List of IIITs in India 2025 - Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) are autonomous educational institutions that provide technical education in communication studies and information technology. Other than Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIITs have grown in popularity among students and are now considered among the best colleges. Before applying for admission to top IIITs colleges in India, candidates have to meet certain eligibility requirements. The eligibility criteria consist of details like educational qualification, age limit, nationality, marks obtained in class 12, compulsory subjects and more. Candidates can check their eligibility criteria for different courses offered by top IIIT colleges in India.
B.Tech: Candidates should have passed the 12th class or qualifying the exam. Secured a valid score in JEE Main. Candidates appearing in the 12th class or equivalent qualifying exams can also apply.
M.Tech: Candidates must have passed a bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (B.Tech/B.E) from any recognised university in the concerned discipline.
M.B.A: Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with minimum 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA (45% marks or equivalent CGPA for SC/ST candidates). Candidates must have secured a valid CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT score.
Ph.D: Candidates must possess a first-class master's degree or equivalent CGPA in Management or any branch of Engineering or Technology Or a first-class master's degree or equivalent CGPA in Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics or Commerce with Mathematics or Statistics at the bachelor level.
Admission to IIIT in India is done based on national-level entrance exams. For admission to B.Tech programmes, candidates are required to appear for JEE Main. Entrance exam scores of CAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ MAT/ GMAT are accepted for admission to the MBA programme. Admission to the M.Tech programme is done based on the entrance exam- GATE.
