VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2019 – Vellore Institute of Technology has released the VITEEE 2019 eligibility criteria details in a notification released on September 21. The eligibility criteria of VITEEE 2019 includes details of the qualifying exam, subjects studied, minimum marks needed, age criteria, and other details. It is important for the candidates to read through the VITEEE eligibility criteria 2019 before filling the forms as the candidates who fail to meet the criteria would not be allowed to sit for the exam. The candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology can apply for B.Tech in Bio-Technology, Bio Engineering programmes. They can also apply for specialization in Biomedical Engineering, B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Bioinformatics but should take maths as a bridge course.
Both the residents and non-residents of India can apply
Foreign applicants can apply through Foreign National Application Form.
The candidates with Date of birth on or after 1st July 1997 can apply for the VITEEE 2019.
Please Note: The date of birth recorded at class X/ SSC/ High School certificate will only be considered authentic.
The candidate who wish to appear in the VITEEE 2019 exam should have completed.
Should have passed 10+2 of Higher Secondary Examination through CBSE, ICSE or any other State Board.
The candidate who has given any Pre-University Examination or Intermediate through recognised Board or University.
The candidate with a High School Certification from Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma from the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
The candidate with any General Certificate Education(GCE) from Cambridge/London/ Srilanka with an Advanced 'A' level.
The candidates from National Institute of Open Learning (NIOS) can apply.
All the students who have studied full time, regular and formal education can apply.
Qualifying Marks and subjects
Should have scored 60% and above in Maths/ Biology, Chemistry and Physics in their 10+2 respective exams.
Candidates from SC/ST Categories should have scored 50% in the above mentioned subjects.
Candidates from the North-East should also have 50% and above in all the subjects.
The students who have studied Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics are eligible to appear for the exam.
Year of Passing
The candidates who want to appear for VITEEE 2019 should have either completed or shall be appearing in the qualifying exam in 2019.
Eligibility Criteria for NRI's and Foreign Students
The Candidates should have studied from an English Medium School.
For Admissions in any B.Tech course a Candidate should have completed 10+2 years with Physics, Chemistry, Maths/ Biology.
A minimum of 60% in all the subjects mentioned is mandatory.
Eligibility Criteria for admissions
Only candidates who qualify in VITEEE 2019 will be shortlisted for counselling and admissions. Such candidates will be called for counselling in the order of their merit ranks for choosing the branch and campus they prefer to study in. VIT has two campuses in Vellore and Chennai in addition to the VIT-AP University at Amravati and VIT Bhopal. Admissions to all these institutions are through VITEEE.
