Similar to government colleges, a score of 353 might not be sufficient to secure admission into an NIT, especially for competitive programs. There can be reservations for specific categories, so the general cut-off might be higher for the general category.

Yes, your GATE 2024 score is valid for admissions in 2025. The GATE scorecard is valid for three years from the exam year.
Big institute like IITs, IISCs, and NITs requires GATE exam for m tech but there are some sponsered seats for the students without gate exam candidates need to appear for specific MTech entrance exam.other than this many provate universities take CUET pg scores for admission in m.tech geotechnical engineering.integral university and sharda University conducts their own exam.
Eligibility for M.Tech admission while having a backlog can depend on the specific policies of the institution you're applying to. Generally, here’s how it works:
1. Check Eligibility Criteria: Verify if the institution allows provisional admission for students with pending results.
2. Provisional Admission: Many institutions offer provisional admission if you have cleared the entrance exam (like GATE) and are expected to clear the backlog before the final admission.
3. Result Timing: Ensure that your final results and documentation can be submitted before the final admission deadline.
4. Contact Institutions: It’s best to directly contact the admissions office of the institutions you're interested in to confirm their specific policies regarding backlogs and provisional admissions.
To ensure a smooth process, confirm these details with the specific institutions you’re targeting.

Hello there,
Once the CCMT (Centralized Counseling for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des.) counseling process begins and the first round of seat allotment is completed, you generally cannot change your preferences for the subsequent rounds. However, you have the following options:
Accept the Allotted Seat: If you are satisfied with the seat allotted, you can accept it and proceed with the document verification and admission process.
Upgrade Option: If you want a higher preference, you can choose the "Float" option. This means you accept the current seat but still wish to be considered for higher preferences in the next rounds.
Withdraw: If you are not satisfied with the seat and want to withdraw from the counseling, you can do so, but you will forfeit the chance to participate in subsequent rounds.
Sliding Option: If you get admitted to a particular institute and wish to stay in the same institute but desire a different branch, you can choose the sliding option, which is subject to availability.
Note: You cannot rearrange your choices or add new choices after the first round is completed. The choices you initially filled during the registration are final for the entire counseling process.
If you’re unsure or need further clarification, you can reach out to the CCMT authorities through their official helpline or email.
