Maharashtra M.Tech Counselling 2019 - DTE, Maharashtra has released the provisional seat allotment released for CAP round 3. Students can check their seat allotment status by login to their candidate portal using Application ID and date of birth. The Maharashtra M.Tech 2019 counselling final merit list was released on July 18. Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra is conducting the counselling of Maharashtra M.Tech 2019 to provide admissions into the participating institutes. Registrations for Maharashtra M.Tech counselling 2019 was open till July 11. Allotment of candidates will be done as per the scores secured in GATE. Along with the scores, the preferences selected by the candidates will also be considered by the authorities. Around four rounds of Maharashtra M.Tech 2019 counselling will be held by the authorities. Options of willingness will be provided to the candidates. Maharashtra M.Tech 2019 Counselling Procedure
The counselling of Maharashtra M.Tech 2019 is being conducted by the authorities to provide admissions into the participating institutes. The following steps can be taken by the candidates to participate in the counselling process:
Step 1 - Registration: In the first step, the candidates had to register for Maharashtra M.Tech counselling 2019. Required personal, academic and communication details had to be submitted by the candidates. The fee also had to be paid by the candidates. After submitting the filled application form, the candidates also had to submit a print out at the Facilitation Centres.
Step 2 - Announcement of Merit List: The candidates can check the final merit list in online mode. Through the list, the candidates can check the names of those candidates who have qualified for the counselling process. Candidates were also able to submit their complaints regarding the provisional merit list, which was released on July 14, at the facilitation centres. The authorities have released the final merit list after reviewing all of the grievances.
Step 3 - Filling of Choices and Locking: Preferred choices of courses and colleges has to be selected by the authorities. For the choice filling process, the candidates will have to log into their account using the required credentials. It has to be noted that the selection has to be done as per the preference of the candidates and they are also advised to select as many choices as possible. A print out of the filled choices has to be taken out.
Step 4 - Allotment of Seat: The authorities have released the third result of seat allotment in online mode. To check the seat allotment, the candidates will have to log into their account using the required credentials.No separate allotment letter is sent to the candidates. Allotment of seats is done according to the candidate’s secured score in GATE 2019, category, preferences selected and availability of seat. The allotted candidates will have to select their preferred option out of the given:
Freezing: If the candidate is satisfied with his/her allotted seat, then this option has to be selected for admission confirmation.
Sliding: If the candidate wants to accept the allotted seat but is also open for allotment into higher preferred course in the same institute during the later rounds of counselling will have to select this option.
Floating: This option has to be selected if the candidate will accept the allotted seat but will be willing for admission into a higher preferred course in any institute at the next round of counselling.
The process for the first three rounds of Maharashtra M.Tech 2019 counselling remained the same. However, the eligibility conditions for the fourth round will be as given below:
The candidates should not have been allotted in the previous counselling rounds of Maharashtra M.Tech Admission 2019.
Candidates who did not do the choice filling in the first round will also be eligible.
Those candidates who were allotted but did not accept will be eligible
Candidates who did not report to the admission reporting centre will be eligible for the fourth round of counselling.
Those candidates who select the freezing option but wish to change to sliding or floating will also be eligible for the fourth round.
Step 5 - Reporting to Admission Reporting Centre: Finally the allotted candidates will have to report to their respective admission reporting centre for admission confirmation. Failure to report to the allotted institute within the specified time will lead to the cancellation of admission.
