Gujarat PGCET Counselling 2019 - Admission Committee for Professional Courses, ACPC will conduct the Gujarat PGCET 2019 Counselling tentatively in last week of July for admission in M.E./M.Tech course. The allotment of seats through Gujarat PGCET Counseling is done on the basis of merit prepared from GATE/PGCET 2019 score. Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates and seats which remain vacant after admitting students through GATE will be filled through PGCET 2019. Students who will be applying for Gujarat PGCET Counselling 2019 either through GATE or PGCET 2019 have to compulsorily apply for Gujarat PGCET 2019 entrance exam but GATE candidates need not appear for it. The Gujarat PGCET 2019 registration will begin from last week of June 2019. Candidates have to register in online mode using a User ID and confidential PIN which will be available at select branches of Kotak Mahindra Bank across the state from second week of June. The information booklet containing all the details about Gujarat PGCET 2019 Counselling procedure, User ID and security PIN can be obtained by paying Rs.500 in cash at all the designated branches.
After the registration process, candidates need to visit the Gujarat PGCET Counselling 2019 help centres for document verification. Student must carry submitted application form of PGCET 2019 along with all the necessary documents for verification. Candidates will be issued a document verification slip and acknowledgment slip post document verification. Candidates have to fill the choices and lock them by logging into the Gujarat PGCET 2019 Counselling portal within the specified date and time. Two rounds of centralised Gujarat PGCET Counselling will be organised by ACPC for allotting seats to all the government, government aided and self financed colleges of Gujarat. Gujarat PGCET 2019 Counselling Eligibility Criteria : Students who want to take admission in M.Tech/M.E. in any of the Gujarat PGCET Counselling 2019 participating college should fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria
Must have passed the qualifying examination with an aggregate of 50% marks (45% for reserved category)
Must have qualified PGCET 2019/GATE with a valid score
Candidates who are applying for sponsored seat must have at least two years of relevant work experience along with valid GATE score.
Candidates who are applying through GATE must have qualified GATE either in year 2017, 2018 or 2019.
Reservation of seats : Certain number of seats are reserved for candidates who are native of Gujarat state and comes under reserved category. Students can find below the reservation criteria

Distribution of Seats : The ACPC will fill seats in all the participating colleges as per the below mentioned criteria
Total of 95% government seats in government/ govt aided and unaided colleges will be filled by candidates who have passed their qualifying degree and/or HSC from the state of Gujarat
Remaining 5% seats will be filled from candidates who have passed their qualifying degree and/or HSC from any university outside the state of Gujarat
Total of 10% management/NRI quota seats in unaided colleges will be filled by candidates who have passed their qualifying degree and/or HSC from the state of Gujarat
Gujarat PGCET 2019 Counselling Process : Students who are applying for admission through Gujarat PGCET Counselling 2019 can find below the detailed process
Step-1 Registration : All the candidates who want to participate in Gujarat PGCET Counselling 2019 need to register online using the User ID and 14 digit security PIN obtained from designated branches of Kotak Mahindra Bank. Registrations will begin from last week of June 2019 for admission to M.Tech/M.E. 2019-20 session. Candidates are advised to fill all the information carefully as wrong information can lead to cancellation of admission/registration.
Candidate who are applying for admission through GATE have to enter the details related to GATE score, year of qualification, subject for which applying to admission and subject in which appeared for GATE apart from basic details. Candidates who are applying through PGCET 2019 have to select the exam centre for appearing in PGCET 2019 exam. All candidates must change their password obtained from bank after filling the form and retain the user ID and changed password for further rounds of counselling. Students have to take two printouts of submitted application form and PGCET 2019 Hall Ticket obtained online after submitting the form for submitting at help centres.
Step-2 Document Verification : Candidates who have submitted the application form need to visit the Gujarat PGCET 2019 Counselling help centres for document verification. Students must carry printout of submitted application form along with all the documents and their xerox copies for verification. Students who are in the final year of their qualifying degree have to bring all mark sheets till the last semester/year for which they have appeared in exam. Students will be issued a document verification slip and acknowledgement letter post document verification. List of all the documents to be brought for verification is mentioned below

