GATE 2026 Cutoff for IITs: The Institutes will release the GATE cutoff 2026 for IITs on the official website. The IIT M.Tech cutoff will be available after each round of counselling. Candidates who meet the GATE cutoff for IITs 2026 will have higher chances of admission. The cutoff of GATE for IIT will be available as both the minimum and maximum score. Candidates whose score on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is more or equal to the cutoff score will be considered for admission to the M.Tech program offered at IITs. Additionally, candidates who pass the GATE exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14 & 15, 2026.

Candidates can refer to the previous year's GATE cutoff for IITs provided below to know the score ranges for admission. Admission to IITs for GATE 2026 will be conducted through the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (GATE 2026 COAP). Many factors related to the entrance exam will be taken into consideration by the authorities of IIT Kanpur while preparing the GATE cutoff for IITs. GATE 2026 does not have a centralized counselling process. The candidates will have to individually apply for admission at their preferred Indian Institute of Technology. While some IITs take direct admission based on GATE 2026 scores, some institutes will also conduct an additional entrance test or interview to review the candidate’s qualifications. GATE Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) is a common platform where the candidates will have to register for IIT admissions after applying individually. The candidates will be able to check the list of admission offers in one platform and accordingly select their preferences.
