MHT CET Exam Pattern 2026 : The Maharashtra State CET Cell has uploaded the MHT CET 2026 exam pattern on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. There are a total number of 150 questions for each subject Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 50 questions for each subject. The MHT CET question paper will carry 100 marks for each section. Candidates must be familiar with the Maharashtra CET syllabus and exam pattern while preparing for the exam. The Maharashtra CET exam will be conducted in online mode in two sessions. The session 1 MHT CET 2026 for PCM will be conducted from April 11 to 19, 2026, while for PCB it will be from April 21 to 26, 2026. Session 2 of MHT CET PCM will be held from May 14 to 17, 2026, while the PCB session will be held from May 10 to 11, 2026.

The Maharashtra CET exam is considered to be one of the toughest entrance exams. The difficulty level of the MHT CET exam is on par with that of JEE Main. Looking at the previous trends of the exam paper and the difficulty level of questions asked, the current year paper will be moderately tough and will be similar to the JEE Main paper. Hence, candidates should also attempt the JEE Main question papers during preparation.

Maharashtra State CET cell has uploaded the MHT CET syllabus 2026 on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. As mentioned above, MHT CET 2026 question paper will be based on the Class 11th and 12th Syllabus. Candidates have to focus on the entire syllabus of Class 12th syllabus for their MHT CET preparation, while a few topics will be included from the Class 11th syllabus. Approximately 20% weightage will be given to class XI and 80% weightage will be given to class XII curriculum. Candidates can download the syllabus of MHT CET 2026 PDF and look at the Maharashtra CET chapter-wise weightage to get a better idea about the exam and practice the MHT CET previous year question paper.

MHT CET 2026 will consist of two sections - Mathematics and Physics & Chemistry.
The difficulty level of the Mathematics section will be at par with the JEE Main exam. However, for Physics and Chemistry, the difficulty level will be at par with NEET.
As per the MHT CET syllabus, 20% weightage will be given to Class 11th syllabus and 80% to Class 12th syllabus while setting the MHT CET question paper.
The total time duration of MHT CET will be 180 minutes (90 minutes for each paper).
Candidates will be allotted 2 marks for each correct answer in the Mathematics section. On the other hand, in the Physics and Chemistry section, 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer. In addition to this, there will be no negative marking in the MHT CET exam.
The Physics & Chemistry section will be active for the first 90 minutes followed by Mathematics for the next 90 minutes. No, you will not be allowed to switch between the sections.
MHT CET 2026 exam date for PCB and PCM has been announced online. Session 1 MHT CET 2026 for PCM is from Aprl 11 to 19, 2026 while for PCB is from April 21 to 26, 2026. The session 2 MHT CET for PCM is from May 14 to 17, 2026 while for PCB is from May 10 to 11, 2026.
No negative marking is done for wrong attempts.
MHT CET exam will be conducted in online mode.

As per the MHT CET syllabus 2024 with weightage PCM and PCB prescribed by the Maharashtra CET Cell, 20 percent weightage is given to the Class 11 topics and the remaining 80 percent to the Class 12 topics of the Maharashtra board.

Hope you are preparing well for the exam ! In the mht cet exam there are physics , chemistry, mathematics and biology . Class 12th and class 11th topics will be asked in the examination and 20% weightage is given to the Class 11th syllabus and 80% weightage to the Class 12th syllabus. This is most important thing to know for a aspirant . Know your syllabus and prepare accordingly for the exam .
The eligibility criteria for the exam is ;-
Candidates should have passed a 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board/university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
