GATE Registration 2021 - Application Form Correction Closed
GATE Registration 2021: IIT Bombay has closed the GATE 2021 application form. IIT Bombay scrutinised the GATE application form 2021 submitted by candidates and intimated them about defects in information, if any till October 26 for correction. Last date to complete GATE 2021 registration October 14 (with late fees). Last date to fill GATE application form without late fee was October 8, 2020 (5 PM). In order to access the form for GATE exam registration, candidates had to register at GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) through GATE 2021 official website gate.iitb.ac.in or directly at appsgate.iitb.ac.in. The process of filling GATE application form 2021 included registration, filling form, uploading documents and payment of application fees for GATE 2021. GATE registration fee was different depending upon the category of the candidate. Candidates are given here the detailed steps and procedure to fill and submit GATE application form 2021. Before filling out the application form, the candidates must check GATE 2021 eligibility criteria. Only those candidates had registered and submitted the GATE registration 2021 within last date will be allowed to appear for the entrance examination. GATE is conducted to screen the candidates to offer admission into M.E./M.Tech/PhD at the IITs, NITS, IIITs and CFTIs and also for recruitment in PSUs. GATE 2021 registration is closed now. GATE application form 2021 was available online through GOAPS website appsgate.iitb.ac.in . Last date to apply for GATE 2021 was October 8 without late fee and with late fee, last date was October 14. GATE exam registration process includes uploading of photograph, signature, certificate of qualifying degree, category certificate (SC/ST/PwD) and/or Dyslexic certificate, wherever applicable, during filling the online application form. For GATE 2021 registration, candidates will be required to enter the ID number specified in any one of the following IDs - Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar - UID, College ID, Employee ID and Driving License. Before, proceeding towards filling the GATE exam registration 2021, keep the following documents ready:

Note: Please note that the name of the candidate in the application form must exactly be the same as that in the qualifying degree certificate or the certificate issued by the Head of the Department/Institute in which the candidate is pursuing his/her study. Step for GATE 2021 Registration
Read the step by step procedure to fill and submit GATE application form 2021:
Step 1 - Registration: Register through GATE online application processing system 2021 (GOAPS) using GATE 2021 registration link given in the article (will be updated as and when activated) for GATE 2021 login. Enter the following to register for GATE exam 2021
Candidate’s first, middle name and surname
Valid email ID
Country of residence
Mobile number
Password for future login
After entering all the above mentioned details, click on the submit ‘tab’. A system generated One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number. Use the OTP to complete the GATE registration 2021.
Thereafter, a unique enrollment ID will be allotted to the successfully registered candidates.
Note: If there is delay in receiving the OTP, the candidates can proceed for payment with verification of anyone either email ID or mobile number. The remaining one has to be verified at a later stage.
Step 2 - Login and fill GATE 2021 application form - Enter the following details to fill the application form once the registration is completed:
Personal Details: Information like the name of candidate, father’s & mother name, date of birth, nativity etc need to be entered.
Academic Detail: Information related to academic qualifications from HSC till graduation need to be entered.
Communication Details: Address as well as the permanent address need to fill.
GATE Paper: Select the GATE paper appearing for. Note: Change of GATE exam paper is not allowed after submission of the form.
GATE Exam Centre: Select total of three exams cities from the given list. The first two centres must be from the same zone while the third can be from any GATE 2021 regional zone.
Photo Identity Proof: The photo ID number and type of ID have to be entered
Step 3 - Upload scanned images of photo, signature and other documents
Step 4 - Preview of GATE 2021 application form before submission: Review and verify all the details entered before submission.
Step 5 - Pay GATE 2021 application fees: GATE exam registration fee can be paid online through Net-banking/debit card/credit card. The application fee vary as per the category of the candidates. Mentioned below is the application fee that candidates will have to pay:

Step 6 - Submit the application form: After the successful payment of fee, submit the GATE 2021 application form. Only those candidates who will register successfully will be able to access the admit card of GATE 2021.
How to Check GATE Application Status?
To check the application status candidates will have to login at GATE 2021 registration link using login credentials. If the application status of GATE is ‘Under Scrutiny/Under Process’, then the candidates need not to worry. The responsible authorities will scrutinize all the GATE application forms 2021 and those candidates whose application needs to get rectified in photograph/signature/supporting document will get an automatic email/SMS. The scrutiny process will continue until a few days after the application form is over.

Question: How to apply for GATE 2021?
Answer:
In order to apply for the entrance examination, candidates will have to fill and submit online application form of GATE 2021. Candidates can refer above to know the detailed procedure to fill and submit GATE 2021 application form.
Question: Can one e-mail address be used to fill multiple application form of GATE 2021?
Answer:
No. One e-mail address can be used to submit only one GATE application form 2021. Candidates are discouraged to fill multiple application forms using different e-mail addresses.
Question: Only SC/ST/PwD candidates have been asked to upload the category certificates. What about the OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates? Do they have to upload the category certificate too?
Answer:
No. Category certificate is required only for Indian nationals (appearing from exam centres within India), who wish to avail a concession in application fee. As far as the GATE 2021 is concerned, only SC/ST/PwD candidates and all women candidates are eligible for application fee concession.
Question: How to make the fee payment for GATE 2021?
Answer:
The application fee of GATE 2021 will be paid only in online mode. There will be a link to the payment gateway from the application portal. The candidate can opt for any of the payment options listed over there. The additional charges such as service charges, processing fees or bank charges, have to be borne by the candidate.
Question: Net banking account has been debited more than once. How do I get the money back?
Answer:
Any unaccounted or excess money that was received on behalf of GATE 2021 from this account, will automatically be returned (credited) to the same bank account. However, this may take a week or more, after the closure of the application process.
Question: Do I have to send the printout of the application form?
Answer:
No. The printout of the application form is not required to be sent to the organizing institute or any other GATE zonal offices.
Question: If I have not uploaded a photograph as per the specifications mentioned, will my application be rejected?
Answer:
Yes, the application will be rejected.
Question: I have missed to take a print-out of my ONLINE application at the end of my application process. How will I get access to it?
Answer:
Candidates can login using GOAPS Enrollment ID and password and take a printout for your own reference.
