1: Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates (OCES-2022):
This is a one year programme conducted at the five BARC Training Schools situated at Mumbai, Kalpakkam, Indore and Hyderabad.
2: DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates (DGFS-2022):
This is a two year programme where Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates who have excelled in the Selection Interviews for the BARC Training Schools’ programs and who have also independently secured admission for M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engg. in select Institutes and specializations as specified are paid stipend and tuition fee to pursue an M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engg. degree while retaining their employment in DAE.

Eligibility Criteria for BARC Recruitment through GATE for OCES/DGFS 2022
Qualifying Degrees and Other Academic Requirements
For Engineering Disciplines ( (codes ME (21), CH (22), MT(23), EE(24), EC(25), CS(26), IN(27), CE(28), NE(29) ): Candidates must have passed B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. (Engineering) / 5-year Integrated M.Tech. with a minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in one of the engineering disciplines as mentioned in the table below/
For Fast Reactor Technology-M (FRT-M, code 30)
B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. (Engineering) / 5-year Integrated M.Tech. in mechanical or chemical engineering with a minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in qualifying degree. FRT-M is an additional Training Scheme option available to applicants belonging to Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering (codes 21 and 22)and hence there will not be separate screening test or Selection interview.
For Fast Reactor Technology-E (FRT-E, code 31)
B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc.(Engineering) / 5-year Integrated M.Tech.in Electrical Engg. / Electronics Engg. / Electronics & Communication Engg. / Electronics & Controls Engg. / Electrical & Electronics Engg. / Electronics & Instrumentation Engg./ Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in qualifying degree. For Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA&QC, code 32)
B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc.(Engineering) / 5-year Integrated M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy / Metallurgy & Materials Engineering / Metallurgy & Materials Science / Metallurgical Engineering / Metallurgical & Materials Engineering / Metallurgical Engineering & Materials Science / Materials Science & Engineering with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in qualifying degree. QA&QC is an additional Training Scheme option available to applicants belonging to Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering (codes 21 and 23) and hence there will not be separate screening test or Selection interview.
For Admission to DGFS:
Candidates having a qualifying degree in the Engineering disciplines (ME(21), CH(22), MT(23), EE(24), EC(25), CS(26), IN(27) & CE(28)) and who meet the corresponding eligibility criteria listed above are eligible to apply for DGFS provided they are selected for OCES-2022 and additionally secure admission for M.Tech./ M.Chem. Engg. starting in the academic year 2022-23 in select Institutes and in specializations listed.
Final Year Students
Such candidates can also apply provided they submit the mark-sheet of their final result, by January 31, 2023.

How to Fill the Application Form for BARC Recruitment through GATE 2022 for OCES/DGFS:
The application process for BARC recruitment through GATE 2022 has started. Candidates can refer to the steps given below to know the steps to fill the application form in simple steps. It may be noted that candidates could proceed to each stage from the home page. Editing of the stages could also be done till the final submission is made.
Step 1 - Registration: Candidates have to enter the following
Applied Discipline (ie. Examination Discipline)
Login Id: check if the login ID is available
Password: The password chosen must be 5 to 10 characters and a combination of letters, numbers and special characters
Activation: After registration, an OTP will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number and an activation link will be sent to the registered e-mail id. Candidates can activate their application either by clicking that link or by using the “Activate through OTP” option in the portal. The candidate can proceed further after the activation of application.
Step 2 – Logging In and filling the application form:
Personal Information: Candidates have to enter their personal details, address and any such information that is required. They must also upload their signature and photograph as specified.
Academic Information: Candidates have to enter details of their Class 10th, 12th, relevant degree details and Additional Qualifications (if applicable).
Step 3 - Screening Information: Candidates will have to enter the channel which they wish to use i.e GATE or Online entrance exam. Candidates will also have to choose the exam centres if they choose the online exam. Candidates who select GATE must upload their GATE score card along with their application form by April 1.
Step 4 - Payment: The application fees can be paid as per the given table online through net banking/debit card/credit card.

Before making the final submission, candidates have to check all the details and make any changes if they need to. The form cannot be edited once it is submitted. After submissions, a unique registration number will be generated. Candidates can view their application and print it too.

