After completing the application process, candidates needed to take a printout of the form and send it along with essential documents to the Principal, College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram. DTE Kerala has released the final rank list on July 7. Based on the rank and preference candidates will be called to participate in Kerala M.Tech counselling 2018. GATE qualified candidates only will be considered for seat allotment of Kerala M.Tech 2018, other than sponsored candidates. The counselling of Kerala M.Tech 2018 includes steps like submission of application form, checking merit/rank list, reporting to the institute for seat allotment and document verification. However if any seats remain vacant and there are no more valid GATE candidates, such seats will be offered to non-GATE candidates belonging to Kerala. Kerala M.Tech 2018 Counselling Procedure


The application process for Kerala M.Tech admission 2018 has commence on June 1. Candidates who wants to participate in counselling of Kerala M.Tech 2018 have to follow given below steps:

  • Submit the application form

  • Payment of counselling fee
  • Check the merit list of Kerala M.Tech 2018

  • Participate in counselling and seat allotment procedure of Kerala M.Tech admission 2018

  • Document Verification

Steps to Follow for Kerala M.Tech Counselling 2018


Step-1 Filling and submitting of application form

DTE Kerala has released the application form in online mode on June 1. Candidates need to fill their personal, academic, qualifying exam and communication details in Kerala M.Tech application form 2018 and submit it by June 16. While filling the application form candidates need to make sure that they fill their choices in order of their preference. Also, along with the application form candidates need to pay the fees which will be transferred to the College where the candidate will be allotted seat. The candidate next needs to take a printout of the completed Kerala M.Tech 2018 application form and send it along with self-attested copies of relevant documents to the followinng address:

The last date for receipt of printed application form is June 19.


Step-2 Submission of Application Fee

After online submission of the application, the application fee of Rs. 500 (Rs. 100 in case of SC/ST candidates) have to be remitted in any SBI branch.


Step-3 Check Merit/Rank List

The Kerala M.Tech 2018 merit list will be prepared based on the GATE scores. A darft list will be released first, which will be followed by a final rank list. Once the rank list of Kerala M.Tech is prepared, candidates need to check their names and ranks in it and download it in PDF format.


Step-4 Counselling and seat allotment procedure

  • Candidates will be invited for Kerala M.Tech 2018 counselling based on the rank allotted in merit list.

  • The counselling of Kerala M.Tech 2018 will be held in two rounds. A spot round will be held only if there are vacant seats left. The schedule for spot round will be announced later.

  • During the counselling procedure, seat allotment of Kerala M.Tech 2018 will be done.

Spot Round Admission

A centralized spot round will be held for vacant seats. All candidates listed in rank list are eligible to participate in the spot round.


If there are vacant seats left even after the spot round, such seats will be filled through spot rounds conducted by respective participating institutes. 


Step 5- Document Verification

Mentioned below are the documents that candidates need to produce at the time of verification

  • GATE admit card

  • GATE score card

  • Class XII marksheet and passing certificate

  • Class X marksheet and passing certificate

  • B.Tech/ B.E. marksheet

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • Medical certificate (in case of PwD candidates)

  • Domicile certificate (in case of Kerala candidates)

Procedure of Fee Refunding

FEE will be refunded only to those candidates who will leave the college on cancellation of admission on or before closing date of admission. The refund of fee will only take place after the closing of admission for the year. Candidates will not paid any interest.
