hi,
Yes, you can apply for JEE B.Arch if you have scored 65% in your 12th exams and you belong to the OBC category. For JEE B.Arch, the basic eligibility is that you should have passed 12th with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. The percentage requirement for OBC category is relaxed compared to the general category. Usually, candidates from OBC need at least 65% in their 12th board exams to be eligible. So, with your score and category, you are eligible to apply for JEE B.Arch.
hi,
With a JEE Main CRL rank of around 1,92,000, getting into the top NITs and IIITs would be quite difficult because their cutoffs usually close much earlier. However, you still have a chance to get admission into some of the newer NITs or GFTIs, especially if you are flexible with the branch and location. In many cases, branches like Civil, Mechanical, or some of the newer courses in less competitive colleges tend to have higher closing ranks where you might fit in. Also, your chances can improve a lot if you are eligible for state quota or have any category reservation like SC, ST, or OBC, because the cutoffs for these categories are generally higher.
Your JEE Main rank of 1839 (79.44 percentile) in OBC and 5628 in General category can get you possible engineering colleges. In case of B.Arch, you have a rank of 6003.
You may want to look into colleges which have admitted ranks similar to yours in the past years. State level colleges or the private ones may be some of the alternatives.
To have a closer look, you may visit the college predictors or counseling tools, which are offered online. They will facilitate your access to tools that will enable you to estimate your chances of joining particular colleges depending on your rank and preferences.
Dear student,
If you're passionate about design and have a decent JEE Main rank, the choice between
ISDI Mumbai (Product Design)
and
NIT Rourkela (B.Tech in Industrial Design)
comes down to your goals.
ISDI Mumbai is a pure design institute focused on creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning. The program emphasizes real-world projects, portfolio building, and exposure to Mumbai’s design industry. It’s best for those who want a career in creative design , user experience, or product innovation. Admission is based on the ISDI Challenge , not JEE.
NIT Rourkela
, on the other hand, offers a design-oriented B.Tech that blends engineering and product design. It’s a good fit if you're looking for a
technical degree with a design element
. The course includes CAD, UX, manufacturing, and product development. Admission is through
JEE Main and JoSAA
, with strong placements and a top-tier campus.
Your decision should align with whether you see yourself as a
designer first
or an
engineer with design skills
.
Take your time
dear student,
Yes — with
950/1000 in AP Board
(95%) and a
92.97 percentile in JEE Mains
, you have a
very good chance
of getting admission into SASTRA University for B.Tech, especially in
core branches
like ECE, EEE, or Mechanical. For
CSE
, the competition is tougher but still possible depending on the year’s cut-off.
Hello,
No, you cannot get admission to an Integrated B.Sc. (Hons) + M.Sc. in CS/AI/DS course through JEE Main in most colleges.
JEE Main is mainly for B.E./B.Tech courses in engineering colleges like NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs . For integrated B.Sc. + M.Sc. courses, colleges conduct their own entrance exams or take admission based on Class 12 marks .
Some central universities or institutes like IISER , ISI , or CUET-based universities may offer such courses, but JEE Main is not accepted there for this type of programme.
So, check the specific college’s website to know the admission process.
Hope it helps !
Dear Sourabh,
Institutes accepting JEE Main for Integrated CS/AI/DS Programs
1. IIIT- Hyderabad
2. IIIT- Delhi
3. Central Universities (like CUJ, CUH, etc.)
4. Private Universities like Ashoka University, Shiv Nadar University etc.
Hope you get it!
Dear Candidate ,
Yes , you are eligible and have a reasonable chance of getting a seat through HPCET counseling, especially in colleges and branches where the cutoff is lower for ST candidates.
Based on previous years trends and the current 2025 data , ST category candidates with similar or even lower scores have secured admission in government and affiliated private colleges in Himachal Pradesh , such as JNGEC and other HPTU- affiliated institutes. Final allotment will depend on the 2025 cutoffs , your preferences , and seat availability.
