Kerala M.Tech Counselling 2026 - The DTE, Kerala, has changed the release of the Kerala M.Tech 2026 draft rank list to July 9, 2026. The rank list will be published on the official website, dtekerala.gov.in, and will be prepared based on valid GATE scores and other eligible qualifications such as AMIE/AMIETE. Kerala M.Tech counselling 2026 will be conducted online. The counselling process comprises registration, choice filling, release of merit list, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted institutes. The authority will conduct three rounds of Kerala M.Tech counselling. Step 1: Kerala M.Tech Registration: Online registration and filling of the detailed application form is required for Kerala M.Tech Counselling. The information provided during registration should be accurate. After applying, candidates need to pay the application fee and send a copy of the filled application form along with self-attested copies of all necessary documents to the specified address.

Step 2: Publication of Kerala M.Tech Merit List: DTE, Kerala will release the final merit list for Kerala M.Tech Counselling 2026 in July 2026. The draft merit list will be published first, followed by the final one. The draft list is meant to help students understand their rank and verify their category, branch and choices. In case of a tie between two or more candidates, preference will be given to students with a higher percentage of marks up to the 6th semester. Seats will be filled with students of Kerala origin based on marks up to the 6th semester if there are fewer GATE-qualified candidates.

Step 3: Kerala M.Tech Seat Allotment 2026: The selection committee of DTE Kerala will allot seats to candidates based on their rank, category and choices filled. Kerala M.Tech 2026 seat allotment has been published on the official website. Candidates who are allotted a seat will have to download their Kerala M.Tech seat allotment letter from the official website. Students who are not allotted any seat in the 1st round can modify their options or go for the second round of Kerala M.Tech seat allotment with the same choices. The result of the second round of Kerala M.Tech 2026 seat allotment will also be published on the website of DTE, Kerala.
Step 4: Payment of Seat Acceptance Fees: Candidates who are allotted seats through Kerala M.Tech Counselling 2026 have to pay ‘seat acceptance fees’ within the stipulated period at any State Bank of India branch. The fees paid by candidates will be transferred to the college whose seat is allotted. Candidates who do not get a seat or do not accept the seat and want to take part in the second round of the seat allotment process do not need to pay any fee. Those who will be allotted a seat after the second round of seat allotment will have to deposit the fees.
In case there are any vacant seats after the two rounds of the Kerala M.Tech seat allotment, the authorities will conduct a spot admission round. Only those candidates who have made it to the merit list will be eligible to participate in the Kerala M.Tech spot admission round. The seats will be allotted through centralized counselling in order of merit. Candidates who have already been admitted to any institute during round one or two of the seat allotment process must produce a “No Objection Certificate” to take part in the spot admission round.
