Since you already got Mechatronics at Acharya in round 1, ECE chances in round 3 are very slim unless in lesser preferred colleges.

With a 27,500 rank in COMEDK 2025, getting top branches like CSE, AIML, or ECE in tier-1 colleges (RV, BMS, MSRIT, PES) is unlikely. However, you can target tier-2/3 colleges where you may get branches like Mechanical, Civil, EEE, Biotechnology, or sometimes IT/ECE in lower-demand institutes. Colleges you can realistically expect include Dayananda Sagar, CMRIT, Acharya Institute, New Horizon, and East Point. If flexible with branch/college, you will find good options.

If you don't get a seat in round 1 and 2 and then get alloted in round 3 but choose not to accept it you won't be penalized,but you won't be able to participate in the round 4 either. Basically, Skipping the seat means you exit the councelling process and lose the chance for further rounds.

Yes, there will be a Round 2 in COMEDK for General Merit  students as well, not just for KKR students. Round 2 is usually conducted in multiple phases where GM candidates can participate depending on their eligibility and seat availability.

If you apply for withdrawal in Round 2, the fee refund timeline depends on when you submit the withdrawal request. Generally, COMEDK starts processing refunds a few weeks after the withdrawal window closes, and it may take around 2 to 4 weeks for the refund to reflect in your account. Sorry, but you can't do that. If you opted for "accept & upgrade" in the previous round, it means you are obligated to join the allotted college. If you are allotted in round 3, you have to get admission to this college. It's mandatory for you to get admission to this college.

If you accepted your Round 1 GM seat with “Accept & Upgrade,” you can go for Round 2 or 3. But if you don’t get a better seat in Round 3, you must join the one allotted then. No further upgrades or withdrawals are allowed after Round 3, as per COMEDK rules.

If you accept the seat in Round 1 and choose the "Accept and Upgrade" option, you're eligible for upgradation in Round 2. If you again choose "Accept and Upgrade" in Round 2, you will be eligible for Round 3 upgradation.

However, if you don’t get a better option in Round 3, then you’ll have to join the seat allotted in the last round where you accepted.

You cannot go back to previous rounds or upgrade again after Round 3.

So, yes — joining the last accepted seat becomes compulsory if no upgrade is received further.
