Candidates are required to log in using their application number and password.
The JEE Main answer key shall contain the question ID as well as the ID with a correct option for both papers 1 and 2.
In case of some error, candidates can challenge the question by selecting one or more IDs.
Now click on ‘Save your claim’ and click on Next.
Question ID so challenged shall appear on the screen.
Candidates are required with the necessary documents in support of their claim.
They have to upload the same in pdf form and click on the ‘Choose file’ button shown on the screen.
The next step requires candidates to pay the processing fee of Rs 200 for each question thus objected against. Payment can be done through credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
Candidates may note that the processing fee is a refundable amount and candidates whose claims turn out to be relevant and thus accepted by the authorities get the processing fee refunded. Also, no claim shall be considered for candidates who raised objections without paying the respective processing fee.
Students will be able to calculate the probable score using the answer key of JEE Main 2026. As it is well known through the JEE Main exam pattern that there is negative marking for the exam and correct answers bring certainly marks, the table below reflects the marking scheme to be referred to:

* It may be noted that the calculated score is repeatedly being termed as probable because the authorities may cancel any question or even change the correct response in the JEE Main 2026 answer key.
