BITSAT Eligibility CriteriaBITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2018 – BITS Pilani determines the eligibility criteria of BITSAT 2018 for admissions to Integrated First Degree Programmes of Engineering across its 3 campuses at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. BITSAT 2018 eligibility criteria include eligibility requirements related to qualifying marks, age, qualifying examination, subject combination, total number of attempts, etc. Candidates are advised to carefully check all the eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance examination. It must be noted that candidates found ineligible on any of the following parameters during any stage of the entrance test or admission process will not be offered admission and their candidature will be cancelled. Every year, around 2 lakh candidates appear in BITSAT for admission to Integrated First Degree Engineering Programmes across the 3 campuses of BITS. BITSAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination (from any state or central board of school education)

  • They should have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.

  • Apart from the 75% aggregate marks, they should have scored 60% marks separately in each of the three subjects.

  • Proficiency in English is another requirement for appearing in BITSAT 2018.

  • Only those candidates, who have cleared/passed class 12th or qualifying examination in the year 2017 or are appearing in 2018 are eligible for appearing in BITSAT 2018.

  • Admission to Integrated First Degree Programmes of Engineering at the 3 campuses of BITS will be purely offered based on the merit list. The merit list of BITSAT will be prepared as per candidates’ score in BITSAT 2018. However, they also need to fulfil the qualifying eligibility criteria mentioned above to appear in BITSAT 2018.

  • If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, then in this case, only the latest performance will be taken into account. However, this attempt is required to be for the full component of subjects/courses as prescribed.

  • Candidates already/presently studying in any of 3 campuses of BITS are not eligible to sit for BITSAT 2018. 

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2018 for Top Rankers

 

BITS Pilani offers direct admission to central or state board top rankers or candidates with Rank 1 in India will be offered direct admission to the programmes of their choice, irrespective of their score/rank in BITSAT 2018. This means that they need not to appear in BITSAT 2018, however, they are required to meet all the other eligibility criteria related to qualifying examination, marks scores and subject combination, as mentioned above.

 

BITSAT Application Form 2018

 

Aspiring candidates can start filling the application form of BITSAT 2018 tentatively from the last week of December 2017, while the deadline for the application form of BITSAT 2018 will be in the second week of March 2018. Besides, filling the BITSAT 2018 application form and submitting it, the candidates also need to pay the application fee (details of which are mentioned below).
