TANCET 2020 - Anna University, Chennai has released the hall ticket of TANCET 2020 on February 13. Candidates can now access the hall ticket by logging in using their email ID and password. Registrations for TANCET 2020 was open till February 4, 2020. The authorities will be conducting TANCET 2020 exam on March 1 for admission in M.Tech courses. TANCET 2020 will be conducted for admission to M.Tech courses offered by the participating institutes of the exam. TANCET 2020 will be a pen-paper based examination and will have three parts- I, II and III. Part I & II will be compulsory for all while part III will be based on the discipline selected by the candidates. Candidates having valid GATE score will not be required to appear for TANCET 2020. However, if the candidates have qualified XE or XL papers then they will have to attempt TANCET 2020. Candidates will be able to check their secured scores and ranks in the exam through the result of TANCET 2020. The exam conducting authorities has released the hall ticket of TANCET 2020 on February 13. Candidates can now download their admit card by entering their User ID and password. TANCET hall ticket 2020 includes details like name of the candidate, roll number, exam date & time, exam centre, etc. of the candidates. The hall ticket of TANCET 2020 is an important document as no candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without a valid admit card.

Candidates are advised to check the minimum eligibility criteria of TANCET 2020 beforehand. If a candidate does not fulfil TANCET 2020 eligibility criteria then his/her candidature will be cancelled at any stage of the admission process. Candidates should be residents of Tamil Nadu.
However, candidates belonging to other states will also be eligible if they satisfy the eligibility conditions set by the authorities.
Candidates should have qualified B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch in relevant discipline.
Candidates should have completed a Master's degree in the relevant branch of Science.
Candidates should have passed 10+2+AMIE* or 10+3 years of diploma awarded by the State Board of Technical Education + AMIE*.
Candidates must score at least 50% marks in 10+2 examination.
However, the minimum percentage marks for SC/ST candidates is 45%.
Candidates who have qualified GATE in 2018/2019/2020 and have valid score cards will be eligible to apply.
However, if a candidate has passed GATE examination in Engineering Sciences (XE) or Life Sciences (XL) papers, he/she will have to attempt TANCET 2020.
Candidates could access TANCET 2020 application in online mode from January 7. The application form of TANCET 2020 had to be submitted before the last date i.e., February 4 in order to appear in the entrance test and participate in the admission process. Candidates could refer to the steps mentioned below to fill the application form of TANCET 2020.
Step 1: Registration- Candidates had to first register by entering details like name, mobile number, email Id, etc. Candidates received their User ID and password after successful registration.
Step 2: Filling of Application Form- Once the registration was done, candidates had to login to the portal and fill all the other details of the application form like personal, educational and communication details. Candidates were also required to select their preferred choices of exam centres in this step.
Step 3: Uploading of Documents- After filling all the details, candidates had to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature as specified by the authorities.
Step 4: Payment of Fee- In the next step, candidates had to pay the application fee of TANCET 2020 in online mode. The payment could be done through credit/debit card or internet banking.

Step 5: Submission of Application Form- In the last step, candidates had to finally submit their application form. Candidates were required to check all the details entered by them in the application form before finally submitting it. Candidates also had to take a print out of the application form for future reference.
The authorities have released the list of exam centres of TANCET 2020 in the official notification. TANCET exam centres are the cities/venues where the entrance exam will be conducted. Candidates were advised to carefully check the list as they were required to enter their preferred choices of TANCET 2020 exam centres while filling the application form. However, the allotment of TANCET exam centres 2020 was done on the basis of availability of seats.

The cutoff of TANCET 2020 is the minimum marks required by the candidates to be eligible for admission in the participating institutes. The authorities will release separate cutoffs for TANCET and GATE qualified candidates. Various factors will be considered while determining the cutoff of TANCET 2020 like number of applicants, difficulty of exam, previous year cutoff trends, etc.
The counselling of TANCET 2020 will be conducted by TANCA. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of TANCET 2020 result and GATE scores will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. Candidates will have to lock their choices of colleges and courses during TANCET 2020 counselling. No there is no correction window for TANCET exam that means you have no option for making changes or corrections in your application form after the final submission. If your signature does not match with the signature you have submitted in the application from then it will be a problem. The only way is to sign the same signature you have uploaded in the admit card during the exam.

TANCET exam is being conducted by Anna University on February 29 on behalf of Government of Tamil Nadu. The exam is mainly for admission in Tamil Nadu colleges, hence the exam centres which are alloted are situated only in the state. Henceforth, candidates were not given any option to select Hyderabad as an exam centre.