Certificate of Physical Disability, issued and duly signed by the Civil Surgeon/competent authority, in case of a Physically Handicapped candidate
Certificate of Ex-Serviceman from Sainik Welfare Board
A copy of certificate of In-Serviceman duly issued by the Commanding Officer of the respective unit in which she/he is serving,
Sponsorship letter and experience certificate issued by the sponsoring authority, in case of sponsored candidate
Step-3 Publication of Merit List : The admission committee will publish two merit list for admission, one for GATE qualified candidates and another for PGCET 2019 qualified candidates. A separate merit list will also be prepared for candidates of reserved category. Admission in all the participating institutes will be made on the basis of merit prepared through marks scored in GATE/PGCET 2019 exam. Merit list will be published after the declaration of PGCET result and before the round of choice filling.
Step-4 Mock round choice filling and result : ACPC will organize a mock round of counselling to make students familiar with the counselling procedure. Students need to fill their choices for mock round within the stipulated date and time. Seat allotment result of mock round of counselling will be announced after one week of choice filling. The whole purpose of mock counselling is to give students an idea about the counselling procedure. Seats allotted during mock round is not final and all students will be allotted final seats only after first and second round of counselling. Students have to fill their fresh choices or they can also go for counselling with choices already filled.
Step-5 Gujarat PGCET Counselling 2019 Choice Filling : All students have to login into the Gujarat PGCET Counselling 2019 choice filling portal using their user ID and password. Candidates will see a seat matrix with available choices of college and courses depending on their merit score and category. Candidates need to fill their choices in order of their preference and lock them before the last date. Students can modify or delete their choices before the last date of choice filling after which they will be locked if not done by students. Students are also advised to enter as many choices among the available ones which would eventually increase chances of getting a seat.
Step-6 Round one seat allotment result : The first round seat allotment result of Gujarat PGCET Counselling 2019 will be published in the website of ACPC. Candidates need to login into their account to see their allotment result. All those candidates who are allotted a seat have to download the information letter and pay the requisite fee for confirmation of seat. Fees for seat confirmation have to be paid either online or through bank challan by visiting the bank. The information about fee payment will be automatically updated in the counselling portal and student will be able to proceed to the next step which is reporting to the allotted institute.
Students who do did not get any seat or who want to participate in next round of counselling with or without accepting the first round allotted seat can update/modify their choices. Students can also cancel their allotted seat and participate in second round of counselling.
Step-7 Second round choice filling and seat allotment result : Candidates who have opted for second round of counselling have option of modifying their choices. They can add new choice or can also delete/modify any choice filled during the first round of counselling. All the students must fill their choices and lock them before the last date. The result of second round seat allotment will be published in the official website of ACPC. Students who will be allotted a seat after second round will have to download the information letter and pay the seat confirmation fees.
Step-8 Reporting to the Allotted Institute : Candidate who have been allotted a seat at any round of counselling will have to report at the allotted institute within specified date and time. Students must note that they have to report to the college within dates mentioned in information letter failing which their admission will get cancel.
Admission in NRI and Management Quota Seats : Admission through ACPC is offered in 100% of government/govt aided colleges and 75% of the unaided colleges. The remaining 25% seats in self financed colleges are reserved for NRI and management quota which are filled by colleges by whatever means they deem necessary. Seats of management quota will be offered to eligible candidates after the final round of PGCET Counselling through a transparent admission process conducted under the nodal officer nominated for admission.

Important Instruction to students : Students who would be appearing in Gujarat PGCET 2019 Counselling must adhere to below mentioned points in order to get admission
Students must procure the user ID and secret PIN for Gujarat PGCET Counselling 2019 registration from the designate branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank only.
Students must register for Gujarat PGCET 2019 Counselling within specified date and time.
Students must carry two printouts of submitted application form and PGCET 2019 Hall Ticket along with all the necessary documents in original and self attested xerox copies for document verification.
Candidate must fill the choices in order of preference before the last date of filling and locking the choices. Choices will be locked automatically after the last date if not done by students.
