MHT CET Application Form 2020 - The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra will release the application form of MHT CET 2020 tentatively from January 1 in online mode at cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates will have to submit the filled MHT CET 2020 application form tentatively before the second week of March. In case candidates miss to fill the form on time, they can fill the MHT CET application form with a late fee of Rs 500 till the third week of March. Before proceeding to fill the application form of MHT CET 2020, candidates will have to register by submitting all the requisite details. MHT CET registration can be done through two methods - Aadhaar and Non-Aadhaar. Around 4 lakh candidates register for MHT CET which is held annually for B.Tech admissions. Further in the process of filling out the MHT CET 2020 application form, candidates will be required to upload their scanned photograph and signature as specified pay the requisite fee as specified. Maharashtra State CET Cell will conduct MHT CET 2020 from April 13 to 17 and April 20 to 23, 2020 in three sessions per day. MHT CET result will be used to screen candidates for admissions to 1, 27,537 seats of undergraduate engineering courses at 342 institutes in Maharashtra.

How to fill MHT CET 2020 Application Form

Candidates will be able to fill the application of MHT CET 2020 tentatively from January 1 in online mode. To fill the MHT CET application form 2020, candidates will have to follow five steps as specified by the Maharashtra State CET Cell:

  1. Registration – Creation of Username and Password
  2. My Application – Filling up Application Form for MHT-CET 2020
  3. Upload of Photograph and Signature – Candidate must upload their recent Photograph and Signature in Online system
  4. Payment of Fees – Candidate can make payment of Fees using Online Payment mode or Offline (i.e Bank Challan Payment)
  5. Print the MHT CET application form

Step 1: MHT CET Registration 2020

The first step is to register through the official website. The official window for registration of MHT CET 2020 will look like the image below:

For New user, candidates will have to click on ‘Registration (For new candidates) tab.

On clicking on ‘Registration (For new candidates)’ tab, a pop-up message will be displayed which will contain important information for filling form. Read all instructions carefully and click on ‘OK’ button to proceed further.

Now there are two methods to register for MHT CET 2020 - Aadhaar and Non Aadhaar .

Aadhaar Based MHT CET 2020 Registration

Candidates who have an Aadhaar number can use this method to fill the MHT CET 2020 application form. For this method of registration, the candidates will have to click on the Aadhaar button and choose either OTP or biometric to validate their details:

1. OTP (It will be sent on the registered mobile No)- Candidates must click on the OTP option to receive the one time password. They must fill it in and verify their details.

2. Biometric - Candidates whose mobiles are not linked to their Aadhaar are advised to use this method to fill the application form of MHT CET 2020. Candidate can visit nearby facilitation centre to validate their Aadhaar number. After authentication is complete, the verified details will be displayed in the MHT CET registration form.

After Aadhaar authentication, the following steps need to be taken to complete the first step of MHT CET application form 2020 -

  • Candidates must fill in all the requisite details like email id, mobile number and name. Information such as Aadhaar number, date of birth, gender, address, state etc will be auto filled in the application form of MHT CET 2020.
  • Enter Captcha, preferred Username and password (ensure that password contains – one special character, one alphabet and one number and it should have minimum 8 characters).
  • Confirm entered password and click on the ‘Register’ button. Confirmation message will be displayed on the screen.

Non Aadhaar MHT CET Registration 2020

When candidates click on the ‘Non Aadhaar’ option, the following information will have to be filled:

  • Email id, mobile number

  • Candidate’s name

  • Candidate mother’s name

  • Date of birth

  • Select gender

  • Address

  • Select state, district, Taluka

  • Enter pincode

  • Enter captcha

Enter username and password (Ensure that the password contains – one special character, one alphabet and one number and it should have minimum 8 characters). Confirm Password and click on the ‘Register’ button. The registration confirmation message will be displayed on the screen.

Step 2: Filling of MHT CET 2020 Application Form

Visit the MHT CET login page. Enter username and password and click on the ‘Sign in to Account’ button.

To fill the application form of MHT CET 2020, click on the ‘My Application’ tab. Below be screen will be displayed and click on the ‘Proceed’ button.

The next screen will display the important instructions to fill the MHT CET 2020 application form, details of Fees etc.
A confirmation message will be displayed, click on the ‘OK’ button to proceed. After clicking on the ‘OK’ button, MHT CET application form 2020 will be displayed. Personal and Aadhaar details will populate automatically in the application form. However, candidates will have to fill in the following details in the MHT CET 2020 application form:

  • Permanent and Correspondence Address (If both addresses are the same, then tick the checkbox stating ‘Your correspondence Address same as permanent address’, if it is not the same then candidates MUST enter the address details in the correspondence address fields)

  • Other details panel - nationality, domicile certificate, category of the candidate, religion, Disability, if any, Candidate’s account details that will be used by State CET Cell.

