Sastra M.Tech Admission 2019 - Sastra Deemed to be University has released the application form for Sastra M.Tech 2019 admission on April 14. Application form of Sastra M.Tech Admission 2019 are available in both online and offline mode till June 14. Candidates can fill and submit the application of Sastra M.Tech 2019 in both online and offline mode. Sastra M.Tech 2019 admission will be held for admission to 15 postgraduate engineering programmes. The admission to Sastra’s M.Tech programmes will be based on the overall percentage of marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying UG/PG degree. However, GATE qualified candidates will be given preference while allotting seats. Not only this, GATE qualified candidates will be also considered for a stipend worth Rs. 5000 per month. Shortlisted candidates will be notified about the Sastra M.Tech 2019 counselling through email where they will receive their allotment letter. Candidates will have to attend the counselling in person where they have to appear for online test. Steps to Fill Sastra M.Tech 2019 Application Form
1. Get register- To register, candidates will have to enter details like:
Date of Birth (DoB)
Mobile number and email id
Campus applying for (Thanjavur (Main Campus) or SRC Kumbakonam)
Course applied for

2. Filling of application form- On successful registration, the candidate will have to log-in by using newly generated user id and password to fill the application form. The following sections have to be filled in Sastra M.Tech application form 2019:
Personal Info: Few details filled at the time of registration will be visible in read-only mode. In addition there will be other fields like communication address, occupation of the father and mother, their income and more has to be entered by the candidate.
Course choices and qualification details: The candidate has to pick the choice of courses in the order of preference; a maximum of three options can be entered.
Competitive exam details: Enter GATE 2019 registration number, marks out of 100, and qualifying marks
Upload scanned documents: Candidates will have to upload their photographs and GATE score card in prescribed format and dimension.
Application fee payment: Candidates will have to pay Rs 650 as the application fee of Sastra M.Tech admission 2019. The fee can be paid in following mode:

Payment through Demand Draft (DD): The candidate has to enter the DD number, issuing bank, drawn bank, and date on which the DD is issued. Please note that the DD of Rs. 650 should be drawn in favour of SASTRA payable at Thanjavur.

4. Submit the application form
Once all the above steps are performed, candidates will have to submit the application form. If candidates will opt for offline payment, the candidate will need to send printout of the completed application form along with the DD to:

How to Get Offline Application Form of Sastra M.Tech 2019?
Candidates will be able to get offline application form in person on payment of Rs. 600 from following places or it can also be downloaded from the official website.

Sastra Deemed to be University will release the merit list of Sastra M.Tech 2019 after evaluating all applications on June 14 (9:00 PM). In order to prepare Sastra M.Tech 2019 merit list, marks obtained UG/PG degree and GATE 2019 ranks will be considered. However, authority will release a separate merit list for GATE qualified candidates. Candidates with GATE 2019 scores will be given preference and ranked higher.
The cutoff of Sastra M.Tech 2019 will be a minimum score that candidates will require to score to be eligible for the admission. If the candidates are ranked below the cutoff, they will not be considered for admission of Sastra M.Tech 2019. While preparing the cutoff various factors like number of candidates applying for admission, total available seats and more are taken into consideration.
Sastra M.Tech 2019 counselling will be conducted on June 20 in offline mode. Candidates who will be shortlisted to participate in counselling of Sastra M.Tech 2019 will be send a call letter at their registered email-id. Candidates will have to download the counselling call letter and appear for the process in person at the notified venue. Further, candidates will have to qualify the online test that will be conducted on the same day of Sastra M.Tech 2019 counselling at Thanjavur Campur at TIFAC. Therefore, candidates who will clear the online test will appear for the Sastra M.Tech counselling 2019 on the same day.
The online test will be held for 2 hours where candidates will be asked to attempt two sections- General Aptitude and Technical Section. One hour will be given to complete each section. The question paper of online test will contain multiple choice questions (MCQs). In case of incorrect response, no negative marking will be done.
Moreover, candidates will be expected to choose the 'disciple' from the list for the technical section relating to their qualifying degree. Also, for the technical section, calculators will be allowed. In order to prepare for the online test, candidates can refer to the syllabus by clicking here.
On clearing online test, candidates will undergo document verification process. If all the documents of candidates are verified they will be considered for seat allotment. Based on the merit and the number of seats available at that instance, candidates will be allotted seat during the counselling of Sastra M.Tech 2019 admission . Candidates ranked higher in the Sastra M.Tech 2019 merit list will have more chance to get the course of their choice than lower ranked candidates.
