UPSEE 2020 - Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University will conduct the UPSEE 2020 exam in May. UPSEE is the entrance exam for admission in UG and PG courses in engineering along with various disciplines in institutes affiliated to AKTU. Students seeking admission in B.Tech courses in any of the participating institutes of AKTU have to qualify UPSEE 2020. Students who will qualify UPSEE 2020 will be called for counselling and admission procedure. Seats are offered through a centralised counselling process on the basis of marks secured in UPSEE. Application form for UPSEE 2020 will be available from January in online mode. UPSEE 2020 exam will be conducted in offline mode of three hours duration consisting of multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Students are advised to ensure their eligibility criteria before applying for UPSEE 2020. The UPSEE eligibility criteria has specific conditions which every applicant has to fulfill in order to be considered for admission process. Following are the UPSEE 2020 eligibility criteria
Age - Candidates of any age can apply for UPSEE 2020 and appear for the entrance examination for admission in participating institutes of AKTU.
Year of Passing Class 12 - Students who have passed class 12 in any year can appear in UPSEE 2020. Students who are appearing in their class 12 exam in 2020 can also apply.
Number of Attempts - Students can appear in UPSEE 2020 for as many times as they wish
Percentage in Class 12 - Students must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST candidates) in class 12. Students having diploma in Engineering and Technology must have obtained 45%
Subjects in Class 12 - Students must have the following subject combination
Physics and Mathematics
Chemistry/ Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject
B.Tech Agriculture Engineering
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Physics and Mathematics/ Biology

Note : Students eligible for B.Tech are also eligible for B.Tech Agriculture and Biotechnology
The application form of UPSEE 2020 will be available from January first week in online mode. Candidates applying for UPSEE 2020 are advised to first ensure their eligibility before filling the application form. The whole application process for UPSEE 2020 will be online and application in any other mode other than online will be summarily rejected. Students can find below the detailed procedure to fill UPSEE 2020 application form.
Step 1 Registration - Registration is the first step in applying for UPSEE 2020. Students have to visit the online application portal of UPSEE 2020 and fill the registration form by providing the details like name, parents name, address for communication, paper for which applying, educational qualification, domicile of your parent, state from where you have passed or appearing in the qualifying examination and many other details. Students are also required to provide their mobile number and email address as all further communication regarding UPSEE 2020 will be communicated through this channel.
After filling in all the details, candidates have to select a security questions and create a password for their candidate account. This password will be used for all future login in UPSEE 2020 candidate portal. Students must take utmost care while filling the information in registration form. Candidates have to click on “Submit” button after filling all the details post which a “Preview Page” containing all the information provided by the candidate will be available. Check and verify all the information and proceed to submit the registration form. If any information needs to be modified, candidates can click on “Edit Application Form” and modify the details. Candidates will have to click on “Final Submit” button to submit the application form
Step 2 Uploading Photograph and Signature - Students have to upload the scanned images of recent passport size color photograph and signature. The specification of measurements for photograph and signature is provided below

Click on “Save” button after uploading the images. Candidates will see images of photograph and signature in the application form after clicking the save button.
Step 3 Payment of Fees - After uploading the images of photograph and signature, candidates have to make the fee payment for application form of UPSEE 2020. Fee payment can be done in online mode only through Credit/ Debit Card, Net Banking or Wallets. Students have to select the mode of payment from the available options and pay the fees. The fee details for various categories is provided below
SC/ ST/ Female Candidates
After successful fee payment, candidate will see a confirmation message regarding the payment. Students will see “Download Confirmation Page” tab in their candidate portal which contains the submitted application form of UPSEE 2020. Students must download the confirmation page and keep it safe until the complete admission procedure.
Students who would be appearing in UPSEE 2020 entrance exam must refer to the official exam pattern. UPSEE exam pattern 2020 will let students know the type of questions which will be asked in the exam, duration of exam, marking scheme and various other aspects of the exam. Students must study for UPSEE 2020 from the official syllabus prescribed by the exam conducting authority. The UPSEE syllabus 2020 contains topics from each subject from which questions will be asked in exam. Students are provided here the topic wise syllabus of each subject so as to prepare for the UPSEE 2020 exam. Students are advised to study only through the syllabus of UPSEE as questions are formulated strictly in accordance to the syllabus prescribed by the authority.
The sample papers of UPSEE 2020 are very beneficial for the preparation. Students who would be appearing for UPSEE exam must practice the sample papers to get an overview of exam about type of questions, difficulty level of exam, topics which are frequently covered and most importantly, the practice of attempting the questions. Sample papers are the simulation of original exam and by practicing it, students practise solving questions like in exam. Solving sample papers will also enable students to know their strong and weak points, topics which need more focus and study accordingly.
The admit card of UPSEE 2020 will be released in April in online mode. Students who will fill the application form within specified due dates will be issues UPSEE admit card for appearing in the exam. Admit card will mention all the details about the exam centre date and time , venue of exam with address, Paper for which appearing, application number and details of candidate like name, category and photograph. Students have to download their admit card from the UPSEE 2020 portal and take a coloured print to be taken at the exam centre on the day of the exam. Students must not that they will not be allowed to appear in UPSEE 2020 without proper admit card. Students must also carry a valid photo ID along with them to the exam centre on the day of the exam.
Students who will appear for UPSEE 2020 will be able to check the correct response to questions asked in exam through the official answer key. UPSEE answer key 2020 will be released by the authority in online mode after the conclusion of the exam. The answer key will be available in pdf format in the official portal of UPSEE 2020 which can be downloaded for checking the responses. Students having any objection to the answer will also be allowed to challenge the answer in online mode with proper proof supporting the claim. The final result will be declared after considering the challenges to the answer key.
The result of UPSEE 2020 will be released by AKTU in May. The result 2020 will be released in online mode at the official portal of UPSEE. Students will be required to login to UPSEE 2020 candidate portal and login using their application number and password to check their result. The result will mention marks of students scored in each subject along with the total marks, All India rank of candidate, category of candidate and other details. Students who will secure the minimum qualifying marks will be eligible for counselling and seat allotment process.
The merit list of UPSEE 2020 will be published after the declaration of result. Students who will qualify the entrance exam will have their name in UPSEE merit list in the order of marks secured. Merit list will be formulated on the basis of marks in UPSEE 2020 and the category. Students with same marks will be selected for merit in by considering the following factors
Candidate with less number of incorrect answers will be placed high
In case the tie still remains, candidate with highest marks in total of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be placed high.
In case of a tie after the above two criteria, a candidate older in age will be placed high in merit
The counselling and seat allotment process of UPSEE 2020 is done in online mode. Students who will qualify UPSEE 2020 will be required to register in online mode for counselling and seat allotment. AKTU will release a separate notification about the dates and procedure for counselling after the declaration of result. UPSEE qualified candidates will have to fill the counselling form in online mode, fill choices of college and course. Seat allotment will be done in the order of merit, as per the marks secured by candidates, category and choices filled. Candidates who will be allotted a seat will be required to deposit the seat confirmation fees and report to the allotted institute to confirm their admission.
The cutoff of UPSEE are the opening and closing rank within which seats are allotted in the institutes. UPSEE cutoff 2020 will be released in online mode after the counselling process. Students can check the cutoff to get an idea about the last ranks up to which admission has been offered by various institutes in past years. UPSEE cutoff varies for different categories and also for various colleges and programs.
