List of Government-funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) - Candidates who have qualified the JEE Main 2017 are eligible to take admission in the 20 Government-funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). There are 3919 seats for the undergraduate engineering programmes in the list of 20 Government-funded Technical Institutes. Candidates will be offered admission to the 20 GFTIs on the basis of the All India Rank secured by them in JEE Main. The JEE Main rank will be determined on the basis of the scores of JEE Main along with the normalised score of class 12 and the ratio would be 60:40. The GFTIs have to participate in the joint seat allocation procedure conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam. The objective to provide the list of the GFTIs is to help the candidates make informed decision while they are applying for admission to different B.Tech programmes that are being offered at these institutes.  The number of seats that are offered in each of the GFTIs is different for each institute.
