As per experts and media reports, most of the GATE 2019 papers ranged between moderate to tough in terms of difficulty level. The two papers of CE was found to be easy in the general aptitude section while the technical section was of moderate difficulty. Candidates are suggested to go through the exam pattern of GATE 2019 before going through the analysis of the paper.
GATE 2019 was conducted in online mode.
IIT Madras conducted each paper of GATE 2019 for the duration of 3 hours. Moreover, each paper consisted of a total of 65 questions. The GATE 2019 paper consisted of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions.
Each paper of GATE 2019 carries total 100 marks.
Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every correct MCQs carrying 1 mark, while 1/3 mark will be deducted for incorrect answer. For 2 mark MCQs, 2/3 mark will be deducted for every wrong response. There is no negative marking for Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

GATE 2018 answer key will be released tentatively in the third week of February. With the release of answer key candidates can calculate their probable scores using GATE score predictor. GATE 2019 score predictor tool be developed by Careers360 team to predict candidates scores on the basis of the inputs they enter in the tool. The result of GATE 2019 for all 24 papers will be announced on March 16 by IIT Madras. So analyse the topics and syllabus that you have learnt for the past 3 years and practise as much Mathematics as you can. Try as many mock tests as possible and get a hang of the exam pattern. The tentative dates to make corrections to your Category would be from the last week of October to 1st week of November. This is tentative and so please keep an eye on the official website. Dear Pramod, IIT Delhi has closed registrations for GATE 2020 as on October 5th, 2019 along with late fees. Now the correction window has been opened. At this juncture, registering for GATE 2020 is not a possibility. You may have to wait until the next year if you plan on appearing for GATE. For GATE 2020, you have been late.
