WBJEE Counselling 2018 - West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board has announced the result Mop-up round seat allotment of WBJEE 2018 on July 17. The registration for WBJEE 2018 mop-up counselling was started on July 13 onwards. Candidates could register for Mop-up round of WBJEE 2018 in online mode. Candidates who have participated in the mop-up round could check the seat matrix released by the authorities on July 11. The Mop-up round of WBJEE 2018 was conducted after the completion of three rounds of e-counselling for the candidates who have registered for the process earlier. The authorities had announced the allotment round - 3 result of WBJEE 2018. Candidates could make payment of provisional admission fee and report to RCs for document verification (for new allotments only), withdrawal etc till July 7. The admission process through WBJEE 2018 was closed on July 7. The e-counselling of WBJEE 2018 has started from June 9 onwards. To participate in the counselling of WBJEE 2018, candidates had to register themselves, pay the counselling fee and fill their choices of courses and colleges in online mode. Last date to register was June 15. The e-counselling of WBJEE 2018 will be held in three rounds. What candidates need to be aware of is that online registration for the WBJEE counselling will be allowed only once. During registration, candidates had to choose if they wish to participate in the WBJEE 2018 counselling on the basis of the JEE Main ranks, WBJEE 2018 ranks or both. During the counselling session, candidates will be allotted seats in online mode on the basis of their WBJEE Ranks and choice filling. They have to report to the helpline centres to get their documents verified after seat allotment. Candidates were able to check the mock counselling centres from May 28 to June 2, 2018 (11 AM to 5 PM). WBJEE 2018 Counselling Procedure
After the result declaration, the next step was the WBJEE counselling 2018. The counselling of WBJEE 2018 was conducted in online mode for which candidates had to register themselves. After the publication of WBJEE result 2018, a separate notification with details of e-counselling/ seat allotment and admission was published on the portal. Apart from this, course-wise and institute wise availability of seats as provided by the competent authorities have been published before counselling and allotment for the reference of the candidates. Mentioned below are the steps that candidate will have to follow during WBJEE 2018 counselling. Candidates appearing for the WBJEE 2018 are suggested to go through it thoroughly.
Step 1: Online Registration
The qualified candidates had to register for the WBJEE counselling session. To register, candidates had to follow the mentioned below steps-

Select ‘New Registration’ option to register afresh. Candidates could opt for the registration through either through WBJEE, JEE Main or even both.
Candidates who opted for WBJEE 2018 had to enter their WBJEE 2018 application number, roll number, name and date of birth. Please note that all the information must match to the info given in the WBJEE admit card.
Candidates who opted for JEE Main 2018 had to enter their JEE Main application number, roll number, name and date of birth as per their JEE Main Score card.
If a candidate goes for both the channels, he/she had to enter the details of both JEE Main and WBJEE.
After entering the above details, the candidate had to fill the details asked in the application form.
Click on the ‘submit’ button to register yourself successfully.
Note: Candidates, while entering the details must make sure that they enter all the required information correctly and check twice before completing the registration process. This is because, once the registration was done, candidates were not able to make any changes to details like category, PwD status, TFW status, state of domicile, gender, religion etc. Also, registrations for WBJEE counselling 2018 were allowed just once that is at the beginning of the first round.
Step 2- WBJEE 2018 Counselling Fee Payment
After the registration was done successfully, candidate need to download the e-challan to pay the WBJEE 2018 counselling fees of Rs. 500. Candidates were able to make the payment either through debit/credit card or even net banking.
Note: The WBJEE 2018 counselling fee is non-refundable.
Step 3: Choice Filling and Locking
The next step in WBJEE counselling 2018 was to fill the choice and lock it. In this step, candidates had to select the courses and institutes as per their preference. Candidates were able to fill as many choices as they want and lock their choice. These locked choices had to be printed out for future use.
Key Points to Remember While Choice Filling
While filling the choice during the WBJEE counselling 2018, candidates need to make sure that they make the correct selection as the selected preference was taken into consideration while allotting seats.
Candidates were advised to fill as much choices as they can, as there is no restriction for it.
Before filling their choices, candidates were advised to check the WBJEE cutoff to know their chances of admission at the participating institutes.
Once choices were locked, candidates were not allowed to make any changes.
Candidates must take a print out of the selected choices after confirming them.
Step 4: WBJEEE 2018 Seat Allotment
Candidates will be allotted a seat in the participating institutions as per their merit and the choice of courses and institutes by them. The seat allotment is being done online based on the candidate’s rank in WBJEE 2018, preference and availability of seats. Candidates had to login by using their credential to check their allotment. They should then pay the fees specified below
Note: Individual allotment letters will not be sent to the candidates.
Step 4 – Document Verification
The candidates had to verify their documents and pay the fees at the reporting centre as described below. The list of reporting centres will be given here after the WBJEE Board announces the same.

Step 6- Reporting to allotted institute
After the verification is done, candidate will be given the provisional seat allotment letter issued by the RC. Candidates are advised to sign an undertaking stating that their earlier seat allotment will stand cancelled if they are allotted a seat of higher preference in the second or third round. Thereafter candidates have to report to the allotted institute if they are satisfied with their seat by the notified dates. They must notify the admission authorities at the institute with their necessary documents. Candidates must carry both original and photocopies of the documents to the institutes.
