GATE Answer Key 2020 - IIT Delhi has ended the process to contest the released GATE 2020 answer key. Candidates were able to raise objections against the provisional answer key till February 21 by paying Rs. 500 per question. All of the objections should have a valid supporting document. Otherwise, the challenges will not be considered by the exam authorities. The genuine cases (if proved correct) will be considered for revision and the final answer key of GATE 2020 will be released tentatively in the second week of March 2020. The official answer key of GATE 2020 was released on February 18 and has the correct responses to the questions asked in the examination. On February 17, 2020, authorities released the question papers of GATE 2020. Candidates can now predict their probable GATE scores by comparing their answers with the provisional keys. The candidates were able to challenge the answer key if they are not satisfied with any of the answers mentioned on the provisional answer key of GATE 2020 till February 21. The followings was the complete procedure to challenge the answer key.
Go to the official GOAPS website (http://appsgate.iitd.ac.in/)
Choose the “Contest Answer Key" option on the web page.
Now, the web page was redirected to the payment gateway.
The candidates had to make the payment of Rs. 500 through online mode (per challenge). For NRI candidates, the fee is US $ 10.
The candidate had to enter the question number correctly that they wanted to challenge.
Justification for contest (maximum 500 characters) had to be provided by the candidates.
Before the submission of objection, attach the necessary supporting documents in the prescribed format.
Note: The candidates had to check that the serial number of question was mentioned as per the official question paper released on the website while challenging the GATE 2020 answer key. It was important to check that the candidates selected the right section and question number. Otherwise, the challenge will not be considered by exam authorities. The candidates also had to specify the section name and question number in the supporting document before uploading such documents.

The answer key has been released by IIT Delhi, which provides transparency to the admission process because it reduces the chance of unwanted penalization of candidate and extra marks awarded in GATE 2020.
The candidates can use the facility of challenging the answer key within the given time period, if they have any objections/doubts against the answer key.
The exam authorities will consider all the challenges/objections by the candidate before the declaration of GATE 2020.
IIT Delhi has released the GATE 2020 response sheet on February 12. To access the response sheet and the question papers, candidates will have to follow the steps available below.
Login to the GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System) by using the credentials includes enrollment number or email id, date of birth and registration id.
To view the response sheet, click on the ‘view response sheet’ button on the screen.
Candidates can see the response sheet on the display.
They can save the web page is as a PDF.
The candidates can find the following steps to calculate the probable score.
They have to calculate the total number of correct attempts and allocate marks accordingly and then calculate the overall marks.
The candidate have to tally the total negative marks for wrong attempts. Only Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) have negative marking. There is no negative marking for NAT questions.
The total marks = Total marks secured for correct response – Negative marks for wrong response
MCQ Marks: Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks)
Total marks (1 mark) = 1 x no. of correct attempts – 1/3 x no. of wrong attempts
Total marks (2 marks) = 2 x number of correct attempts – 2/3 x number of wrong attempts
NAT Marks: Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks)

GATE Result 2020 will be published by exam authorities on March 16, 2020. Candidates will get the intimation about the result from careers360 once the results announced. Candidates should use valid login credentials to view their GATE Result 2020 from the website. Candidates can log in to GOAPS (GATE Online Application Process System) by using the GATE Enrolment ID / Email Address / Registration ID and password. The GATE Result 2020 will be displayed on the screen after submitted the log in details.
GATE 2020 cut off is the minimum qualifying marks required to clear the entrance test. GATE cut off 2020 will be based on factors like total number of candidates appeared in the exam, performance of the candidates in the examination, difficulty level of the exam and past year cut off trends.
