CEETA PG Counselling Procedure 2026

Candidates who seek admission to any of the Anna University constituent colleges have to participate in the CEETA PG 2026 counselling. Candidates can choose to apply either based on GATE 2026 or based on the CEETA PG exam. Candidates who opt for admission through the CEETA-PG category need not apply for CEAP 2026. GATE-qualified candidates have to apply through the Common Engineering Admission Procedure (CEAP) window. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be eligible to participate in the CEETA PG counselling. The detailed step-by-step procedure for the counselling process is given below.

• Step 1: Online Registration - Candidates need to register to participate in the counselling process in online mode. They have to give their basic details like name, parents name, date of birth and educational qualification information.
• Step 2: Upload required documents - Candidates will have to upload the necessary documents as per the prescribed format. The documents include a scanned copy of their photograph, signature and other certificates.
• Step 3: Payment of Counselling Fee - Candidates will have to pay the counselling fee in online mode. Candidates can check the category-wise counselling fee from the following table.

• Step 4: Final Submission - After furnishing all the required information, uploading of documents and paying the application fees, click on the submit button to finish the registration process.

CEETA PG 2026 Counselling Documents Required

The following is the list of documents required to be uploaded while filling out the CEETA PG counselling 2026 application form.

• 10th & 12th class mark sheets and certificate

• Qualifying degree certificate and mark sheets

• CEETA PG hall ticket 2026

• Valid CEETA PG scorecard/GATE scorecard

• Transfer certificate from the college/institute last attended

• Nativity Certificate, if applicable (electronic form or digitally signed e-Certificate)

• Certificate of disability, if applicable

• Permanent Community Certificate - a card or electronic form / digitally signed e-Certificate in the case of BC Muslim, BC, MBC / DNC & SC / SC (Arunthathiyars) / ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu

• Copy of identification certificate received from the Tahsildar Head Quarters or Visa, Passport and letter registered in Police Station (For Srilankan Refugee candidates).

CEETA PG 2026 Merit List

Candidates who complete the CEETA PG counselling registration before the due date are eligible to participate in CEETA PG 2026 counselling and seat allotment. The exam authorities will prepare a merit list for all candidates who have registered for the CEETA PG counselling 2026. The merit list will be available separately for GATE & CEETA PG category candidates. Candidates whose name is mentioned in the merit list will have to download their counselling letter by logging in to the candidate portal.

CEETA PG Seat Allotment

The CEETA PG 2026 seat allotment will be done through the merit list based on the GATE/CEETA PG score. Anna University will allot the seats by considering the admission policies, choices chosen by the candidates and the candidates’ rank in the CEETA PG merit list. After submission of allotment options, the final allotment will be done based on inter-se-merit and the applicants' allotment options. The final allotment details will then be published in the respective login of the applicants in the online counselling portal. Allotted candidates can download the provisional allotment order from the same portal from their respective login.

Reporting to Allotted Institute

Students who will be allotted a seat through CEETA PG counselling 2026 were required to report to the allotted institute. Candidates have to report to the institute, failing which their admission will be cancelled. Students should carry all the required documents while reporting to the allotted college/institute. They have to carry all original documents along with the Xerox copies.
