IISc Bangalore concluded the GATE exam 2024 registration process. The eligible candidates were allowed to fill out the GATE exam form 2024. The authority announced the GATE 2024 registration date online at the official website. Candidates can check the last date for GATE 2024 registration online at the official website. While filling out the GATE exam registration form, aspirants had to ensure that the name of the candidate in the GATE 2024 registration is the same as that in the valid photo ID, which the candidate must produce in original while appearing for the GATE exam at the centre. First of all complete the GATE 2024 registration. Candidates have to register for the GATE exam through the GOAPS 2024 portal. The GATE 2024 registration will include details like the Candidate’s first, middle name, and surname, valid email id, country of residence, Mobile Number, and password. After adding the details, candidates have to enter the OTP received on the mobile number and registered Email ID. A unique enrollment ID will be allotted to the successfully registered candidates.

The GATE 2024 application form correction process concluded on November 24. The authorities opened the correction window of GATE application form 2024 on November 20. Candidates who will be declared qualified will have to use GATE COAP and CCMT portals for counselling purposes. The GATE counselling 2024 and admission process for IITs are done through the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP), while, for admissions into NITs, IIEST Shibpur, and IIITs & GFTIs, Centralised Counselling for M.Tech. (CCMT) is conducted.
Common Offer Acceptance Portal, also known as COAP is a portal that provides a common platform for candidates who wish to get admission to the M.Tech programs in the participating institutes or job offers from participating public sector unit (PSUs). Candidates having valid GATE scores 2024 need to register at COAP and at the institute's portal for admission. All the participating IITs and IISc Bangalore will publish seat allotment results at the COAP portal. Using the COAP portal 2024, candidates will have to check their seat allotment status and accept/ reject the seat.
The full form of CCMT is Centralized Counselling for M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan Admission. The admission to the M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan programmes offered at all NITs, IIEST Shibpur, some IIITs, and CFITs is done through the CCMT portal. Candidates having valid GATE scores need to register at the CCMT portal. The authority releases the seat allotment result at the CCMT portal.
Candidates who qualify the GATE exam will be eligible for admission to the IITs, NITs, IIEST Shibpur, some IIITs, CFITs, and the institutes accepting the GATE score.
