Hi,

For admission to the College of Engineering, Pune (COEP), your JEE Main Paper 1 score is crucial as it is one of the primary criteria for B.Tech admissions. However, if you have a strong score in Paper 2 (B.Arch), it won't directly impact your B.Tech admission. COEP primarily considers JEE Main Paper 1 scores for B.Tech admission

That said, having a good score in Paper 2 can still be beneficial if you decide to apply for B.Arch programs at other institutions or if you're considering a career in architecture.

Hello aspirant,

Students can focus more on key chapters that are tested if they are aware of the JEE Main 2025 chapter-by-chapter weighting. It helps them to focus on the most important topics before the exams to score good marks.

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-syllabus-weightage

Thank you

The thing is that, NEET or JEE is ultimately your choice. You should go for the options you find intriguing or interesting as a career path and where does your skill, aptitude and interest lie. And if you want a career path in medical field but not doctor you can always explore Biotechnology, Medical administration, Medical Writing and Journalism, Research or Teaching.

All the very best!

If you're good at Biology but not interested in pursuing MBBS, NEET might not be the best option for you. Instead, JEE could be a better choice, especially if you're interested in engineering fields like Computer Science, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. Since you're average at math, it might require extra effort, but JEE offers a broader range of career opportunities in engineering. Consider exploring various engineering disciplines and choose based on your interests and strengths.

To achieve a 99.9 percentile in JEE Mains for SC (Scheduled Caste) category, the marks required may vary slightly each year depending on the difficulty level of the exam and the number of candidates appearing. However, based on previous years' trends:

  • Marks Range : For an SC candidate, scoring between 150–170 marks is typically sufficient to secure a 99.9 percentile .

This range can fluctuate based on:

  • The overall difficulty of the exam.
  • The number of candidates from the SC category appearing.

For more accurate data, check the official JEE Mains percentile-to-marks conversion after the exam or refer to the official NTA JEE Mains results .
