Hello,
Yes, with 87 percentile in JEE Main 2025 and EWS category , you are most likely eligible for JEE Advanced .
But please note, official cutoff for JEE Advanced eligibility will be released by NTA after all JEE Main sessions are over. So, you should wait for the official cutoff to be 100% sure.
For reference, in previous years , EWS cutoff was around 65-70 percentile , so your score is above that.
You can also check your exact CRL and EWS rank once the results are out, that will help more.
Hope it helps !
Yes, you can get a college in Maharashtra through MHT CET even if you're not from the state. But:
You’re only eligible for All India Quota seats in private colleges , not government ones.
Your JEE score won’t help much here — you’ll need to appear for MHT CET .
Focus on scoring well in MHT CET to get good private colleges like MIT WPU, DY Patil, VIT Pune, etc.
Best of Luck!!
Since your JEE score isn’t that great but your 12th marks are solid, don’t worry — you still have good options:
Try state-level exams like MHT CET or COMEDK — they’re easier than JEE and can get you into good private colleges.
Look into direct admission — colleges like MIT WPU, Manipal, VIT, and SRM accept students based on board marks or management quota.
As a backup , you can also consider CUET and go for a B.Sc. in CS — it still leads to great career paths if you stay focused.
ALL THE BEST!!
Yes, you’re eligible for JEE Advanced 2025 as an SC category female with 70 percentile in the Jan attempt. The cutoff for SC is usually much lower (around 50–55), so you’re in a safe zone.
Even if you missed the second attempt due to health reasons, don’t worry — one attempt is enough. You’ve got this, so feel free to start preparing with confidence!
Go for it!

With 76.31 percentile (SC, Female, West Bengal) in JEE Main 2025 , your SC category rank is likely above 35,000 .
IIEST Shibpur : Low chance for CSE/IT; possible in Mining or Civil.
NIT Durgapur (Home State) : Tough for top branches; Civil or lower branches may be possible.
Newer IIITs/GFTIs : Some chances in lower branches depending on cutoff trends.

Very small number of students take second drop for JEE because it is not worth it. Rather do as much as hard work in the first and second attempts and admit in the college you are getting in the immediate counselling.
Rather work hard in the four years of Btech than wasting years to get Tier 1 colleges cause now even IITs can't fetch you good jobs. High packages job only depends on the candidate's skill and competency.
With a 92 percentile in JEE Main 2025, your All India Rank (AIR) would be approximately 120,000.
For the OBC (NCL) category, your category rank would be significantly lower (better) than your general rank, likely around 30,000 - 40,000, but this can vary depending on the number of OBC candidates and overall competition.
This rank might give you a chance in some NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, especially in lower branches or home-state quotas, but it depends on the cutoffs for each institute.
