CCMT Counselling 2021
CCMT Counselling 2021 - NIT Delhi will organise the Centralised Counselling for admission in M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan/ M.Des courses in NITs and other participating institutes. Registration for CCMT Counselling 2021 will begin from April in online mode. Students having valid GATE score from 2021, 2020 or 2019 are eligible to participate in CCMT 2021 counselling. CCMT is the centralised counselling process conducted by a coordinating NIT among the 23 NITs. CCMT Counselling 2021 will be conducted for admission in all NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 8 participating IIITs, NIFFT Ranchi, SPA Vijayawada, University of Hyderabad, Central University of Rajasthan, SLIET Longowal, PEC Chandigarh and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra. Candidates are not required to apply to individual Institutes or go to every Institute for appearing in interview/counselling. Admission will be on the basis of score in GATE in the order of merit. CCMT Counselling 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who will be applying for CCMT 2021 counselling must ensure that they are eligible for the counselling and admission process. The most important criteria being having valid GATE 2021 score or score from 2020 or 2019 Students are provided below the detailed eligibility criteria for counselling of CCMT ccmt Counselling 2021
Students must have a valid GATE score from year 2021, 2020 or 2019
Candidate must have passed the qualifying degree with minimum aggregate of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA for OC/OC-EW and OB category and 55% or 6.0 CGPA in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates
Students appearing in their final year exam are also eligible to participate in CCMT counselling 2021 subject to providing all the necessary documents at the time of admission in institute
Students must note that certain institutes might have their own specific eligibility criteria for admission. Students are advised to visit the college website of desired institute for detailed eligibility criteria
Students are advised to ensure there eligibility for programs in which applying as per the GATE paper for which qualified and the program in which admission is desired
CCMT Counselling and Seat Allotment Procedure 2021
The following three steps will be involved in CCMT counselling 2021 and seat allotment procedure
Online registration at CCMT 2021 portal
Online choice filling and locking
Online seat allotment
Online payment of seat acceptance fee
Physical reporting at RC for document verification
Physical reporting at the allotted institute for admission

CCMT Counselling Procedure 2021
Students seeking admission in M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan/ M.Des course through CCMT has to register for the counselling in online mode. CCMT registration will start from April followed by choice locking and seat allotment rounds.
Step 1- Online Registration: Students have to register in online mode by visiting the CCMT 2021 portal. The registration process for CCMT counselling 2021 will start from April and will be available till May first week. Students have to provide their basic details, information about GATE and educational qualifications, mobile number, email address among others. Candidates will also have to create a password at the time of registration which will be used for all future logins. A registration fee is also to be paid in order to participate in CCMT. Details of registration fees is as follows

Step 2- Online Choice Filling and Locking: Students have to fill choices for the colleges and specialisation as per their preference during CCMT choice filling. Choice filling has to be done within specified dates in online mode by login to candidate portal of CCMT 2021. Candidates will see the list of institutes and their specialisations as per their rank in GATE. Students will be required to select the choices in order of preference and lock them before the final date of choice locking. It is very important to fill and lock the choices as allotment of seats will be done on the basis of choices filled by the candidate by considering the score in GATE.
Step 3 - Online Seat Allotment: Allotment of seats will be done through a centralised seat allotment procedure in online mode. Seat allotment is done in the order of merit of GATE score and as per the choices filled by candidates in CCMT counselling 2021. The result of CCMT seat allotment will be published in online mode. Students will be required to login to their candidates portal of CCMT 2021 to check their seat allotment process.
Students must note that three rounds of seat allotment, one internal sliding and National Spot round counselling will be done by CCMT. Seats which remain vacant in normal rounds and internal sliding are filled through a National Spot Round.
Step 4- Seat Acceptance Fee Deposit: Students who will be allotted seats during the seat allotment round will have to deposit the seat acceptance fees in online mode. Payment of seat acceptance fees is compulsory to confirm the seat allotted to students. The fee details of seat acceptance for CCMT counselling 2021 is as follows

Step 5- Physical Reporting at Reporting Centre: Students who have been allotted a seat and have paid the seat acceptance fees need to report to the nearest reporting centre for document verification and specifying the willingness towards acceptance or rejection of seat allotted to them. Reporting to the reporting centre is compulsory for every student after the allotment of seat and payment of seat acceptance fees. The following two procedure is to be done at reporting centre by candidate
Document Verification - Candidates have to carry all the documents related to educational qualification, category (if applicable) and other required documents in original and at least two xerox copies of each while reporting got document verification at regional centres. The authorised person will check and verify the original documents and will retain the xerox copies. Students will be issued the document verification slip after the successful verification of all documents.
Specifying Willingness - Students, while reporting to the reporting centre, have to specify their willingness of the allotted seat. Students have the following option to exercise
Floating: Students who wish to be considered in the next round for all of their better preferred choices and retaining the current allotted seat can select the “Floating” option
Sliding: Students who wish to be considered in the next round for their better preferred choices only within the Institute allotted to them have to select the “Sliding” option
Freezing: Students who are satisfied with the currently allotted seat and do not want to be considered for allotment of better preferred choices in the subsequent rounds.
If the allotted seat is of better preferred choice for a candidate who has specified her/his willingness as Floating/Sliding then, she/he will compulsorily forfeit the claim on the seat allotted to her/him in the earlier rounds
Step 6- Physical Reporting to the Allotted Institute for Admission: Students have to report to the allotted institute after the national upgradation round as per the schedule. Students will be issued a provisional allotment letter which they have to download from their candidate portal of CCMT 2021. Students have to carry the document verification slip received from the reporting centre and the downloaded provisional allotment letter while reporting to the allotted institute. Students must note that they must report to the allotted institute within the specified due date, which will be mentioned in their provisional allotment letter, failing which their seat will get cancelled.
CCMT National Spot Round Counselling 2021
CCMT spot round counselling is organised after the conclusion of all three regular rounds and internal sliding process. Students have to register afresh for participation in spot round counselling and pay the registration fees. Students will also have to fill fresh choices for participation in spot round counselling.

You should have marks of 150+ in GATE for ICT mumbai for food technology course.However,you can also apply for admission if you don't qualified GATE they will conduct written test prepared by their department and merit list will be based on that but remember first preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates and for remaining seats merit list will be based on written test.

Hello candidate,
The GATE examination is very important for getting admission into m tech courses in some of the prestigious Institutions of the country, and getting job opportunities in public sector companies or PSUs.
The company shortlist the candidates on the basis of their GATE score, and overall academic record and call for interview rounds. If the candidate gets selected in this interview Rounds, then only he gets final selection.
