JEE Main Application Form 2019 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has concluded the correction facility for JEE Main 2019 application form on October 14. In case, candidates had committed any error while submission of application form, they could make corrections/ modifications within the time period in online only. No changes were accepted through offline mode i.e. through fax/ application including e-mail etc. The final date to submit the application form of JEE Main 2019 in online mode was September 30 (11.50 pm) 2018 for all candidates who meet the official eligibility criteria. While filling the application form of JEE Main 2019, candidates had to fill valid information.

NTA has officially taken over JEE Main examination and is responsible for the registration process. While filling the JEE Main application form 2019, the candidates had to fill in valid personal, academic and contact information. The required application fee also had to be paid by the candidates. The allotted shift, date and city of the exam have been released by NTA. Scanned documents according to the mentioned specifications had to be uploaded in the application form of JEE Main 2019. JEE Main 2019 will be conducted by NTA in two sessions. For the January session, Paper I will be conducted on January 9, 10, 11 & 12, 2019 while Paper II will be held on January 8 (in two shifts). Another session will be conducted from April 6 to 20 and the registration will commence from February 8 to March 7, 2019.

What is new in JEE Main 2019 Application Form?
Since the examination of JEE Main 2019 will be conducted twice a year, the registrations will also be open twice.
The application fee of JEE Main 2019 has been revised by NTA authorities.
Now candidates can register using Aadhaar Card number, Passport Number, ration card number, bank account, any other valid Govt. identity number provided
While filling the application form, the parent's signatures are not required.
- NTA has removed the age limit. That is, candidates who have passed their class 12 in 2017, 2018 or are appearing in 2019 can appear for JEE Main 2019 irrespective of their birth date.
- For the candidates who are not well conversant with the submission of online application, NTA is using the services of Common Services Centre (CSC) to make such candidates well versed with it. There are more than 1.5 lakhs Common Services Centres (CSC) across the country which will provide the desired support to candidates from urban as well as rural areas in online submission of application form and payment of fee through e-wallet. To use this CSC, candidates will have to pay the requisite charges.
- Candidates who are applying through JEE Main Paper II will have to secure 50% marks individually in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% aggregate marks in 10+2th standard (or equivalent) examination.

Things to Keep Ready before filling JEE Main 2019 Application Form
Before filling the JEE Main application form 2019, there were some things which had to be kept ready by the candidates. Documents such as photograph, signature and more had to be scanned and uploaded by the candidates till October 1. The following items were supposed to be kept ready for the process of filling the application form of JEE Main 2019:
Aadhaar Card or Aadhaar Enrollment Number scanned images of passport, voter ID or any valid Govt ID.
Email ID and Mobile Number
Scanned images of photograph and signature of the candidate as per given specifications.
10th and 12th standard details
Credit/Debit/Net banking details if the fee is paid online
The candidates should also have made sure that while filling the online application form of JEE Main 2019, they had stable internet connection. To avoid technical glitches, the preferred web browsers were:

How to Fill JEE Main Application Form 2019?
The application form of JEE Main 2019 will be available in two sessions from this year onwards. For the January session, registrations were open from September 1 to 30, 2018. Meanwhile, for the April session, the application form will be released on February 8 to March 7, 2019. The given steps can be checked by the candidates for reference to fill the JEE Main 2019 application form:

Step 1 – Registration
Firstly, the candidates will have to register for JEE Main 2019. After clicking the “Apply for JEE Main 2019” button, the candidates will have to go ahead and click on “Proceed to Apply Online”. Next, the candidates will have to fill the given details:
State of Eligibility
Identification Type (Aadhaar, Student ID, Passport, Ration Card, Bank Account)
Name of the Candidate
Date of Birth
Step 2 – Filling of Online Application Form
Next, the candidates will have to go ahead and fill the JEE Main application form 2019. The following details have to be filled by the candidates. All of the information submitted has to be valid in nature.
Examination Related Details – The candidates will have to select the paper they will be appearing for and preferred language medium of the question paper.
- Personal Details – Details such as the name of the candidate, father and mother’s name, category, whether they fall under the category of Person with Disability or not. More such details have to be filled by the candidates.
- Qualifying Examination Details- Candidates will have to fill the details like marks obtained in class 10+2, board etc.
Contact Details – The address of the candidates has to be filled. According to the guidelines, it is not necessary for the address to match with the Aadhaar card details.
Details of the Guardian –Information regarding the details of the guardian/parent’s occupation, qualification and annual income has to be submitted
- Selections of Exam Centres- While applying candidates have to select any four cities of their choice for Paper-1 or Paper-2 or both Paper-1 & Paper-2 for examination of JEE Main 2019.
Information regarding Creation of Password
After filling the JEE Main 2019 online application form, the candidates will have to create their password for future logins and also select their choice of security question and the corresponding answer. The following details should be remembered while creating the password:
The password should have 8 to 13 characters.
The password should have at least one upper case alphabet, one lower case alphabet and atleast one numeric value.
There should be at least one of the special characters in the selected password - [email protected]#$%^&*_.
The candidates will have to review and submit the JEE Main 2019 application form after selecting the password. The application number will be generated which has to be noted by the candidates since it will be used for future logins.
Step 3 - Uploading of Scanned Documents
Next, the candidates will have to upload their scanned documents in the JEE Main application form 2019. The documents to be uploaded are the candidate’s photograph and signature. To upload the documents, the candidates will have to click on “Upload Scanned Images” tab. The specifications for the scanned documents are provided in the table given below.

