Normally while filling up the form of JEE Main, you are asked to provide percentage or CGPA in 10th class.
The structure and requirements vary a bit every year so it would be better to read the information bulletin for JEE Main.
In most cases, you are likely to be asked for your overall percentage or CGPA. The system would work out the percentage, according to the guidelines. Either on the basis of marks scored in all subjects or top five subjects.
In order to avoid any blunders, it is always recommended to:
1. **Check the Official Notification:** Look for the latest JEE Main notification to get the correct information.
2. In case of any doubts, refer to the helpline provided by NTA
3. All the details should be checked correctly for there to be no incorrect data in the application form
Follow these and get sure that your marks obtained in 10th class get correctly mentioned in JEE Main application.
Hello,
No, if you belong to the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) category, you cannot apply under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category for JEE Mains 2024. Here’s why:
Mutually Exclusive Categories : SEBC and EWS are separate categories. SEBC falls under the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category, which receives reservations based on social and educational disadvantage. EWS, on the other hand, is a category specifically for economically disadvantaged candidates who do not belong to any reserved categories (SC, ST, or OBC).
Eligibility for EWS : Only candidates from the General or Unreserved category, without any existing reservation, are eligible for the EWS category. Therefore, SEBC/OBC candidates cannot apply under EWS, even if they meet the income criteria, because they already have a reserved category.
Reservation Benefits : SEBC candidates are eligible for the OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) reservation if they meet the income and other requirements under OBC-NCL. This is a different type of reservation with its own set of benefits, distinct from EWS.
Clarification in Official Guidelines : The official guidelines for JEE Mains specify that EWS is exclusively for General category candidates, thereby excluding SEBC/OBC candidates from applying under EWS.
Thus, if you belong to the SEBC category, you should apply under OBC-NCL, not EWS.
Hope it helps !
Hello Mehnaz

For pursuing enhineering you will have to choose maths and for medical courses , biology is mandatory subject.
In future you will have to appear for jee or neet.
If you want to be engineer you will have to appear for jee or Common entrance test.
For taking addmission to almost all medical courses you will have to appear for Neet.
If you have not received your admit card online, below are a few things that you can do.
Contact Your School: Your school will have a copy of your admit card. Contact the school administration and inquire about it. They should be able to provide it physically or help you download it.
Check the Exam Board’s Website: Visit the official website of exam board which is conducting your exam (like CBSE, ICSE or your State Board). Check for any updates or notifications about admit card issuance on that site. Some boards may have procedure to issue duplicate admit cards.
Contact the Exam Centre: Contact the exam centre where you are supposed to appear for the exam. They will guide you how to get your admit card.
Do:
Act Quickly – Don’t leave this until the last minute to get sorted.
Carry all the documents you needed: If you didn’t get your admit card with you, at least carry the ID proof (AADHAR card/school ID) or any other document that was mentioned in the notification.
Keep calm: Panicking is not the solution. Just be cool and start looking out for ways how can this be rectified.
This way you will get your admit card at the time of exam.
Hello,
You will require the following for 2025 JEE registration:
Year of Passing: Since your Class 12 boards in which you initially passed appear to be from 2023 and an improvement appear to be in 2024, you should still consider 2023 because that was the first actual passing year. Improvement appears not to alter the initial passing year; rather, improves marks.
Mistake in 2024 Registration: Putting "Appearing" in the 2024 JEE form by mistake also does not disqualify you if you meet other requirements and provide right information in your 2025 form.
2025 Form: Fill 2023 as the year of passing and mention any improvements as required. The correction window of JEE authorities usually allows updates, so be accurate this time.
Your form will not be rejected only because of the mistake in 2024, but be careful to enter the correct details for 2025.
