JAC Chandigarh B.Tech Counselling 2019 - Joint Admission Committee (JAC) will conduct the counselling of JAC Chandigarh B.Tech 2019 for eligible candidates. To participate in JAC Chandigarh B.Tech counselling 2019, candidates will have to register by filling the application form tentatively available in the first week of June. JAC Chandigarh B.Tech 2019 counselling will allow candidates to get admission to undergraduate engineering programmes on the basis of their JEE Main scores as offered by Chandigarh colleges. The counselling of JAC Chandigarh B.Tech 2019 will be conducted in 3 rounds (including a spot round) in online mode in the second week of July tentatively. Candidates will have to fill and lock their choices during the counselling process. JAC Chandigarh B.Tech 2019 Counselling Procedure
The counselling of JAC Chandigarh B.Tech admission will consist of the following steps:

Step 1- Online registration & payment of fees

  • All the qualified candidates of JEE Main 2019 will have to fill the online registration form for JAC Chandigarh B.Tech counselling 2019. 

  • Along with form filling, candidates will also have to pay the registration fees.

  • Candidates will have to authenticate by providing their:

  1. JEE Main 2019 roll number

  2. JEE Main 2019 application number

  3. Name

  4. Mother’s Name

  5. Date of Birth

  • Upon successful authentication, candidates will be required to create their login credentials by using JEE Main 2019 roll number, creation of password and contact information i.e. email ID and mobile number.

  • After login, the page containing candidates’ basic information including AIR will be displayed in Read only mode. Following it, candidates will be required to:

  1. Fill the online registration form and upload the following documents:

  • Category (General, BC, SC, ST)

  • Sub-category (ies) as appearing on registration form 

  • Total marks obtained in various subjects of the qualifying examination (i.e. 10+2 examination) as per the eligibility criteria and maximum marks. 

  • Place of the school from where the candidate has appeared for the qualifying examination (Chandigarh/ Outside Chandigarh)

   2. Candidates will have to submit the form and pay one-time registration fees through Debit  Card/ Credit Card/Internet banking/e-Challan. The fees will be non-refundable.

Candidates who will complete the registration and fee payment process will be eligible to fill the choices of the colleges and courses according to their preference.

Step 2 - Document Verification

Candidates belonging to the following categories will have to be physically present for document verification along with their supporting documents and undertakings:

  • Backward Class (BC)

  • Persons with Disability (PwD)

  • Freedom Fighter

  • Kashmiri Migrant/Displaced Persons

  • Terrorist/Riot Victim

  • One Girl Child out of the only two girl children

  • Cancer patient

  • AIDS patient

  • Thalassemia patient

  • Kargil Martyrs

  • Economically Weaker Section

  • Rural area

  • Border area

  • Defence

The registered candidates belonging to General/ SC/ ST categories who wish to avail the benefit of any one or more of the above mentioned categories will have to report in person for verification of certificates as per the schedule given below.

Candidates will have to carry a set of relevant affidavit(s)/undertaking(s)/self attested photocopies of all supporting documents/certificates as well as original documents/certificates for verification:

  • Electronic Payment Gateway (EPG) receipt

  • Result card of JEE Main 2019

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • Marks Sheet of class 12th and 10th

  • Class X Certificate for Date of birth.

  • Character Certificate from the last attended institute

  • Migration/Transfer Certificate

  • Category certificate, if applicable

Step 3 - Online choice filling

  • All the registered candidates will have to submit their choices of colleges and programmes in the order of their preference. 

  • These choices will have to be produced as a single set of combined choices for Engineering & Architecture streams, if candidates are eligible for both the streams.

  • However, choice filling will be OPTIONAL for those candidates who are eligible only for B.Arch. as per JEE Main 2019. Only one choice of Architecture in CCA will be considered automatically after successful registration.

  • From the list of available choices, candidates can fill in as many numbers of choices in the order of preference as they wish to.

  • Till the time, candidates lock their final set of choices, they will be permitted to change or re-order their choices, delete earlier choices and add new choices any number of times 

Step 4 - Mock counselling

  • The system of seat allotment will be created to allow candidates to know the seats that could be allotted to them based on their choices filled and registrations received.

  • This seat allotment process will be mock counselling that will help candidates to finalize the most suited seat for them. For this allotment, candidates are advised to check the website regularly.

  • It is important for candidates to know that final seat allotment may differ from allotment during mock counselling. 

Step 5 - Choice locking and printing of locked choices

  • After finalizing, candidates will have to lock their choices on or before the last date and time.

  • Choice locking involves re-entering the password and confirming the locking, after the LOCK button is clicked. Candidates are required to follow all the steps carefully to complete the locking process.

  • Candidates will not be able to change/ alter their choices, after locking. If the choices are locked, a printable version of the choices along with the terms and conditions agreed by the candidate at the time of registration will be displayed. 

  • In case, a candidate fails to lock the choices till the last date & time, their last saved choices will be automatically locked after the deadline. Therefore, candidates are strongly advised to lock their choices themselves and also secure a printout of these locked choices.

  • The registered candidates who will not exercise their choices in any of the rounds will not be considered for seat allotment. However, they will be eligible for SPOT round of counselling after depositing a round participation fee of ₹40,000/-. 

  • Candidate will be able to login again to view their locked choices. However, these locked choices will not be modified or altered.
