Questions related to GATE
which iit should take students who give gate in cse but doing there btech in other branches
You can do MTech in your BTech graduate Branch only. You can't change your branch in higher education.
if a candidate has done Btech in CSE then Can do in MTech CSE/IT domain specialization. There is no restriction to apply for different branch in GATE. But different branch score won't make you eligible for admission as it will differ to your Graduation branch.
Hope it helps!
does BITS allow mtech in cse to a graduate with btech in mechanical with a valid gate score in cse?
Yes you definitely can take admission in BITS for MTech in CSE after BTech in mechanical engineering but remember your gate score card must be of CSE stream , if you are going with mechanical GATE score then it is not possible to take admission for another branch in MTech, now you also can take admission in BITS for MTech through BITS HD exam.
Best of luck.
Is NIT worth for MTech or should I wait for a year and give next gate and go for IIT
Doing MTech from IIT is also worthy, according to the national ranking it is having AAAA+ rating which is not bad, even if you have full confidence on yourself that you can score good in GATE after dropping an year and you can go for top IIT then you should go while it is not worthy to waste your one year, accordingly you can see the list of top colleges for MTech in a sequence, using the link provided you below:
