Maharashtra M.Tech Counselling 2018

Maharashtra M.Tech CounsellingMaharashtra M.Tech Counselling 2018 – Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra has released the provisional seat allotment of Maharashtra M.Tech 2018 for Cap Round III on August 10; the allotment result is released institute-wise seat. The Maharashtra M.Tech 2018 seat allotment results for Round I and II were released on July 26 and August 3 respectively. Registrations for Maharashtra M.Tech 2018 counselling is closed now. The candidates had to fill and submit the application form till July 18 to participate in the counselling of Maharashtra M.Tech 2018. After registration, the candidates had to fill their choices of colleges and courses according to their preference. Allotment of seats will be done on the basis of GATE scores secured by the candidates and preferences submitted for Maharashtra M.Tech Admission. The final merit list for Maharashtra M.Tech counselling 2018 was published on July 22, 2018. DTE will conduct four rounds of Maharashtra M.Tech 2018 counselling. Maharashtra M.Tech Counselling 2018

 

The counselling of Maharashtra M.Tech 2018 provides admissions to eligible candidates into the participating engineering institutes. Allotment is being done according to the performance of the candidates in GATE.

 

Maharashtra M.Tech 2018 Counselling Procedure

The candidates can follow the listed steps to smoothly go through the counselling of Maharashtra M.Tech 2018:

 

Step 1 – Registration

The candidates will firstly have to register to participate in Maharashtra M.Tech counselling 2018. The application form of Maharashtra M.Tech 2018 are now available from July 11 to July 18, 2018. The candidates will have to submit all of their details and pay the required fees. One of the print out of the filled application form has to be submitted at the Facilitation Centres.

 

Step 2 – Declaration of Merit List

Directorate of Maharashtra released the provisional merit list of Maharashtra M.Tech Admission 2018 on July 19. The merit list consisted of the names of those candidates who are eligible for admissions through the counselling of Maharashtra M.Tech 2018. Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in GATE examination. Candidates were allowed to register any complaints they might have against the merit list.

After reviewing all of the complaints received, the final merit list was published on July 22 by the admission authorities.

 

Step 3 – Choice Filling and Locking

Next, the candidates had to start filling their preferred choices of colleges and courses. To start the choice filling process, the candidates will have to log into their account by submitting their individual log-in IDs to fill their preferred choices. After confirming their choices, no changes can be made. A minimum of 1 and maximum of 300 institutes and courses can be selected by the candidates. It is advised that as many choices should be filled for allotment. The candidates will have to take a print out of the filled choices for future use.

 

Step 4 – Seat Allotment 

Allotment of the candidates is being done according to the candidates’ performance in GATE and their selection of preferred courses and colleges. The provisional allotment lists for CAP Round I and II have been published in online mode on July 26 and August 3 respectively. The selected candidates will have to log in to their account and select their decision for admission from the given options:

  • Freezing – This option is selected if the candidate is satisfied with his/her allotted seat and wants to confirm their admission.

  • Sliding – The candidate will have to select this option if the candidate accepts the allotted seat but is open for admission into a higher preferred course in the same institute during subsequent rounds of counselling.

  • Floating – Candidates will have to choose this option if the candidate accepts the allotted seat but is open for admission into a higher preferred course in any institute during subsequent rounds of counselling.

Those candidates who wish to confirm their admission will have to download their provisional allotment letter which will be available after the candidates log into their account. It must be noted that no separate allotment letter will be sent to the candidate.

Four rounds of Centralized Admission Procedure (CAP) will be conducted for Maharashtra M.Tech Counselling 2018. The process for all the four rounds will remain the same. However, for the fourth round, the candidates will be able to fill or edit the online option form. The eligibility conditions for the fourth round of Maharashtra M.Tech 2018 counselling are:

  • The candidate should not have been allotted in the previous rounds. Those who did not do the choice filling in the first round will also be eligible.

  • Candidates who were allotted seats but did not accept them will be eligible.

  • Candidates who did not report at their admission reporting centre will be eligible.

  • Those candidates who have selected the freezing option but now wish to change to sliding or floating will also be eligible for the fourth round.

Step 5 – Reporting at Admission Reporting Centre

Candidates who have accepted their allotted seats will have to report at their reporting centre for confirmation of admission. If the candidates fail to report within the allotted time, then their allotment will be cancelled.