  • Qualifying exam details - Passed SSC/CBSE/ICSE/IB/IGCSE From India, 10th/SSC details, 12th/HSC details

  • MHT CET 2020 exam preference - subjects, language, faculties, district preferences

Step 3: Upload Photo and Signature

The next step in the application process of MHT CET 2020 is to upload scanned images photograph and signature in prescribed format. For uploading the photo and signature, the candidates need to click on ‘Upload your Photo/Sign’ button.

Step 4: Payment of MHT CET Application Fee

The next step in the application process is payment of the MHT CET 2020 application fee. The following screen shows the details regarding how to pay the fee.

Methods to Pay MHT CET Application Form Fee

  1. Challan - Candidates must take the print of challan and pay the fee in bank.
  2. Online mode - They must pay the fees by using the through credit/debit card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), IMPS, Netbanking, Cash cards/mobile wallets.

On successful payment of the MHT CET 2020 application fee, take a print out of Payment Receipt by clicking on ‘Print Receipt’ Button.

Step 5: Take a printout of the MHT CET 2020 application form

Finally, the candidates will have to download and print out the application form of MHT CET 2020. The candidates are advised to save a copy of their filled in application form for future reference.

MHT CET Application Form 2020 - Important Guidelines

  • The email id and mobile number entered in the application form of MHT CET 2020 for validation will be treated as primary contact details and all communications will be sent to the same.
  • Candidates must fill and submit only one application for MHT CET 2020.
  • There is no need to send the MHT CET 2020 application form by post/courier. If any are sent, they will be rejected.
  • Every candidate will be permitted to submit his/her application only once. If he /she wishes to submit a new one, they should cancel the previous application before filling the new one. The fees paid for the same will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • Incomplete application forms will be rejected. So candidates must complete the application process.

MHT CET Application Correction 2020

There is no facility to correct the MHT CET application form 2020. However, candidates will be able to cancel their application and fill a fresh one to correct their mistakes. The process to cancel MHT CET 2020 application form is given below:

Steps to cancel MHT CET application form 2020

  • Visit the official portal of MHT CET 2020 and login using valid credentials.

  • Go to the application tab menu and click on ‘Cancel Application’ button.

  • Upon clicking on the cancel application button a pop up menu will appear where candidates will be required to enter their registered mobile number.

  • An OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number. Candidates will have to enter the OTP received along with the cancellation remark.

  • Click on the ‘Proceed’ button to cancel the application.

Students can fill a fresh application form of MHT CET 2020 again with correct details. The process is the same as given above on this page. Students must note that their application fee will not be refunded if they cancel their MHT CET 2020 application form.

How to recover password/username?

In case candidates forget their MHT CET username or password, they can retrieve them back through the official portal of MAHA CET.

Steps to retrieve password in MHT CET 2020 application form?

In order to retrieve password, candidates will have to follow the given below steps:

  • Enter Username, displayed CAPTCHA

  • Enter OTP sent to registered mobile

  • Generate New password by submitting new combination of letters and special characters.

  • Confirm password

  • Click on ‘Submit’ to successfully change the Password

How to retrieve User Name of MHT CET?

  • Enter Candidate’s First name followed by mobile number

  • Enter Candidate’s D.O.B (DD/MM/YYYY)

  • Submit displayed CAPTCHA

  • The User name will be sent to the registered mobile

MHT CET 2020 Exam Centres

Candidates filling the MHT CET application form 2020 will also have to select their exam centre in order of their preference while filling the form. Based on their communication address and the district chosen, the exam centre of MHT CET 2020 will be allotted to the candidates. There are a total of 166 exam centres across 36 districts of Maharashtra where MHT CET 2020 will be conducted. What after MHT CET 2020 application form?

After the application process is over, the authorities will release the MHT CET 2020 admit card for successfully registered candidates tentatively by the last week of March. MHT CET hall ticket 2020 is a mandatory document that every candidate must carry on the day of the exam. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without the admit card. Therefore, they must carefully download the admit card and carry the same to the exam center.

Yes. you can give MHT-CET, but Outside Maharashtra candidate will not be eligible for Govt. or Govt. aided colleges.
