The authority has released the eligibility criteria for UP BTech admission 2026 online. Candidates need to check the information brochure to know the UP BTech admission 2026 eligibility criteria. Application Process of UP BTech Admission 2026

Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling commenced the UP BTech admission 2026 registration online on May 25. The eligible candidates can register for UP BTech 2026 admission in online mode. UP BTech 2026 application process consist of registration, form filling, uploading of required documents, and application fee payment. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to fill out the application form for BTech admission 2026.

• Step 1: Candidates have to fill out the registration form of UP BTech using a unique Email ID and Mobile No.

• Step 2: Fill out the application form by entering the required details, and after submission of the application form, the application number will be generated. Note down the application number for future reference.

• Step 3: Upload the scanned documents in a specified format, such as a Photograph and a signature, for PwD candidates (Medical Certificate).

• Step 4: Pay the application fee for UP BTech using the online mode. Candidates can pay the fees using HDFC Bank/SBI/Paytm Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI.

• Download, save, and print copies of the confirmation page after successful payment for future reference.

The authorities will open the portal for UP BTech application correction on the official website. Candidates who have made any errors in the application form will be able to edit their application for UP BTech for a specific period. No candidates will be allowed to change their application number, applicant name, parent's name, or date of birth. UP BTech 2026 Reservation of Seats

UP B.Tech Merit List 2026

The authority releases the UP BTech merit list for all categories online. The merit list is prepared based on JEE Main score. Candidates having their names on the UP BTech merit list will be considered for admission. Moreover, the authorities will follow the tie-breaking procedure if two candidates score equal marks in the merit list.

• Login using credentials.

• Click on the “Submit” tab.

• Download the UP BTech merit list and save it for future reference.

UP B.Tech Tie-Breaking Procedure

• In case of the same scores, the applications with less negative marking will be given preference.

• In case ties persist, the candidates having more aggregate marks in the Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry sections of Paper 1 together will be given preference.

• If the tie is still not broken, the older candidates will be given preference.

UP BTech Counselling 2026

UPTAC has issued the UP BTech 2026 counselling notification online on the official website, uptac.admissions.nic.in. Candidates who qualify for the JEE Main exam are eligible to participate in the UPTAC counselling process. The counselling will be held in 5 rounds and 2 special rounds. Follow the process below to participate in the counselling process of UP BTech:

• Visit the official website and register for counselling.

• After registration, upload the required documents and pay the counselling fee of Rs 1000.

• After registration, the candidates' documents will be verified online, and SMS/e-mail will be sent to the candidate as a receipt.

• Once the document verification is completed, candidates need to log in to the counselling portal and fill in their preferred choices of colleges and courses based on their eligibility and preference.

• Based on the choices filled by the candidates, the seat allotment process takes place. Seats are allotted to the candidates according to their merit, category, and availability of seats.

• After the seat allotment, candidates have to confirm their allocated seat by paying the required fees and reporting to the allotted institute within the given time.

• If the candidate is not satisfied, then they can choose freeze/float/withdrawal options.

• The authorities will conduct a special round of counselling for those remaining vacant after the initial rounds of counselling.

• Candidates who have confirmed their seats must report to the allotted institute as per the schedule.

The authority will announce the UP BTech 2026 seat allotment online. The aspirants are allotted seats based on their performance in the JEE Main exam, seat availability, and choices filled by the applicants. Candidates can check their allotment results on the official website using their login credentials.
