IIT Madras M.Tech Admission 2019: The list of selected candidates of Round 4 for IIT Madras 2019 M.Tech admission has been released. Those candidates will have to make their decision by logging into their COAP account. The application form of IIT Madras M.Tech Admission 2019 was available in online mode till April 14. The admission authority of IIT Madras is conducting IIT Madras M.Tech admission for candidates who wish to pursue their master's degree from the institute. IIT Madras M.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2019
Candidates applying for admission had to refer to the eligibility criteria of IIT Madras M.Tech 2019 to know the criteria which must be met for admission. The admission authority have set some standards for candidates which must be fulfilled if one requires admission in desired course. Candidates applied and not meeting the IIT Madras M.Tech 2019 eligibility criteria will not be considered for admission. Candidates must have qualified GATE 2019 entrance examination or should have graduated from any IIT with a CGPA of 8.0. The eligibility criteria of IIT Madras M.Tech will be different for candidates applying through GATE and IIT graduate.
Candidates must have qualified GATE 2019 entrance examination and should hold a valid GATE score. IIT Madras released the application form of GATE 2019 on August 31 and were available until October 3rd.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture from institutions approved by AICTE/Government or a Master’s degree in Chemistry/Life Science/ Mathematics/ Physics related subjects from institutions approved by UGC/Government.
Or, candidates must have obtained their degrees through Distance education/ correspondence mode. Such candidates will have to attend suitability test or interview procedure.
Candidates currently in their final year of qualifying degree are also eligible to apply for admission if result are declared by July 15, 2019.
For IIT Graduates
Candidates applying for admission must have qualified B.Tech from any of the IITs.
Candidates must have secured a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on scale of 10. For reserved category candidates, minimum CGPA required is 7.5 on scale of 10. These candidates can apply without GATE score.

IIT Madras M.Tech 2019 Cutoff
The admission authority of the institute will prepare the cutoff of IIT Madras M.Tech 2019 for candidates who are willing to take admission in desired programme. IIT Madras M.Tech 2019 cutoff is the minimum marks which a candidate must secure in order to be eligible for admission process. Candidates who have not secured minimum cutoff marks will not be considered for admission process. To know the detailed information regarding cutoff of IIT Madras M.Tech 2019, candidates can refer to GATE cutoff for IIT Madras.
Candidates are being allotted seats on the basis of GATE score in the form of merit list prepared by admission authority. Candidate’s preferred choices will be taken into consideration while allotting seat in any programmes offered by the institute. Institute will conduct additional rounds of admissions tentatively in fourth week of July in case any seat are left vacant. Candidates who are unable to secure admission in first, second or subsequent round will be considered for the additional round.
Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to present their degree when they report at the institute. If candidates are unable to report at the institute for admission process, his/her candidature will stand as cancelled. Candidates are then required to pay the Institute fee through online mode. And, in case, candidates wishes to withdraw then processing fee of Rs. 1000 will be retained by the institute.

Hostellers will be required to pay an additional Rs. 25,650 to the Chairman, Council of Wardens at the time of admission through either Net Banking or Debit or Credit Card.

So analyse the topics and syllabus that you have learnt for the past 3 years and practise as much Mathematics as you can. Try as many mock tests as possible and get a hang of the exam pattern. The tentative dates to make corrections to your Category would be from the last week of October to 1st week of November. This is tentative and so please keep an eye on the official website. Dear Pramod, IIT Delhi has closed registrations for GATE 2020 as on October 5th, 2019 along with late fees. Now the correction window has been opened. At this juncture, registering for GATE 2020 is not a possibility. You may have to wait until the next year if you plan on appearing for GATE. For GATE 2020, you have been late.
