what is the difference between icar ug and icarpg which field is more scope full and is it enough only pcb orwe also study pcmb and on which basis the ranking for fishry depends through kcet both or only pcm.???

Shivang Dubey 28th May, 2020

Indian Council of Agricultural Research ( ICAR ) conducts entrance exam for different level, which are:

  • ICAR UG (For Undergraduate programs)
  • ICAR PG (For post graduate programs)

So it depends on you, which level you want to pursue.

For Fishery, Mathematics is not required in 10+2 curriculum, but Biology, Physics and Chemistry are necessary.

Fishery is a branch that deals with management, conserving and studying about fishes and aqua-fauna. Colleges offering Fishery Courses are:

  • College of Fisheries, India
  • Salipur College, Cuttack
  • LPU, Jalandhar
  • Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu

It has a good scope especially in Southern part of India. There are various companies like AngelPlus, Siam Canadian(India) that offers jobs in the same industry.

whether we can join college only through KCET ranking or it is compulsory to write ICAR exam .please snd answer to this

Bhawna Mehbubani 28th May, 2020

Dear Sinchana,

No, it is not compulsory to write ICAR exam. But if you write the exam it would increase your  chance to get a BSc agriculture seat easily as 40% seats are reserved for this ICAR exam rankings. Even if you don’t write the exam you would still get the seat based on KCET ranking.

I hope this helps you!

how many marks Should score in kcet to get 500rank

Sourandhi saha Student Expert 27th May, 2020

The prediction of marks for scoring rank less than 500 is quite difficult. Firstly, ranks in KCET depends on your board marks as well as KCET exam marks. Try to score at least 90% marks in Boards and any marks between 150 to 160 in KCET, can fetch you a rank within 500. But these is just an approximation made on previous years analysis and the actual marks depend on the difficulty of paper, no. Of students etc.
