    GATE 2027 Application Form LIVE: Registration begins tomorrow; check dates, eligibility, fees and exam pattern

    GATE 2027 candidates must upload a clear, recent colour passport-size photograph meeting the specified size, background, facial visibility, resolution and file-size requirements. The same photograph will appear on the admit card and scorecard. Applications with photographs that do not meet the guidelines may be rejected, and the fee will not be refunded.

    • Photo size: 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm
    • Format: JPEG/JPG
    • Background: White, with no objects or other people
    • Face coverage: 60–70% of the image after cropping
    • Aspect ratio: Minimum 0.66; maximum 0.89
    • Resolution: 200 × 260 pixels to 530 × 690 pixels
    • Maximum file size: 600 KB
    • Face position: Front-facing, looking directly at the camera
    • Face visibility: Forehead, eyes, nose and chin must be clearly visible
    • Glasses: Normal spectacles allowed; no glare
    • Head coverings: Not allowed except for religious reasons, with facial features clearly visible

    Step 4: Application Fee - Pay the Sastra M.Tech application fee of Rs 650 through the modes explained below:

    • Through Demand Draft (DD): To pay the Sastra M.Tech application fee through DD, candidates have to enter the DD number, issuing bank, drawn bank, and the date on which the DD is issued. The DD of Rs. 650 should be drawn in favour of SASTRA payable at Thanjavur.

    • Online Payment: Candidates can pay the application fee online using Internet banking, debit card or credit card.

    • Cash Payment: Candidates can also pay the application fee in cash at the office of Sastra University
