Candidates can check the qualifying marks for the GATE exam through the GATE cutoff. The cutoff is different for each course and category of candidates. Those who secured more marks than the GATE cutoff 2023 have been declared qualified. The GATE 2023 cutoff for CSE was 32.5 (GEN), for ECE was 29.9 (GEN) and for CE was (26.6). Applicants who appeared for the GATE exam
Candidates who meet the GATE cutoff are eligible to participate in the counselling process for admission to M.Tech courses. It is important to note that the GATE qualifying cutoff is different from the admission cutoff. Those who seek IIT admission have to register for the GATE COAP. For admission to NITs, IIEST Shibpur, and some IIITs and CFTIs, the authority conducts CCMT counselling.
The GATE cutoff is broadly divided into two parts- the qualifying cutoff and the admission cutoff. The qualifying cutoff is the minimum cutoff required for passing the GATE examination. The admission cutoffs are the minimum marks required for admission into a particular course and institute. Candidates can check the GATE cutoff 2023 for various courses and categories below.
