Gujarat PGCET Counselling 2018

Gujarat PGCET CounsellingGujarat PGCET Counselling 2018 - Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will be commencing the Gujarat PGCET 2018 counselling tentatively from July 24, 2018. All of the candidates who will be listed out in the merit list will have to register for Gujarat PGCET counselling 2018 and fill their choices of colleges and courses. Two rounds of Gujarat PGCET 2018 counselling will be conducted by the authorities of ACPC. Before the two actual rounds, a mock round of seat allotment will be held from July 24 to July 27 so that the Gujarat PGCET candidates will be able to know the process. Result of allotment of seats will be released in online mode. The counselling of Gujarat PGCET 2018 provides admissions to eligible candidates into the participating institutes. Gujarat PGCET 2018 Counselling Procedure

 

There are certain steps that have to be followed by the candidates for the counselling session. The steps have been listed below:

  • Step 1 – Mock Round Counselling

  • Step 2 – Round 1 of Choice Filling

  • Step 3 – Round 1 Seat Allotment

  • Step 4 – Round 2 of Choice Filling

  • Step 5 – Round 2 Seat Allotment

  • Step 6 – Reporting to alloted institutes 

Step 1 – Mock Round Counselling

 

The mock round of Gujarat PGCET counselling 2018 will commence from July 24 to July 27. Through the mock round, the candidates will be able to familiarize themselves with the entire process.

  • Those candidates whose names will be present in the merit list released by the authorities will have to fill their choice of courses and colleges during the mock round counselling.

  • The candidates will be able to check the result of the mock counselling after logging into their account.

  • From the result of the mock counselling, the candidates will be able to get an idea about how the choice filling has to be done for the actual counselling round.

  • After the mock round, the candidates will be able to add/edit/modify their choices according to their decision. 

Step 2 – Round 1 of Choice Filling

 

The choice filling for the first round of Gujarat PGCET 2018 counselling will be held on July 27 and July 28. During this period, the candidates will be able to make any changes they want to in the options selected during the mock choice filling process.

  • The candidates will be required to make their choices of courses and colleges during this period.

  • During choice filling, the candidates will be able to select as many choices as possible. They could edit or change their choices anytime during the choice filling period if they do not lock it.

  • If the candidates did not lock their choices before the final date, then the final saved choices will be considered by the candidates 

Step 3 – Round 1 Seat Allotment

 

The result of round 1 Gujarat PGCET 2018 seat allotment will be announced on July 31.

  • To check the result of seat allotment of Gujarat PGCET 2018, the candidates will have to log in using their Login ID and password.

  • The allotted candidates who wish to confirm their allotted seats will have to deposit the token tuition fees to the designated bank branches or in online mode during the allotted time.

  • Candidates will also have the provision to cancel their Gujarat PGCET 2018 admission.

  • After the first round of allotment is done, the cutoff ranks and vacant seats will also be released.

Step 4 - Round 2 of Choice Filling

 

The second round of choice filling of Gujarat PGCET 2018 counselling for the vacant seats will be held in the first week of August after the display of the list of vacant seats after round 1 on August 3, 2018. Candidates can fill, alter and lock their choices from July 3 to July 4.

  • Registered candidates will be able to apply for upgradation during this round.

  • Reshuffling of choices can be done by the candidates.

  • Fresh choice filling will also be allowed in this round

  • The token tuition fee can be deposited by the candidates in the designated bank branches or through online payment. 

Step 5 – Round 2 Seat Allotment

 

Candidates will be able to check the result of Gujarat PGCET 2018 seat allotment round 2 on July 7.

  • By logging in using the Login ID and password, the candidates will be able to check their seat allotment result.

  • The allotted candidates will have to report at their respective institute after the conclusion of the second round of Gujarat PGCET 2018 counselling. 

Step 6 – Reporting to alloted institutes

 

Finally, the selected candidates will have to report to their allotted institutes along with their provisional allotment letter and complete the admission formalities before the final date. Failure to complete the admission formalities within the allotted time will lead to the disqualification of the candidate.

If I don't appear for gate and just appear for PGCET?

if I don't appear for GATE and just appear for PGCET than will the criteria still be according to merit of PGCET only or will it include GATE marks also.?
