The application form of JEE Main 2018 will be available only in online mode. The final date to fill and submit the application form is January 1, 2018. The required application fees can be paid by the candidates till January 2, 2018. Candidates who wish to attempt JEE Main examination will be requested to apply online through JEE Main 2018 official website. While filling JEE Main 2018 application form, the candidates will be required to provide valid personal, educational information and more. The submission of the Aadhaar card number has been made mandatory for all candidates. While filling the JEE Main application form, the candidates will have to provide their Aadhaar card number for identification purposes. Selection of four examination centres as per preference also has to be done by the candidates in the application form of JEE Main 2018. How to Fill JEE Main Application Form 2018?

 

The application form of JEE Main 2018 will be available in online mode. The steps to fill JEE Main 2018 application form/ registration are:

Step 1 – JEE Main 2018 Registration 

 

Registration is the first step of JEE Main application form 2018. All candidates will be required to register themselves as follows.

  • The link for JEE Main registration 2018 will be available here as soon as it is released officially on December 1, 2017.

  • Click on “Apply for JEE Main 2018”

  • The candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully

  • Click on “Proceed to Apply Online”

A new page will be displayed on the screen and the candidates will have to fill the following information:

  • Nationality

  • State of Eligibility

  • Aadhaar Card Number

  • Candidate’s Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Gender

  • Security Pin

After filling up the required information, the candidates will have to click on “Submit”.

Choose Password

 

The candidates will have to create a password and choose a security question and answer. The password must have 8 to 13 characters and should have at least one upper case alphabet, one lower case alphabet, and at least one numeric value. The password should also have at least one of these special characters - [email protected]#$%^&*-

 

After filling in the security pin, the candidates will have to select “Next”. The filled details will be displayed on the screen and the candidates will be able to edit their submitted information. Click on “Final Submit” if all submitted information is correct. The application number will be generated after the submission.

 

Step 3 – Uploading of Scanned Documents

 

After submitting the required information in the application form of JEE Main 2018, the candidates will have to upload their photograph, signature and the signature of their father/mother/guardian The required specifications of the scanned document are listed above.

  • Click on “Upload Scanned Images”

  • The candidates will have to select “Choose File” to upload the scanned documents.

  • Check the preview button and then the candidates can upload the documents.

Step 4 – Payment of Application Fees

 

In the next step of JEE Main 2018 application form, the candidates will have to pay the required application fees. The required JEE Main application fees can be paid through any of the four options given below:

  • Credit Card: The candidates paying through credit card will have to pay additional charges: 1.20% of the examination fee plus GST as applicable.

  • Debit Card: While doing the payment through debit card, the candidates will have to pay additional charges: 0.75% of the examination fee plus GST for exam fee upto Rs. 2000 and 1% + GST for examination fee more than Rs. 2000.

  • E-Challan: After the application form is submitted, the E-Challan will be generated. The candidates will then have to pay the application fee through cash at any branch of Syndicate Bank, Canara Bank, HDFC and ICICI Bank.

No other mode of payment will be accepted by the admission authorities. If the candidates have paid the application fee through net banking and card, then he/she will have to mention their card details.

 

Method to calculate your JEE Main 2018 Registration Fee

 

The examination fee calculator will be made available by CBSE in online mode. The candidates will have to enter the following details:

  • Applying for (JEE Main Paper I/JEE Main Paper II/JEE Main Paper I or II both)

In the final step of JEE Main 2018 application form/ registration, the candidates will have to download the acknowledgement slip after the payment of application fees. The acknowledgement slip will have to be kept safe for future reference.

 

Forgot Password in JEE Main Application Form 2018?

 

The password has to be created by the candidates while filling the JEE Main 2018  application form. All candidates are advised to keep their password confidential and safe for all future use. In case of any problem, the candidates will be able to reset their password of JEE Main application form 2018 through:

  • Security question and answer chosen by the candidates during the filling of the JEE Main application form.

  • Verification code sent on the registered mobile number.

  • Using a reset link sent to you on your registered email ID

Forgot JEE Main 2018 Application Number?

 

If the candidates forget their application number, then they will be required to click on “I can’t access my account?”.  Following that, the candidates will have to select “I forgot my JEE Main Application Number” after which the following details will have to be submitted similar to the information submitted during registration:

  • JEE Main 2018 application form will be available only in online mode.

  • All information provided must be valid and according to the documents possessed by the candidates.

  • The application number will be generated after the submission of JEE Main application form 2018. Since the application number will be used as the login ID, it has to be kept safe by the candidates.

  • The acknowledgement receipt will be available for the candidates after the submission of the application form of JEE Main 2018.

  • The candidates are advised to keep 6-8 identical photographs for future use in the admission process. The photograph has to be the exact one used during registrations.

  • Candidates should have their Aadhaar Card number ready with them while filling the online application form. Those candidates who do not have enrolled for the Aadhaar Card are requested to do so. While filling the application form, those candidates who have applied for Aadhaar but have not received their number can submit their 28 digit Aadhaar enrolment ID printed on the Aadhaar enrolment slip.

Q. Is the Aadhaar Card mandatory for candidates across India?

Ans: No, Aadhaar Card number is not required in case of candidates belonging to Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir. Candidates belonging to the states of Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir can fill the application form of JEE Main 2018 using their Passport Number, ration card number, bank account, any other valid Govt. identity number provided they should select the city of examination in these states only.

 

Q. In case a transaction fails while paying the fee, what needs to be done?

Ans: If the payment status of the online transaction (by credit/debit card) is not communicated by payment gateway in real time, then fee payment is not completed. In this case, the candidates are required to pay the fees again either through the online transaction or by e-challan and to download the acknowledgement page. Your amount of failed transaction of credit/debit card will be refunded back within 7 to 10 days.

 In case, fee payment is made through e-challan and the fee is not updated on the website, the candidate has to contact the concerned bank/branch for updation of fee. However, such candidates may also send the copy of paid e-challan through e-mail on [email protected]