The syllabus for the Online Exam is specific to the Engineering discipline which a candidate has selected. The questions are intended to assess the basic understanding of subjects in the area of the Engineering/Science discipline selected by the candidate. Emphasis would be on the knowledge and problem solving ability rather than on the memory of the candidate. General English, General Knowledge, Aptitude etc are not assessed.

Admit Card for BARC Online Test:
Candidates will be able to download the admit card after logging in using their login ID and password. Note that students will first have to book their slots as per specified dates. In addition to a printout of the admit card, candidates must also carry the following

Selection Process for BARC Recruitment through GATE 2022:
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in GATE 2021/22 or the BARC Online test.
Thereafter they must face a personal interview.
They must attend the interview with all their testimonials in original along with a set of copies.
Selection Interviews of short-listed candidates will be conducted in Mumbai (in all disciplines except Geology and Geophysics) and Hyderabad (in Geology and Geophysics).
Outstation applicants will be paid two-way second-class sleeper train fare, from their registered residential address, by shortest route or actual fare whichever is less.
Candidates who clear the interview will be selected as “Scientific Officer”.
Candidates can chose their interview slots by logging in.
Pay Scale and Grade
Appointment in all the units shall be as a Scientific Officer 'C' (SO/C) in the Level 10 - ₹ 56,100 of the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix
Appointment will be at the beginning of the pay scale with OCES TSOs getting two or three increments depending on their performance during the OCES program and the DGFS Fellows# getting three or four increments depending on their performance in M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engg. and four-month Orientation Course for DGFS Fellows (OCDF).
#DGFS Fellows whose performance in the M.Tech./M.Chem.Engg. and OCDF programs is below a specified threshold will get zero increments.
Monthly emoluments (with three increments) at the time of joining including Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance at the present Mumbai rate, will be approximately ₹1,05,000.
In addition, other Allowances such as Leave Travel Concession by air, every year up to first eight years (subject to conditions) and once in two years thereafter, Children's Education Allowance and Professional Update Allowance are also payable.
A comprehensive Contributory Health Service Scheme or equivalent for employees and their dependent family members is also available at all DAE Units.

After doing betch in food tech can do myech in CSE through GATE?

No , After doing B.Tech in Food Technology, you're not eligible to appear for GATE for pursuing M.Tech in CSE .
This is because , there are certain rules about two paper giving examination in GATE :
- As per your Subject (Food Technology - XL- U ) , you are eligible to give combined paper exam in GATE only for the following subjects :
- Biomedical engineering
- Ecology and Evolution

if a person write a GATE test after 1year completion of B.TECH?
According to the eligibility criteria, there is no age limit to apply for GATE 2023. Candidates who have completed their bachelor's degree or are in final year of bachelor's degree or are in pre-final year of bachelor's degree can apply for GATE 2023.
Also, the candidates who are currenlty in 1st or final year of master's degree (MA, MSC etc) or are in the 3rd /4th/5th year or already completed any dual degree program in engineering or techmology are eligible to apply for GATE 2023.
** In a nutshell, You are eligible to apply for GATE 2023 after 1 year completion of B.tech.
can we use ews in gate ? and is it required for filling the application form
Yes, candidates belonging to General EWS category can claim the reservation benefits if seeking admission or applying for recruitment based on GATE score. Candidates belonging to EWS and OBC-NCL category do not have to upload the category certificate at the time of filling the application however, they must obtain the certificate in order to submit it if they get admission in an institute based on GATE score if they wish to claim EWS reservation. Also they need to provide EWS certificate if they are applying for any PSUs based on GATE score under EWS category.
In contrast candidates belonging to SC/ST category need to upload certificate certificate at the time of application as they get concession in application fee.
Gate 2023 preparation tips for chemical engineering
If you are preparing for GATE 2023, then the first thing you should know is about the syllabus of GATE. So you can download the syllabus of GATE 2022 and start preparing based on that, because usally the syllabus won't change a much.

i paid Payment of Rs. 500 to gate to download my score card 2021 gate But I didnt get my scorecard.
GATE 2021 Score card was available to download for free until May 31, 2021. If a candidate wants to download it after May 31, 2021 to December 31, 2021 then he/she has to pay an additional amount of Rs. 500. From January 1, 2022 GATE 2021 score card will not be available to download. Since the last date to download GATE 2021 score card by paying additional charges is already over you cannot download it now. You cannot get your GATE 2021 score card as there is no provision to download it.
