VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2018 – The eligibility criteria of VITEEE 2018 has been announced by VIT University, the exam conducting body. VITEEE 2018 eligibility criteria include details related to age limit, qualifying exam, and minimum marks that a candidate must fulfil to be considered for admission to the B.Tech programmes offered. Candidates who don’t meet the VITEEE eligibility criteria 2018 will not be considered for admission. It is also important that when filling the application form of VITEEE 2018, candidates use only factual information, or else their candidature may be cancelled at any point during the admission process. Candidates who are shortlisted based on their performance in VITEEE 2018 will have to submit originals of relevant documents. At the time of counselling, the admission authority will verify whether the candidate meets the eligibility criteria of VITEEE 2018. Candidates who pass the document verification round during counselling will be considered for seat allotment. Every year some 2 lakh candidates take the VITEEE exam for admission to B.Tech programmes offered by VIT University. This year the entrance exam will be held from April 4-15, 2018. Both Indian nationals and Non-Resident Indians can apply
Aspiring candidates should be born on or after July 1, 1996.
Note: As proof of age, only High School/ SSC/X Certificate will be accepted.
Minimum marks required for Qualifying Examination
To meet the eligibility criteria of VITEEE 2018, the candidate must attain a minimum percentage of marks as outlined below.
Candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
For SC/ST category candidates and those belonging the North Eastern states and Jammu and Kashmir, the minimum aggregate requirement is 50%.
As per VITEEE 2018 eligibility criteria, the candidate needs to be born on before July 1, 1996. Only the following certificates will be accepted as proof of age:
The certificate must be produced in original at the time of counselling as proof of age. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
Marks in VITEEE 2018
To be considered for admission, it is mandatory that candidates appear in VITEEE 2018. Based on the marks obtained in the examination, candidates will be shortlisted and called for counselling.
VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2018: Additional Points
Candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics combination can appy to all the 20 B.Tech. Degree Programmes offered by the university.
Candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible for B.Tech. Bio-Medical Engineering and B.Tech. Biotechnology programmes. They can also apply for B.Tech. Computer Science and Engg (Spec.in Bioinformatics) but after joining, they have to undertake Mathematics as a compulsory bridge course.
At the time of admission, the candidate must submit originals of relevant documents, including age certificate.
