Candidates will be able to fill the GATE application form 2023 till September 30. However, candidates will be able to submit GATE application form 2023 with late fee till October 7. - Personal information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parents' name, parents' mobile number, etc.).
(Please note that the name of the candidate in the application form must exactly be the same as that in the valid photo ID, which the candidate MUST produce in original while appearing for GATE2023 examination at the centre.)
- GATE 2023 scorecard will be issued as per the name entered in the application form.
- Prefix/title such as Mr / Shri / Dr / Mrs / Smt / Prof / Capt / Maj / Lt / Col / Er / Ar, etc. must not be used before name.
- Address for Communication (including PIN code).
- Eligibility degree details.
- GATE paper(s) / subjects and their codes in which the candidate wishes to appear.

Step 1 - GATE Registration: Register through GATE online application processing system 2023 (GOAPS) using GATE 2023 registration link given in the article for GATE 2023 login. Enter the following to register for GATE exam 2023.
- Candidate’s first, middle name and surname
- Valid email ID
- Country of residence
- Mobile number
- Password for future login
After entering all the above-mentioned details, click on the submit ‘tab’. A system-generated One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number. Use the OTP to complete the GATE registration 2023. Thereafter, a unique enrollment ID will be allotted to the successfully registered candidates.
Note: If there is a delay in receiving the OTP, the candidates can proceed for payment with verification of either email ID or mobile number. The remaining one has to be verified at a later stage.
Step 2 - Login and fill GATE exam online application form 2023- Enter the following details to fill the application form once the GATE registration is completed:
- Personal Details: Information like the name of candidate, father’s & mother name, date of birth, nativity etc need to be entered.
- Academic Detail: Information related to academic qualifications from HSC till graduation need to be entered.
- Communication Details: Address as well as the permanent address need to fill.
- GATE Paper: Select the GATE paper appearing for. Note: Change of GATE 2023 exam paper is not allowed after submission of the form.
- GATE 2023 Exam Centre: Select a total of three exam cities from the given list. The first two centres must be from the same zone while the third can be from any GATE 2023 regional zone.
- Photo Identity Proof: The photo ID number and type of ID have to be entered
Step 3 - Upload scanned images of photo, signature and other documents
Step 4 - Preview of GATE 2023 application form before submission: Review and verify all the details entered before submission.
Step 5 - Pay GATE 2023 application fees: GATE exam registration fee can be paid online through Net-banking/debit card/credit card. The application fee vary as per the category of the candidates. Mentioned below is the application fee that candidates will have to pay:

How to Check GATE 2023 Application Status?
To check the application status, candidates will have to login at GATE 2023 registration link using login credentials. If the application status of GATE is ‘Under Scrutiny/Under Process’, then the candidates need not to worry. The responsible authorities scrutinize all the GATE application forms 2023 and those candidates whose application needs to get rectified in photograph/signature/supporting document got an automatic email/SMS.

Question: How to apply for GATE 2023?
Answer:

Question: Can one e-mail address be used to fill multiple application form of GATE 2023?
Answer:
No. One e-mail address can be used to submit only one GATE application form 2023. Candidates are discouraged to fill multiple application forms using different e-mail addresses.
Question: Only SC/ST/PwD candidates have been asked to upload the category certificates. What about the OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates? Do they have to upload the category certificate too?
Answer:
No. Category certificate is required only for Indian nationals (appearing from exam centres within India), who wish to avail a concession in application fee. As far as the GATE is concerned, only SC/ST/PwD candidates and all women candidates are eligible for application fee concession.
Question: How to make the fee payment for GATE 2023?
Answer:
The application fee of GATE 2023 can paid only in online mode. There is a link to the payment gateway from the application portal. The candidate can opt for any of the payment options listed over there. The additional charges such as service charges, processing fees or bank charges, have to be borne by the candidate.
Question: Net banking account has been debited more than once. How do I get the money back?
Answer:
Any unaccounted or excess money that was received on behalf of GATE 2023 from this account, will automatically be returned (credited) to the same bank account. However, this may take a week or more, after the closure of the application process.
Question: Do I have to send the printout of the application form?
Answer:
No. The printout of the application form is not required to be sent to the organizing institute or any other GATE zonal offices.
Question: If I have not uploaded a photograph as per the specifications mentioned, will my application be rejected?
Answer:
Yes, the GATE Application Form 2023 will be rejected.
