission in UG or PG professional course as well as lateral entry admission in institutes affiliated to AKTU can fill the UPSEE 2020 application form. Admission is offered on the basis of candidates performance in Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination, commonly known as UPSEE. The exam will be conducted offline (OMR) of three hours duration with multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. UPSEE 2020 Counselling
The application form of UPSEE 2020 is available online up to May 31. Application form was released on January 27. Candidates applying for UPSEE 2020 are advised to first ensure their eligibility before filling the application form. The whole application process for UPSEE is online and application in any other mode other than online will be summarily rejected. Candidates can find below the detailed procedure to fill UPSEE 2020 application form.
Step 1. UPSEE Registration (Filling up of Personal and other Details) - Registration was the first step in applying for UPSEE 2020. Candidates had to visit the online application portal of UPSEE and fill the registration form by providing basic personal details like name, gender, date of birth, mobile number and email address etc. Candidates had to create a password as well.
Step 2: Uploading Photograph and Signature - Candidates had to upload the scanned images of recent passport size color photograph and signature. The specification of measurements for photograph and signature is provided below

Click on “Save” button after uploading the images. Candidates could see images of photograph and signature in the application form after clicking the save button.
Step 3: Payment of Examination Fee and Printing of the “Confirmation Page - After uploading the images of photograph and signature, candidates had to make the fee payment for application form of UPSEE. Fee payment could be done in online mode only through Credit/ Debit Card, Net Banking or Wallets. Candidates had to select the mode of payment from the available options and pay the fees. The fee details for various categories is provided below
SC/ ST/ Female Candidates
After successful fee payment, candidate could see a confirmation message regarding the payment. Candidates could see “Download Confirmation Page” tab in their candidate portal which contained the submitted UPSEE 2020 application form. Candidates had to download the confirmation page and keep it safe until the complete admission procedure.

Candidates are advised to check their eligibility criteria before applying for UPSEE 2020. The eligibility criteria has specific conditions which every applicant will have to fulfill in order to be considered for admission process. UPSEE 2020 eligibility criteria are listed below:
Age - Candidates of any age can apply for UPSEE 2020 and appear for the entrance examination for admission in participating institutes of AKTU.
Year of Passing Class 12 - Candidates who have passed class 12 in any year can appear in UPSEE. Candidates who are appearing in their class 12 exam in 2020 can also apply.
Number of Attempts - Candidates can appear in UPSEE 2020 for as many times as they wish
Percentage in Class 12 - Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST candidates) in class 12. Candidates having diploma in Engineering and Technology must have obtained 45%.

While filling out the application form, the candidates have to select three exam centres of UPSEE in the order of preference out of 59 given cities. The list of cities where the entrance examination will be conducted constitutes UPSEE 2020 exam centres. The authorities will allot the exam centres on the basis of preference and availability of seats. More detailed information about the UPSEE exam centres will be mentioned in the admit card.

Candidates who will fills the application form successfully will be able to download their admit card of UPSEE 2020 in online mode. Details about the exam centre date and time, venue of exam with address, paper for which appearing, application number and details of candidate like name, category and photograph and more will be present in the admit card. Candidates have to download their admit card from the UPSEE 2020 portal and take a colour print to be taken at the exam centre on the day of the exam. Candidates will not be allowed to appear in UPSEE 2020 without proper admit card. They will also have to carry a valid photo ID along with them to the exam centre on the day of the exam.
Candidates who would be appearing in UPSEE 2020 entrance exam are advised to refer to the official exam pattern. UPSEE exam pattern will let candidates know the type of questions which will be asked in the exam, exam duration, marking scheme and various other aspects of the exam. Candidates are advised to study for UPSEE 2020 from the official syllabus prescribed by the exam conducting authority. UPSEE 2020 syllabus contains topics from each subject from which questions will be asked in exam. Candidates will be provided the topic wise syllabus of each subject so as to prepare for the UPSEE 2020 exam. Candidates are advised to study only through the syllabus of UPSEE as questions are formulated strictly in accordance to the syllabus prescribed by the authority.
One of the most beneficial preparation method is the sample papers of UPSEE. Canidates who would be appearing for UPSEE exam are advised to practice the sample papers to get an overview of exam about type of questions, difficulty level of exam, topics which are frequently covered and most importantly, the practice of attempting the questions. Sample papers are the simulation of original exam and by practicing it, candidates practice solving questions like in exam. Solving sample papers will also enable candidates to know their strong and weak points, topics which need more focus and study accordingly.
AKTU will release answer key of UPSEE after the exam concludes. Candidates will be able to download the UPSEE 2020 answer key in the form of pdfs for all sets of question papers. The correct response to questions asked in exam will be given in the official answer key. After downloading the answer key, candidates must correlate with their own answers. Candidates having any objection to the answer will also be allowed to challenge the answer in online mode with proper proof supporting the claim. The final result will be declared after considering the challenges to the answer key.
The authorities will release the result of UPSEE 2020 in online mode at the official portal. Candidates will have to login to UPSEE 2020 candidate portal and use their application number and password to check their result. Information such as the marks of candidates scored in each subject along with the total marks, state rank of candidate, category of candidate and more will be available in the result. Candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying marks will be eligible for counselling and seat allotment process.

After the declaration of result, the merit list of UPSEE will be published. Candidates who qualify the entrance exam will have their name listed in UPSEE 2020 merit list in the order of marks secured. Merit list will be formulated on the basis of marks in UPSEE 2020 and the category. Candidates with same marks will be selected for merit in by considering the following factors
Candidate with less number of incorrect answers will be placed high
In case the tie still remains, candidate with highest marks in total of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be placed high.
In case of a tie after the above two criteria, a candidate older in age will be placed high in merit
The opening and closing rank within which seats are allotted in the institutes will be available through the cutoff of UPSEE. Candidates will be able to check the cutoff to get an idea about the last ranks up to which admission has been offered by various institutes in past years. UPSEE 2020 cutoff varies for different categories and also for various colleges and programs.

Eligible candidates will have to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process of UPSEE 2020 which will be held in online mode. Candidates who will qualify UPSEE 2020 will be required to register in online mode for counselling and seat allotment. AKTU will release a separate notification about the dates and procedure for counselling after the declaration of result. UPSEE qualified candidates will have to fill the counselling form in online mode, fill choices of college and course. Seat allotment will be done in the order of merit, as per the marks secured by candidates, category and choices filled. Candidates who will be allotted a seat will be required to deposit the seat confirmation fees and report to the allotted institute to confirm their admission.
Institutes which are situated within the territory of U.P. and are affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University will be listed as UPSEE 2020 participating institutes. Candidates are offered admission in B.Tech course offered by the participating institutes through the centralised counselling on the basis of UPSEE 2020.
