TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2018 - Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU) prescribes the TS EAMCET 2018 eligibility criteria for all the candidates planning to appear in the exam. The eligibility criteria of TS EAMCET 2018 includes certain parameters like nativity, educational qualification, age, pass percentage, category etc. on the basis of which candidates will be considered to appear in the entrance exam of TS EAMCET, otherwise not. The following parameters will be considered under the eligibility criteria of TS EAMCET 2018 :

Candidates must be of Indian Nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) or must be Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders.
Candidates should belong to the state of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
Candidates should satisfy local/ non-local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974.
Andhra University (A.U. area) includes Nagarjuna University area.
Sri Venkateswara University (S.V.U. area) includes Sri Krishnadevaraya University area.
Osmania University (O.U. area) includes Kakatiya University area.
Non Local areas:
Candidates not meeting the above criteria will be considered as non-locals.
Candidate belonging to PIO / OCI category will be considered as under non local category only.
A candidate will be regarded as a local candidate in relation to a local area (AU/ OU/ SVU) in the following cases:
If he or she has studied in an educational institution or institutions in such local area for a period of four or more consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he or she appeared or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be.
During the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years in which he or she appeared, or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination, he or she has not studied in any educational institutions, if he or she resided in that local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the relevant qualifying examination in which he/she appeared, or first appeared, as the case may be.
If he or she has studied in the educational institutions in the state for a period of not less than seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he or she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to
Local area where he or she studied for the maximum period out of period of seven years.
Where the period of his or her study in two or more local areas is equal, such local area where he/she studied last in such equal periods.
If during the whole or any part of the seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination, he/she has not studied in the educational institutions, in any local area, but has resided in the state during the whole of the said period of seven years, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to
Such local area where he/she has resided for the maximum period out of the said period of seven years.
Where the period of his/her residence in two or more local areas is equal such local area where he/she had resided last in such periods.
Candidates belonging to PIO/ OCI category will be considered as under non local category only.
Candidates coming under any of the categories given below will be treated as ‘Non-Local’ to all the three University areas specified above.
Candidates who have resided in the state of T.S./ A.P. for a total period of 10 years or more excluding the period of study outside this state.
Candidates either of whose parents has resided in this state for a total period of 10 years or more excluding the periods of employment outside the state
Candidates either of whose parents are employed in the State of T.S./ A.P. or Central Government Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi Government Institutions within this state, at the time of submitting the application.
Candidates who are spouses of those employed in the State of T.S./ A.P. or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi Government Institutions within this state, at the time of submitting the application.
Candidates must have passed or appeared in 10+2 or any equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology as optional subjects or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana or Andhra Pradesh. OR
Candidates must have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana or Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized equivalent to the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana or A.P.
For candidates applying for B.Tech in Food Technology, candidates must have passed or appeared in the final year of 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board as equivalent to the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana or Andhra Pradesh with any two or three of the subjects:
Biological or Natural Sciences
Qualifying exam marks
Candidates must have obtained minimum 45% marks in aggregate in the subjects mentioned above in 10+2 or any equivalent examination (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).
Candidates must have completed 16 years of age as on December 31, 2018. However, there is no upper age limit.
Candidates applying for admission to B.Tech in Dairy Technology, Agriculture Engineering and Food Technology must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2018 and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years for SC and ST candidates as on December 31, 2018.
