Questions related to JEE Main
I am get 81.7 percentile in jee main jan2020 what is my cutt off ?
There are two kinds of cut off one is category specific cut off and second one is institute specific cut off. Category specific cut off is a cut off specified for each category and institute specific cut off is a cut off specified by each institute to get admission in that particular institute this cut off is different for each branch and varies from one institute to another. If you score the cut marks specified for each category by NTA then you will qualify and will be eligible to get admission in NITs and participating institutes. Cut off is determined after the JEE Main exam is concluded, we cannot predict the cut off now. In 2019 the cut off was as follows for each category
- General: 89.75
- EWS: 78.21
- SC: 54.01
- PWD: 0.113
Cut off changes every year, the above cut off was given so that you will get an idea about cut off. JEE Main 2020 cut off is yet to be announced. Based on your percentile your expected rank will be around 159028 It can be calculated by the formula (100-your percentile)*869010/100
869010=total number of candidates appeared in JEE Main January session.
my score in jee mains is180 maths 78,physics 65 and chemistry 37 what woukld be my percentile in each subjects and what would be my percentile as a whole??
With 180 marks your percentile will be around 98.6-99. Telling individual subjects percentile will be sort of difficult task and for that you will have to wait for results.
Also since percentile depends on the toughness of the paper, and the batch of the examination you belong to so wait for the official results..
How will jee cut off calculate
The authorities will prepare jee mains cutoff for top B.Tech branches after considering various factors related to JEE mains such as number of applicants, difficulty level, previous years’ cutoff trends and more.

I hope it helps you.
my son got 95.8 percentile in jee mains exams in Ewc catagere. He may getting computer science in any NIT?
Their may be slight chance in Northeast NITs in Special Rounds with ews category.Getting CSE with this percentile would be a little difficult, or if you want your desired branch then you would have to compromise with the college.
Hope that helps;
What will the expected marks vs rank ratio for JEE Mains September 2020
The marks vs rank/percentile ratio will more or less remain the same as previous years as in my opinion these sort of breaks do not help everyone.
For a good NITs with better branch you will require atleast 180 marks if general category.
