JAC Chandigarh B.Tech CounsellingJAC Chandigarh B.Tech Counselling 2018 -Choice filling for round 2 of the B.Tech counselling of JAC Chandigarh has started from July 17. Candidates can fill and lock the choices for the second round of JAC Chandigarh B.Tech Counselling 2018 till July 19 (upto 5 pm). The result of seat allotment of JAC Chandigarh 2018 for round 2 will be declared in online mode on July 20. The seat allotment of first round of the B.Tech counselling of JAC Chandigarh was released on July 12. Candidates can fill the choices for JAC Chandigarh 2018 B.Tech counselling for round-2 by log-in into their account. To log-in candidates need to enter their counselling board, roll number, password and the security pin. Registration for JAC Chandigarh B.Tech 2018 counselling were closed on June 30. Candidates will be considered for JAC Chandigarh B.Tech 2018 seat allotment based on their JEE Main 2018 rank.. There will be four rounds of counselling, including spot round. JAC Chandigarh B.Tech 2018 Counselling Procedure

The admission authorities is conducting counselling for JAC Chandigard B.Tech 2018 in the online mode, JAC Chandigarh B.Tech 2018 Counselling is being conducted across four rounds, i.e. three normal rounds namely first, second and third followed by last round of counselling, called the SPOT round. All the registered candidates can participate in the spot round regardless of whether they have participated in previous rounds or not. JAC Chandigarh B.Tech admission 2018 will be based on the choices candidates choose at the time of choice filling during counselling session. Mentioned below is the detailed procedure of JAC Chandigarh B.Tech Counselling 2018 for the candidate’s reference:

  • Online registration

  • Registration fee payment

  • Document Verification

  • Online choice filling

  • Mock counselling

  • Choice locking and printing of locked choices

Step 1- Online Registration

All the qualified candidates had to fill online Registration form by following mentioned below steps-

  • Click on the given link given above. Candidates can also visit http://www.chdenggadmissions.nic.in and fill the registration form.

  • Log-in by entering the JEE Main 2018 roll number and password created during JEE Main  registration. After candidates successfully log-in, then system will ask for change in password.

  • After successful log-in, details filled at the time of JEE Main 2018 registration were displayed on the page in read only mode. Candidates were required to complete the additional details like - place of the school from where he/she has appeared for the qualifying exam, reservations benefits under various categories etc.

  • After entering all the details as required submit the registration form and pay one time registration fee.

Step 2- Registration fee payment

Once candidates had succesfully fill the online registration form for JAC Chandigarh B.Tech Counselling 2018, they had to pay the registration fee which was non-refundable. Candidates could pay registration fee for JAC Chandigarh B.Tech 2018 Counselling either through debit/credit card, internet banking or e-Challan.

Step 3- Document Verification

After completion of online registration process, candidates belonging to mentioned below categories will have to physically report at Panjab University, Chandigarh at scheduled time and date for document verification.

  • Backward Class (BC)

  • Persons with Disability (PwD)

  • Freedom Fighter

  • Kashmiri Migrant/Displaced Persons

  • Terrorist/Riot Victim

  • One Girl Child out of the only two girl children

  • Cancer patient

  • AIDS patient

  • Thalassemia patient

  • Economically Weaker Section

  • Rural area

  • Border area

  • Defence

Note: Candidates belonging to main category (General/SC/ST) who want to avail the benefit of any one or more of the above mentioned categories will also have to report in person for document verification.

Mentioned below are the mandatory documents that all the candidates have to bring along a set of photocopies, irrespective of their category.

  • Electronic Payment Gateway (EPG) receipt

  • Result card of JEE Main 2018

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • Marks Sheet of class 12th and 10th

  • Class X Certificate for Date of birth.

  • Character Certificate from the last attended institute

  • Migration/Transfer Certificate

Apart from the above mentioned one, candidates will have to bring below documents according to the category they belong and institute they are applying for.

Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes

Candidates will have to bring the Caste certificate in original along with two photocopies of the same. The certificate should be issued by any one of the authorities mentioned below:

  • District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/ Collector/Deputy Commissioner/ Additional Deputy Commissioner/ Deputy Collector/ 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate/Step 4- Online Choice Filling Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant Commissioner.

  • Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate.

  • Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.

  • Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or his/her family normally resides.

  • Administrator/ Secretary to Administrator/ Development Officer (Lakshadweep Islands)

Note: If certificate is issued by other than one of the authorities mentioned above, notification of Government must be included.

Caste certificate issued by the Tehsildar/Magistrate/SDO (civil) 1st Class/Deputy Commissioner of the area to which the candidate actually belongs. Along with the original document, candidate will also have to bring two set of photocopies of the same.

 

Note: If certificate is issued by other than one of the authorities mentioned above, notification of Government must be included.

Persons with Disability (PwD)

Certificate to be produce where it is shown that candidate have a minimum of 40% disability. The certificate should be duly certified by the Medical Board of District/State/UT/Medical Institution of National importance.

Candidates need to produce a certificate of their permanent physical disability from a Civil Surgeon of a District/Director/Principal or a Professor of a Medical College affiliated to University or an institution of national importance.

Backward Class (BC)

Have to produce original caste certificate issued by Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Executive Magistrate, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, Block Officer and District Revenue Officer.

Self attested photocopies of sports certificates with photograph duly attested by the respective issuing authority or Head of the Institution of last attended along with their originals.

Undertaking of sports achievements and attendance in sports grounds both in original.

 

Roster form/list of players/competitors of the concerned tournament duly attested by the respective issuing authority or Head of Institution last attended.

Affidavit in original duly attested by a Magistrate class I/II on stamp paper of Rs 5/- or above along with original sports certificates. 

 

Note: In case of minor, the affidavit may be given by the parents/guardians in respect of their children achievements in sports.

 

Sports Gradation certificate (original) from the Director of Sports, Union Territory, Chandigarh.

 

Undertaking to attend the Sports ground regularly

Defence Personnel

Certificate from the competent military authority. In case of ex-servicemen, discharge and pension book must also be produced.

Dependence on Military Personnel certificate- Certificate from the competent military authority is required.

 

Defence Personnel died/incapacitated while in service certificate

 

Gallantry award certificate

 

Ex-Servicemen defence personnel (self admission) certificate.

 

Note: In case of ex-servicemen, discharge and pension book must also be produced.

Terrorists/Riot Victim

Under this category, candidate will have to bring the riot/terrorist victim dependent certificate in original

Step 4- Online Choice Filling

Qualified candidates, after document verification had to submit their choices of institute and branch in order of their preference. Candidates could fill in as many numbers of choices in the order of their preference from the list available their. Candidates could change or re-order their choices any number of times until they lock their final choices. In cases, where candidates are applying for both  (Engineering & Architecture streams) they are required to submit single set of combined choices for both the stream.

Note: According to JEE Main 2018, choice filling is optional for those candidates who are eligible only for Architecture course. After registration, only one choice of Architecture in CCA will be considered automatically.

 

Step 5- Mock Counselling

  • Upon entering the choice of institute and branches by the candidates, system automatically provided an idea of the seat that may be allotted them.

  • This was based on the number of registered candidates who had submitted their choices and availability of seats.

  • The mock counselling helped the candidates to finalize the most appropriate choice of Institutions.

Step 5- Choice locking and printing of locked choices

  • This is the last step of JAC Chandigarh B.Tech Counselling 2018. Choice filling for round 2 has started on July 17. Here candidates will have to finalize their choices of institute and branches and lock them. To lock the choice, candidates will first have to click the ‘Lock button’. After clicking the button, re-enter the password and confirm the locking choice.

  • Once the candidates lock their choice, a printable version of the choices along with the terms and conditions agreed by the candidate at the time of registration is displayed on their their screen.

  • In case a candidate fail to lock their choices by last date, then their last saved choices will be automatically locked after the deadline.

  • Candidates cannot alter their choices, once they are locked.

  • Candidates who do not exercise any choices in any of the round will not be considered for seat allotment. However, they will be eligible for SPOT round of Counselling after depositing a SPOT round participation fee of Rs. 40,000.
