Hello there,
No, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) does not accept GATE scores for admission to its master's programs. TUM primarily evaluates applications based on academic performance (CGPA), GRE (for some programs), English/German language proficiency, and relevant experience.
However, some German universities do accept GATE scores for specific programs. If you are interested in TUM, check the exact admission requirements on their official website or consider applying to universities that accept GATE for MS programs in Germany.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

hi ,
Securing admission to a top IIT for a Master's program in Mechanical Engineering through GATE depends on several factors, including your GATE score, category, and the specific cutoffs of each institution.
GATE Qualifying Marks for Mechanical Engineering (2024):
Admission Cutoffs for Top IITs:
Admission cutoffs vary annually and are influenced by factors such as the number of applicants, seat availability, and overall performance. For instance, in previous years, the GATE cutoff for Mechanical Engineering at IIT Madras was around 778 for the General category and 522 for SC candidates.
Estimating Your Admission Prospects:
With a raw score of 55 marks in GATE 2025, your GATE score (out of 1000) will be determined after normalization. Given that the SC category qualifying mark is 19.0, a score of 55 is significantly higher, which strengthens your eligibility.
Next Steps:
Await Official Results: Once the GATE 2025 results are announced, check your official GATE score out of 1000.
Review IIT Cutoffs: Examine the specific cutoffs for the IITs you're interested in, focusing on the SC category for Mechanical Engineering.
Apply Through COAP: Participate in the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) for IIT admissions, where you can view and accept offers from various institutes.
hope this helps

Hello
Apply as OBC for GATE 2026 :
OBC Creamy Layer : If your family's annual income exceeds Rs 8 lakh , you are considered part of the creamy layer and are not eligible for OBC reservation benefits.
Non-Creamy Layer : If your family's income is below Rs 8 lakh , you qualify as non-creamy layer OBC and are eligible for reservation benefits.
If your father's income remains above Rs 8 lakh, you still fall under the creamy layer and cannot claim OBC benefits for GATE 2026.
However, if the income drops below Rs 8 lakh in the future, and you meet other eligibility criteria , you can submit as OBC (non-creamy layer) in subsequent years with the proper certificate.
hope this helps you .
