Hello,
Yes, you will still be eligible for JEE 2025 . As long as you have passed your 12th board exam in 2024 or 2023 with the required subjects, you can appear for JEE in 2025.
Failing in an improvement exam does not affect your original 12th board result. However, only your best performance among the two will be considered for eligibility.
Hope it helps !

Hello Rudra,
With an 84.271 percentile in JEE Main 2025 , your estimated All India Rank (AIR) would be approximately 130,000 .
For
Chemical Engineering
at
BIT Mesra, Ranchi
, the
CSAB Round 2
closing rank for
Home State General category
in
2024
was around
255,000
.
Given your rank, you have a
strong chance
of securing a seat in Chemical Engineering at BIT Mesra during the CSAB rounds. Keep in mind that cutoffs can vary each year based on factors like the number of applicants and seat availability.

With a JEE Main percentile of 76.75, admission to top NITs or IIITs for CSE may not be feasible, but several private and state engineering colleges accept candidates in this range. Universities like Maharishi Markandeshwar, SAGE Indore, and Arya Group of Colleges Jaipur offer CSE programs. To secure a good seat, explore various counseling options, check individual college eligibility criteria, and apply accordingly to maximize your chances of admission.
Yes, you can appear for improvement exams again in 2026 if your 2025 scores still do not meet the 75% eligibility requirement for JEE. However, JEE eligibility rules state that candidates can attempt JEE Main in the year they pass Class 12 and the following two years. If you passed in 2024, your last eligible attempt would be in 2026. To be sure, check the latest JEE guidelines or consult official authorities to confirm whether multiple improvement attempts are accepted for eligibility.
To secure admission to a top IIT in 2026, you need a high percentile in JEE Main and an excellent rank in JEE Advanced. For JEE Main, aim for at least 90–95 percentile to qualify for JEE Advanced. However, for premier IITs, scoring 99+ percentile is ideal. In JEE Advanced, a rank under 5,000 can get you into a decent IIT, but for top branches in IIT Bombay, Delhi, or Kanpur, a rank below 1,000 is preferable. Cutoffs vary yearly, so check the latest trends for precise targets.
