It must be noted that no candidate will be eligible for final admission if he/she fails to satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria of IIT Roorkee M.Tech 2020. Candidates must have passed B.E/B.Tech in relevant fields.
Final year candidates are also eligible to apply provided they complete all the
requirements of their qualifying examination before the date of registration.
Candidates having AMIE/AMIS/AMIIChE/ AMIIM/Grad IETE, who possess B.Sc. or Diploma in engineering and have at least three years research, teaching or other professional experience at the submission of last date of application acquired in relevant field, are also eligible to
apply for admission to M.Tech. courses.
Qualifying Marks for General and OBC category Candidates
Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.00 on a 10 point scale in B.E/B.Tech or equivalent examination.
Qualifying Marks for SC/ST/PD category Candidates
Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks or CGPA of 5.50 on a 10 point scale in B.E/B.Tech or equivalent examination.
Basis of Admission
Candidates will be admitted on the basis of GATE scores and 10% of the total seats will be reserved for IIT graduates with a minimum CGPA of 8.00 on a 10 point scale.

Candidates were able to fill the application form of IIT Roorkee M.Tech in online mode till April 23. It should be noted that separate applications had to be filled for each category along with the application fee. Also, every candidate could fill only one application form and multiple application forms were rejected. However, candidates were allowed to apply maximum for 4 departments and were able to give prioritized preference for maximum of 13 academic programmes.

Candidates could refer to the following steps to fill the application form of IIT Roorkee M.Tech 2020.
Step 1: Registration - In the first step, candidates had to register online by entering basic details like email Id, mobile number, etc. After successful registration, candidates received a Registration ID and password to be used for the entire admission process.
Step 2: Filling of Application Form - After this, candidates had to login to the online portal with the Registration ID and password received during registration and fill all the required details of the form like personal, academic and communication details.
Step 3: Payment of Application Fee - Once all the details of the form were completed, candidates had to pay the application fees of IIT Roorkee M.Tech admission 2020 in online mode through debit/credit card or internet banking.

Step 4: Print out of Application form - Once the payment was completed, candidates had to download the completely filled application form and take a print out for future reference.
The authorities will prepare a merit list of candidates on the basis of normalized GATE scores of candidates and scores of IIT graduates. Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech programmes offered by IIT Roorkee have to register at GATE COAP 2020 portal. It is a portal for conducting centralized counselling for admission in pg programmes offered by all participating IITs. Candidates have to register to the portal and fill their choices of institutes. The result of the admission to various IITs will also be available at the COAP portal. Once a candidate is allotted any institute, he/she will have to report to the institute to confirm his/her admission.
Once the candidates are allotted IIT Roorkee through COAP portal, they have to register themselves personally on the date and time intimated to them. After registration, candidates will have to report to the concerned Head of the Department/Centre and submit the joining report along with the registration card and fee receipt. Candidates also have to bring all the required documents at the time of academic registration.

mainly jrf recruitment is done by ugc net score, however institute like iit kharagpur, iit kanpur has lots of research fellow recruitment comes for students who are recently pass b.tech course , have interest for research in new technologies, interested to do phd in future ,should apply for jrf positions. however there is no specific number of recruitment do not comes every year, it depends on the projects and funding for hiring of jrf, however by getting good score in gate you may go for m.tech course and may apply for psus job.
see you did not mention which branch you belongs to, however at this score you have less chances for top nits and other tier 1 institute in india, I suggest you to try for some other mtech entrance test like vitmee, bits hd, manipal university entrance test etc.

Candidates getting admission in dual degree through JEE Advanced need not to appear in GATE.And the cut off will not be the same for dual degree through JEE Advanced and M.tech through GATE.Considering previous year cut off trends it is difficult to get seat in IITs with such score.You need to score at least 600 or above to have decent chances of getting seat in a IIT.
