The authority will conduct the JEE Main 2026 exam between January 21 to 30 (session 1) and April 2 to 9 (session 2). The JEE Main 2026 registration has commenced on October 31, 2025, and the last date to apply is November 27, 2025. Also, the authority has advised aspirants to get their Aadhaar, UDID, and category certificates (if any) updated before the release of the JEE Main application form. In an official statement, the NTA explained that the calculator option seen on the exam platform is part of the generic CBT software interface used for multiple exams and does not apply to JEE Main. The agency expressed regret for the typographic error and any confusion caused to candidates.

The authority has released the JEE Main notification 2026 eligibility criteria on the official website, jee main.nta.nic.in. All those who have cleared the class 12th / equivalent in 2024/ 2025 or are taking the exam in 2026 will be able to appear in the exam without any age limit. As per JEE Mains eligibility criteria, aspirants should have passed the 10 exam from a recognised Central/State Board.

After successful registration, log in to your account.
Complete the application form and pay the application fee.

Candidates will have to provide the following mandatory details when filling out the JEE Main 2026 application form.
A valid email address and mobile number for receiving messages from NTA.
Only the Class 10 certificate needs to be uploaded; both Class 10 certificates are required for reference, but not for uploading.
Aadhaar card with updated details.
A clear scanned copy of a recent photograph and signature.
Updated OBC-NCL/EWS candidates must provide the certificate's category number, issue date, and the issuing authority's name (uploading the certificate is not necessary).
PwD/PwBD candidates must upload a scanned copy of the relevant certificate updated with recent information.
Prepare details for fee payment through net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI.
NTA has issued the JEE Main 2026 exam pattern notification on the official website. According to the revised pattern of the previous year, Section B of each subject will no longer offer choices; candidates must attempt all 5 number questions. A selection A contains 20 multiple choice questions (MCQs) per subject, and Section B includes 10 number questions, with all 5 being compulsory. The JEE Main 2026 question paper will consist of three subjects: physics, chemistry and mathematics, with 25 questions per subject, totalling 75 questions.

Hi,
For admission in the CBIT, JNTUH, or VNR VJET AIML branch, you will need to score around 96-68% in JEE Mains with your EWS category and BCE certificate. For CBIT and VNR VJET, cutoff goes to around 97-98% while in JNTUH, you might need slightly higher marks, around 98-99%.

For JEE Main 2026, calculators will not be allowed in the exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that no physical or virtual calculator will be provided. Earlier, there was confusion because of a typing mistake in the information bulletin, but NTA has now clearly said that students have to do all the calculations manually during the exam.
The calculator ban in JEE Main 2026 will test aspirants’ mental arithmetic and manual calculation skills, making speed and accuracy entirely dependent on practice. Regular solving of numerical problems without a calculator will be key to maintaining efficiency during the exam.
