I got 82percentical in jee main. can i got government college?

Rishikesh Shandilya 21st Jan, 2020

With your percentile of 82 your expected rank according to this percentile can be calculated by the formula,
(100- your percentile)*896010/100

and you expected rank is coming about 161281 .
With this rank you will not get any NITs,IITs or GFTIS. You can go for state level engineering colleges whose counselling is done with JEE Main rank.Exact college with you preference of branch is different to find out,Based on your state and quota applicable you can check for colleges with college predictor, click on the link below.
Try to score better in April session exam.

Hope this helps you.

hey, rank for 96.7846 percentile in jee mains

Devraj choudhary Student Expert 21st Jan, 2020

Your rank can be calculated by this formula

(100-96.7846)*8.69 lakh/100 it willbearound 28k. But remember that if the number of students increases in april session than your rank will change accordingly.  Just replace 8.69 lakh with the total number of students appeared in april session.

Hope it helps

In Jee mains 2020 i have scored 92.49 percentail can i get an nit seat ?

Sudarshan kumar 21st Jan, 2020

Hi Vivek,

For NITyou should score 95+ percentile.Whether you get a seat or not is totally depends upon your category.

If you belongs from General category then its very difficult for you to get any seat in NITs.

If you belongs from OBC or SC or ST category then you may get a seat in NITs .But not in top NITs because for that you have to score 98+percentile.

In lower category NITs also you will not get top branches like CSE or EEE or ECE you will get branches like biochemical, architecture, pharma etc.

Hope this will help you, please  feel free to ask if you have any other queries.

Thank You.

I got 90.037 in jee mains .what is the rank and computer science college can be opted?

Ruchika Chauhan Expert 21st Jan, 2020

It is difficult to calculate the exact rank. However, expected rank can be calculated using the formula mentioned below-

100 - your total percentile score is the percentage  of people ahead of you.

869010 are the number of candidates appeared for Jan exam. So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 869010 /100.

According to your percentile, your expected rank would be around 86579.

However, If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100

Kindly mention your home state and category then we can tell you better about your chances of admission in colleges. Also, you can use the JEE Main COllege Predictor Tool to check your admission chances based on your percentile, home state, category
