Sastra M.Tech Admission 2018 - Sastra Deemed will be conducting counselling for M.Tech admission 2018 from June 8. Shortlisted candidates will be notified about the Sastra M.Tech 2018 counselling through email. Shortlisted candidates will have to attend the counselling in person where they have to appear for online test. Candidates need to be present in person for Sastra M.Tech 2018 counselling and bring along all relevant documents with them; document verification is an important part of the counselling process. University has released the application form of Sastra M.Tech admission 2018 on March 25, in both online and offline modes; the last date to submit completed application form is June 9. Sastra M.Tech admission process will be conducted for admission to 15 M.Tech programmes. Sastra M.Tech Admission admission will be based on the overall percentage of marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying UG/PG degree. Candidates with GATE qualification, however, will be given preference, and also will be considered for a stipend worth Rs. 5000 per month. Sastra M.Tech Counselling 2018
Sastra M.Tech 2018 counselling will be conducted from June 8. Candidates who are shortlisted for admission will be sent call letters to attend the counselling session through email. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear in person to participate in counselling of Sastra M.Tech 2018. Such candidates will have to appear for the online test being conducted on June 8 in the Thanjavur Campur at TIFAC. The online test will be for 2 hours where candidates will have to attempt two sections- General Aptitude and Technical Section. One hour will be given for each section to complete the examination. Candidates are expected to choose the 'disciple' from the list for the technical section relating to their qualifying degree. The online test will contain multiple choice questions. Also, there will be no negative marking in case of the incorrect answer. For the technical section, calculators will be permitted.

Candidates who will clear the online test will have to appear for the Sastra M.Tech counselling 2018 on the same day. The Sastra M.Tech 2018 counselling will include a document verification process, and candidates who pass this stage will only be considered for seat allotment. Allotment of seat during the counselling of Sastra M.Tech admission 2018 will purely based on merit and the number of seats available at that instance. Candidates ranked higher in the Sastra M.Tech 2018 merit list are more likely to get the course of their choice than lower ranked candidates.

Sastra M.Tech Application Form 2018
The application form of Sastra M.Tech 2018 can be filled in both online and offline modes. The steps to fill the Sastra M.Tech application form in online mode have been mentioned below:

1. Registration: To register for the Sastra M.Tech admission 2018, the candidate has to enter the following details:
Name of the candidate
Date of Birth
Mobile number and email id
The campus applying for admission (there are two options - a. Main Campus (Thanjavur) and b. SRC Kumbakonam)
Course applied for admission (M.Tech in this case)
The candidate will also have to enter the security code displayed on screen.
2. Filling of Sastra M.Tech application form
Upon successful registration, the candidate has to next fill the form. The application form will have the following sections:
Personal Details: Some details, like those entered by the candidate at the time of registration would be visible in read-only mode. In addition there will be other fields the candidate has to fill in. These details pertain to personal information, address of communication, and other details like occupation of the father and mother and their income.
Course choices and qualification details: The candidate has to pick the choice of courses in the order of preference; a maximum of three options can be entered. The candidate also has to enter his/her GATE registration number, marks out of 100, and qualifying marks - General. The candidate has to finally enter qualifying exam details.
Payment details: Candidates have to upload their photographs and GATE score card in this step. After uploading the documents, the candidate can proceed to online fee payment
Application fee of Sastra M.Tech Admission 2018: The application fee is Rs. 650.
Mode of fee payment: The fee can be paid through any of the three modes.
Payment through Demand Draft: The candidate has to enter the DD number, issuing bank, drawn bank, and date on which the DD is issued. Please note that the DD of Rs. 650 should be drawn in favour of SASTRA payable at Thanjavur.
Online Payment can be made using net banking, debit or credit cards.
Cash Payment has to be paid at the office of Sastra University
3. Submission of the application form
After completing the Sastra M.Tech 2018 application form in all respects, the candidate has to submit it. If the payment has been made through DD, the candidate will need to send printout of the completed application form along with the DD to:

Sastra M.Tech Merit List 2018
Sastra Deemed to be University will release the merit list of Sastra M.Tech 2018 after evaluating all applications that it has received. For preparing the Sastra M.Tech 2018 merit list, the admission authority will consider the marks obtained by the candidate in UG/PG degree and also GATE 2018 ranks; candidates with GATE scores will be given preference and ranked higher. Candidates can expect the Sastra M.Tech 2018 merit list around last week of June.
Sastra M.Tech Cutoff 2018
The admission conducting authority will determine the cutoff of Sastra M.Tech 2018, which is the minimum score that candidates need to be eligible for admission. Candidates ranked below the cutoff will not be considered for admission. The Sastra M.Tech 2018 cutoff will be prepared based on factors like number of candidates applying for admission and total available seats.
