How to Calculate Marks Using JEE Main Answer Key 2026? - Candidates can use the JEE Main 2026 answer key to estimate their scores in the JEE Main 2026 exam. To calculate marks using the answer key, candidates must be familiar with the JEE Main 2026 marking scheme. The JEE Main 2026 answer key has been released on February 4, 2026. Along with the answer key, the authority also uploaded the JEE response sheet. The JEE Main final answer key will be released soon. Since NTA does not publish raw marks in the JEE Main result, candidates can use the data in this article to derive marks. The NTA JEE Main 2026 exam was held from January 21 to 29. The final answer key of JEE Main 2026 will be released only after the challenges are settled. There is a possibility that the answer key will be revised due to the objections. Hence, the JEE Main result 2026 will be released based on the final answer key only. NTA will declare the JEE Main 2026 results by February 12.

Before calculating the marks, candidates need to download the answer key and response sheet. Here are the steps to download the JEE Main answer key 2026 to calculate the marks.
Go to the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in
Click on the link for JEE Main answer key 2026 provided under the ‘Candidate Activity’ section.
It will lead to the login page.
Enter login details, application number and password.
Click on the View Answer Key/challenge tab in the candidate portal
The JEE Main answer key will be displayed

Open the JEE Mains answer key in one tab
Keep the JEE response sheet 2026 open as well.
Note down the number of correct and incorrect answers.
Refer to the JEE Main marking scheme.
Assign 4 marks for each correct answer.
Deduct 1 mark for every wrong answer.
The final sum will be total marks in JEE Main 2026.
