For students preparing for these programs, it's important to be aware that entrance exams—both national and state-level—evaluate knowledge in core subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
Joint Entrance Examination Mains (JEE Mains): The national level computer based exam is conducted for admission to B.E/B.Tech/B.Planning and B.Arch courses. The JEE Main consists of two papers: JEE Main Paper 1 is for admission to B.E/B. Tech programs at NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, and JEE Main Paper 2 is for B.Arch and B.Planning courses of various institutes accepting JEE Main scores. The JEE Advanced exam will be taken by the top 2,50,000 rank holders in the JEE Main 2024 rank list.
Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced): The JEE Advanced is a crucial test for admission to B.E/B. Tech, Integrated Master’s, and Dual Degree programs at top institutions. This exam is coordinated by seven Zonal IITs: IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee.
SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE): The SRMJEE is a university-level online exam for admission to B.Tech courses at SRMIST campuses. It covers Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics based on the 10+2 syllabus.