How to pay JEE Main 2019 Application Fee through e-challan?
In case, the candidates are paying the fee through e-challan, the candidates will have to follow the given steps:
An A4 size print out of the e-challan has to be taken out in PDF format from SBI MOPS page which will consist of the NTA's required information in addition to Bank Reference Number.
The candidates will have to visit any of the SBI branches in India and deposit the amount mentioned in the e-challan in cash. The bank will only accept pre-printed amounted in e-challan.
Amount mentioned in e-challan, reference numbers are un-editable and after cash is deposited by the candidates, CBS system of SBI will update the payment status as being successful.
The candidates are requested to visit any of the SBI branches for depositing cash immediately (at least within 12 hours after taking the print out of e-challan) so that payment status in the system is updated for the candidate.
The offline system of cash deposit through e-challan will be equivalent to online deposit as SBI's CBS is integrated with MOPS for updating records for the candidates opting for this method to deposit fee. It should be noted that the MOPS system will update the payment status of the particular candidate only after the successful deposit of cash through the CBS system of any of the SBI Branches within the prescribed time limit.
The reprint of the e-challan can be taken out by the candidates through the SBI online website under the tab SBI MOPS and select the appropriate examination under National Testing Agency. The reprint of the e-challan can be taken by submitting the required information.
Step 5 – Printout of Acknowledgement Page
Finally, the candidates will have to take 4 print out their acknowledgement page. It has to be noted that the candidates are required to keep the acknowledgement page safely for future use.
How do I check the progress of my JEE Main 2019 Application Form?
The authorities will be providing “Application Form Progress” feature for all candidates on the left corner of the application window. Using this feature, the candidates will be able to check their status from the listed stage of the application process:

All candidates are requested to check their payment status at the official website and if the status is "OK", they will be able to take a print out of the confirmation page. The following steps have to be followed if the payment status is not "OK":
If the candidates have made the payment through challan then they should immediately contact their concerned bank to update their fee status on the website.
If payment is done online, then it means that the transaction is cancelled and the amount will be refunded automatically within 7 to 10 days. Therefore, the candidates will have to pay the fees once again.
If there is any discrepancy in the photograph and signature of the candidate in the confirmation page, then they will have to approach the helpline from December 17 to 23, 2018 (10 AM to 5 PM)
JEE Main 2019 Application Form Correction Process
The authorities had opened the application correction window facility for JEE Main application form 2019 from October 8 onwards till October 14. During this time period, the registered candidates could edit most of their submitted information. Payment of fees had to be done to make the corrections. However, there were some details which were not open for correction.
Forgot Password in JEE Main Application Form 2019?
Reset the password by answering the security question selected during the registration process.
The verification code will be sent to the registered mobile number and reset link will be sent to the email id.
This verification code has to be submitted after which password can be reset.
Forgot JEE Main 2019 Application Number?
Click on “I cannot access my account?”
Following that, click on “I forgot my JEE Main application number” button
The candidates will have to enter details like their name, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, state of eligibility and security pin.
After these steps are fulfilled, the application number will be given back to the candidates.

What after JEE Main Application Form 2019?
All of the eligible registered candidates will be able to download their admit card for the entrance examination. The admit card will consist of the details regarding when and where the examination will be conducted along with other information. It is essential for all candidates to produce the admit card of JEE Main 2019 at the exam centre. Without the exam centre, the candidates will not be allowed to attempt the examination. The JEE Main 2019 admit card for the January session is now available.

Q. In case a transaction fails while paying the fee, what needs to be done?
Ans: If the payment status of the online transaction (by credit/ debit card) is not communicated by payment gateway in real time, then fee payment is not completed. In this case, the candidates are required to pay the fees again either through the online transaction or by e-challan and to download the acknowledgement page. The failed transaction amount of credit/debit card is refunded within 7 to 10 days. In case, fee payment is made through e-challan and the fee is not updated on the website, the candidate will have to contact the concerned bank/branch for the updation of the fee.
