  • GATE 2018 was held in online mode.

  • Each paper is for a duration of 3 hours wherein candidates will be answering a total of 65 questions.

  • A total 100 marks will be awarded to candidates in each paper of GATE 2018 against the 65 questions.

GATE 2018 Cutoff

 

While candidates get to know about the GATE through its analysis, it’s also important for them to know how much they need to score in GATE 2018 in order to secure a seat for M.Tech/M.E. admissions or a job in PSUs based on GATE scores. This is where GATE cutoff will help the candidates in knowing the required score/marks in GATE for admission. They can also check GATE Cutoff for IITs and the GATE Cutoff for NITs to know more. Candidates interested in recruitment at PSUs can also check the GATE cutoff for PSUs. The cutoff of GATE 2018 is the qualifying score/marks which candidates must secure in order to get a seat in M.Tech programmes across IITs/NITs and other institutions. The GATE conducting authority releases the cutoff of GATE as per the different categories. GATE 2018 cutoff is different for different categories and as per the different branches of engineering of the last year.

GATE 2018 answer key will tentatively be available in the third week of February 2018. Candidates can download the answer key of GATE 2018 for their respective paper and estimate their probable score after comparing their answers with the answer key.

 

Candidates can also use the GATE Score Predictor to predict their scores. GATE Score Predictor is a creative yet simple tool which predicts candidates scores on the basis of the inputs they enter in the tool. To use the tool, candidates have to log in using their FB or Google account.

 

IIT Guwahati will announce the result of GATE 2018 for all 23 papers on March 17. Candidates have to log in to GOAPS and enter their GATE 2018 Registration ID, Enrolment No and date of birth to download their scorecard. However, only those candidates will be able to download GATE 2018 scorecard who would qualify in the exam. Through GATE 2018 result, the candidates will be able to check their scores, qualifying marks and All India Ranks.
