JEE Advanced Result 2017JEE Advanced Result 2017 - IIT Madras has declared JEE Advanced 2017 result on June 11 at 10 am. The JEE Advanced result 2017 is available only in online mode. To access the result of JEE Advanced 2017, the candidates have to login with their registration number, date of birth, mobile number and email ID. The JEE Advanced 2017 result specifies the qualifying status of the candidates. An SMS to the candidates' registered mobile numbers regarding the declaration of their JEE Advanced result 2017 has also been sent. The candidates can know their scores, category-wise ranks and All India Ranks (AIRs) through the result of JEE Advanced 2017. Ranks are allotted only to those students who have successfully cleared the JEE Advanced exam held on May 21. Individual rank cards are not sent to candidates by IIT Madras. Only candidates who have secured the minimum prescribed marks in each subject and in aggregate in both Paper 1 & 2 put together are declared as qualified. Candidates are advised to download their JEE Advanced Result to furnish during the JoSAA Counselling 2017 that will start from June 15. The admissions to the IITs is on the basis of the JEE Advanced 2017 result.

IIT Madras has announced that 50,455 candidates have qualified in JEE Advanced thus making it the rank list across all categories. The total number of candidates who have appeared for the test are 1,59,540 out of which 43,318 were boys while 7,137 are girls.

Candidates need to follow these simple steps in order to check their JEE Advanced 2017 result-

  • Use the link given above or log in through the window provided above

  • Enter your JEE Advanced 2017 registration number, date of birth, mobile number and email ID.

  • Click on “Submit” button.

  • Your JEE Advanced result will be displayed.

  • Use the download /print button to download and save it

Important points regarding JEE Advanced 2017 Result

  • The minimum prescribed marks will vary with the category.

  • Merit lists for OBC (NCL), SC and ST will be announced separately. JEE Advanced Result 2017 of candidates belonging to these categories contain the specified relaxation in minimum marks.

  • No individual rank card is sent to them. 

  • Securing a rank in JEE Advanced 2017 will not guarantee admission to IITs or ISM.

How to calculate the JEE Advanced 2017 Score?

  • Only candidates who have appeared in both JEE Advanced 2017 Paper 1 and Paper 2 are considered for ranking.

  • The marks obtained by a candidate in each subject for both Paper 1 & Paper 2 are considered for calculating the rank

  • For example, Marks obtained in Physics = Physics marks obtained in Paper 1 + Physics marks obtained in Paper 2. Similarly, the marks are calculated for Mathematics and Chemistry

  • Aggregate marks/score obtained in JEE Advanced = Aggregate Marks in Physics + Aggregate marks in Chemistry + Aggregate marks in Maths

  • Rank lists are prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in JEE Advanced 2017.

Tie breaker Policy - JEE Advanced Result 2017

  • If two or more candidates have scored the same marks in JEE Advanced, the tie breaker guidelines issued by the auhtorities will be used to resolve the rankings and the JEE Advanced ranks are accordingly allotted.

  • The candidate who has obtained higher marks in Mathematics will be awarded the higher rank.

  • If the tie is not resolved, then the candidate who has obtained the higher marks in Physics will be awarded the higher rank.

  • If the tie is still not reolved, the candidates will be awarded the same rank 

What after JEE Advanced 2017 Result?

 

Following the announcement of JEE Advanced 2017 Result on June 11, the candidates have questions regarding the events after the result. For all of the qualified candidates, JoSAA 2017 will be open for registrations. The candidates will be allowed to register themselves and participate in the counselling and seat allotment process. Admissions into IITs will be open for JEE Advanced 2017 qualified candidates through JoSAA 2017. 

 

JoSAA 2017

 

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2017 will conduct the common counselling and seat allotment for candidates who have qualified JEE Main and JEE Advanced examination. The registration process will commence from June 15 to 26, 2017. Seat allotment will be announced in seven rounds. There will be two mock allotment rounds to aid the candidates in understanding the common counselling process of JoSAA. A total of 23 IITs, 23 IIITs, 31 NITs and 20 GFTIs will be participating in JoSAA 2017

Note: CRL is the rank list in which all candidates who have qualified in JEE Advanced 2017 (across all categories) will be given ranks. 

 

Declaration of Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) Result is scheduled for June 18, 2017. This will facilitate admissions of candidates to B. Arch. programmes.

 

JEE Advanced 2017 Cutoff

 

The minimum rank that can allow candidates to avail admission to the various B.Tech courses in the IITs is the JEE Advanced cutoff. The admission cutoff of JEE Advanced 2017 will be mush useful as it offers an insight into the opening and closing ranks required by candidates to avail admissions in the branch of their preference as well as an IIT they wish to study in. Since the JEE Advanced 2017 cutoffs are yet to be announced, candidates can use the previous year cutoff of JEE Advanced to get an idea of the ranks that fetched admissions in the past years.
