CSAB Counselling 2025 - The Central Seat Allocation Board has announced the CSAB UT 2025 supplementary seat allotment on August 27, 2025. The authority has activated the CSAB 2025 UT seat allotment link on the official website, csab.nic.in. To download the seat allotment, candidates will need their application number and password. The CSAB 2025 counselling will conduct seat allocation through three channels - Special, NEUT and Supernumerary. This year, the authority has also clubbed DASA with CSAB special rounds. The CSAB is conducting three special rounds of CSAB counselling to allocate the vacant seats of the NIT+system based on JEE Mains. CSAB 2025 is conducted for those candidates who have missed the JoSAA counselling. Hence, they can participate in CSAB to get admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) conducts the CSAB counselling to fill vacant seats of the NIT+system through three additional CSAB special rounds. A separate CSAB supernumerary round is conducted for admission to supernumerary seats for Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli in selected NITs (NIT Durgapur, NIT Calicut and SVNIT Surat). In addition, CSAB NEUT rounds are also conducted for seat allocation to candidates of North-East states and Union Territories. Candidates must note that the CSAB counselling 2025 will begin after the completion of all rounds of JoSAA 2025. Moreover, the counselling of CSAB 2025 is based on the JEE Mains 2025 ranks.

The authority has published the eligibility criteria for CSAB counselling online in the information brochure. Candidates who satisfy the CSAB eligibility criteria can participate in the CSAB counselling 2025. All candidates who are eligible in JoSAA for the NIT+ System as per JEE Main 2025 will be eligible for the CSAB special round. The CSAB eligibility conditions as per the previous year are as mentioned below:
Those who did not register in JoSAA 2025 rounds but are eligible as per the eligibility criteria.
Candidates who have participated in JoSAA but have not been allotted any seat.
Students who participated in JoSAA 2025 and have been allotted seats but cancelled due to non-payment of the seat acceptance fee.
Candidates who have exercised the exit option during JoSAA 2025 counselling.
Those candidates who have participated in JoSAA and have been allotted seats in any IIT or NIT+system and later their seats have been cancelled after document verification or they have withdrawn from their allotted seats or they have taken admission therein.
Those who participated in JoSAA and have been allotted seats in NIT+ System and have already secured admission at the allotted institute by paying the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) and Partial Admission Fee (PAF).
Candidates who have participated in JoSAA 2025 have been allotted seats in the NIT+ system and later they have withdrawn from their allotted seats.

Online Registration: Candidates who fulfil the CSAB eligibility criteria have to complete the CSAB registration process online. Students must register using the JEE Main 2025 application number and password. Interested candidates have to complete the online registration for CSAB counselling before the last date. Candidates have to upload their educational qualifications and category documents, wherever applicable. The details of the applicant will be taken from the JEE Main application form and they have to upload the scanned images of documents only. The list of documents required are:
Certificate of Class 10
Marksheet of Class 12
Category certificate - Gen-EWS, OBC NCL, SC & ST candidates
PwD certificate, if applicable in the prescribed format from a competent authority
NRI candidates need to upload a scanned image of their Passport.
OCI/PIO candidates need to upload the OCI/PIO card.
Candidates will be needed to provide their bank account details and marks out of 500 in their 12th class exam.
Students have to take utmost care while filling in the information in the CSAB special round registration 2025 as the information once submitted can not be modified at later stages.
Payment of CSAB counselling fee: After registration, all the candidates are required to pay the Special Round Enrolment Fee using Net Banking/Debit card/Credit card or State Bank of India e-challan.

Online Choice Filling and Locking: After the completion of the fee payment, all the candidates are required to fill in their fresh choices. The previously filled Choices during JoSAA 2025 rounds will not be considered for allotment in CSAB 2025 special rounds. Candidates are advised to carefully fill in their choices and submit them before the due date. Applicants who do not lock their choices will not be considered for the seat allotment process. Candidates must download and take a printout of their locked choices.
CSAB Seat Allotment: The authority announced the CSAB 2025 seat allotment online on the official website. Candidates can check their allotment status by logging into the candidate portal using their login credentials. The seat allotment for the vacant seats will be based on the JEE Mains 2025 ranks. Candidates who are allotted a seat have to exercise one of the following options:
Freeze - When the candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat and does not wish to participate in further rounds of counselling.
Float - When the candidate is satisfied with the seat but would like to be considered for other institutes during the future rounds of seat allocation.
Slide - When the candidate has accepted the seat allotted but is also open for admission into a higher preferred course in the same institute.
5. Physical Reporting at the Allotted Institute: After completion of CSAB Special rounds 1 and 2, candidates who have confirmed allotted seats will have to report physically to the allotted institute for admission. Such candidates will have to complete all the admission modalities/formalities and pay the balance institute fee (as applicable), failing which their allotment may be cancelled and no refund will be admissible.
