GATE 2026 Cutoff Importance

Candidates can check the cutoff for GATE 2026 on this page. GATE cutoff 2026 will be available for EC, CS, MA, DA, PH, CH, MN and all other papers. It is important to note that two types of cutoffs will be released for the GATE exam: the qualifying GATE 2026 cutoff and the admission cutoff for GATE 2026. The differences between the qualifying and admission cutoff marks of GATE 2026 are specified below.

Difference Between GATE Qualifying and Admission Cutoff

Students appearing in GATE must know the difference between the GATE qualifying cutoff 2026 and the GATE 2026 admission cutoff. GATE qualifying marks are the minimum cutoff to qualify for the entrance test to be eligible for the admission process. The qualifying marks of GATE 2026 will vary for each category. On the other hand, the GATE admission cutoff will be released by COAP and CCMT. Candidates who rank in GATE more than the admission cutoff will be offered admission.

  • GATE Qualifying Cutoff 2026: The GATE 2026 qualifying cutoff is the minimum mark required by the candidates to qualify for the GATE exam. Hence, candidates who clear the GATE 2026 qualifying cutoff will be eligible to participate in the GATE COAP 2026 counselling. GATE qualifying cutoff marks 2026, will be different for all 30 subjects. Qualifying GATE cut-off for IIT and NIT will also vary as per the different categories of candidates. The GATE qualifying cutoff is released by the conducting institute along with the declaration of the result.
  • GATE 2026 Admission Cutoff: GATE cutoff 2026 is the minimum qualifying score that candidates require to gain admission to the participating institutes. The cutoff score of GATE enables candidates to gain a seat in the desired institute. The admission cutoff of GATE 2026 will be released by the institute at the time of admission, for which admission is desired.
