GATE 2020 Latest News and Updates - Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi has released the GATE 2020 answer key which can be challenged between February 19 and 21. The GATE 2020 exam was conducted on February 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2020. Students can check all the latest news and updates related to GATE 2020 through this article. GATE is conducted every year for admissions in M.Tech courses at different IITs. Apart from M.Tech admissions, GATE scores are used by PSUs for recruitment purposes. The application process for GATE 2020 is closed for now. The authorities had released the application form of GATE 2020 in online mode on August 31. The last date to fill GATE 2020 was October 5. February 19: The process of challenging GATE 2020 answer key is started from February 19 (11 a.m.) wherein candidates will have to pay Rs 500 for challenging each question. Objections can be made till February 21 (6 p.m.).

February 18: The answer key of GATE 2020 has been released by IIT Delhi which is subject to be challenged by aspirants between February 19 and February 21, 2020. Candidates can visit the official website and click on 'View' against the paper name they appeared for under the column of answer key.

February 17, 2020: IIT Delhi has released GATE 2020 question papers on the official website. Candidates can access the question papers of 24 disciplines except Biomedical engineering by clicking on "View Question Papers" link.

February 12, 2020: IIT Delhi has released the response sheet of GATE 2020 in online mode. To check the response sheet, the candidates will have to login using their enrolment ID and password. The candidates will be able to challenge the answer key of GATE 2020 from February 19 to 21.

February 9, 2020: The last day of GATE 2020 has commenced. The authorities are conducting civil engineering paper today in both morning and afternoon shift. GATE 2020 afternoon session has concluded. The paper was of moderate difficulty level.

February 8, 2020: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has commenced the examination for the third day of GATE 2020. The examination is being conducted for Electrical Engineering (EE), Ecology and Evolution (EY) and Textile Engineering and Fibre Science (TF) in the forenoon session while the afternoon session will consist of Computer Science and Information Technology (CS).

February 2, 2020: The second day of GATE 2020 has commenced. The exam is being held for AR, BM, BT, CH, MA, MN, ST, XE, XL in forenoon session.

February 1, 2020: GATE 2020 has started. The exam is being conducted for IN, ME1, MT, PE, PH, CY, ME2, PI. GATE 2020 morning session has been completed for IN, ME1, MT, PE, and PH. The exam is moderately difficult as per student feedback.

January 3, 2020: The admit card of GATE 2020 has been released in online mode by IIT Delhi. Candidates will have to use their enrolment ID/email ID and password to download the admit card.

December 4, 2019: IIT Delhi has released the list of candidates with marked defects in GATE 2020 application form. Three separate lists have been released for each category of defect. The final date to make the corrections is December 6, 2019 (5 PM).

November 27, 2019: The detailed examination schedule of GATE 2020 has been released. The authorities have also closed the correction facility of GATE 2020 application form.

November 20, 2019: IIT Delhi has started the facility to change the previously selected exam paper of GATE 2020. Candidates can now avail the facility through online mode.

November 16, 2019: Candidates can now edit their name, gender, category, father's name, college name etc through GOAPS. The change of exam paper is not yet available.

November 14, 2019: GATE 2020 examination city change facility commenced
Authorities have commenced the GATE 2020 application correction facility for changes in examination city, Students can make changes in the application form by logging in to the candidate portal of official GATE website. Additional fee has to be paid for the changes.

November 13, 2019: IIT Delhi to commence changes in exam paper facility after November 20

IIT Delhi will open the GATE 2020 application correction facility for changes in exam paper, centre, gender and category after November 20, 2019. Earlier the authorities had opened the application correction window for change in fields like ender / Category / PwD Status / Dyslexia and other similar learning disabilities.

November 9, 2019: IIT Delhi releases mock test of GATE 2020.

Candidates can access GATE 2020 mock test through the official website. Separate mock tests have been released for the papers under GATE 2020. No mock test is available Biomedical Engineering since it is a newly introduced paper.

October 30, 2019: GATE application form window open for Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh candidates.

IIT Delhi has released the application form of GATE 2020 for candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir. The application form window will be open from October 30 to November 8.

October 15, 2019: GATE 2020 application form correction facility started.

IIT Delhi has started the correction facility of GATE 2020 in online mode. Candidates can make changes in fields like Gender / Category / PwD Status / Dyslexia and other similar learning disabilities. The changes can be made in the GATE 2020 application form by logging into the candidate portal. Candidates who want to make changes in application will have to pay Rs. 750 first in case of change from Female to Male/Transgender (not applicable for SC/ST & PwD candidates) or change from SC/ST to Gen/OBC (not applicable to Female & PwD candidates) or change from PwD to non-PwD status (not applicable to Female & SC/ST candidates).

September 28, 2019: Final date to fill GATE application form with late fee extended to October 5.

The exam conducting authorities have extended the last day to submit GATE 2020 application form with late fee to October 5.

September 24, 2019: Last date to fill GATE 2020 application form extended.

The last date to fill GATE 2020 application form was September 24, but the authorities have extended the last date till September 28. IIT Delhi has also stated that candidates who registered for certification equivalent to B.E./B.Tech from any of the professional societies (IE/ICE/IETE/AeSI/IIChemE/IIM/IIE) after May 31, 2013 will also be eligible for GATE 2020. However, this eligibility will be provisional and further subjected to court orders.

August 31, 2019: GATE 2020 application form released.

The application of GATE 2020 has been released in online mode. Candidate can register through the application portal available on the official GATE COAPS website. Candidates will be able to submit the application form of GATE 2020 till September 24.

July 14, 2019: Official syllabus of GATE 2020 released.

IIT Delhi has released the official syllabus of GATE 2020. Candidates preparing for the entrance exam can download the syllabus of the respective paper in PDF format. Authorities have released the syllabus of all 25 papers (including a new paper of Biomedical Engineering) in PDF format through the official website of GATE COAPS.

July 9, 2019: IIT Delhi announces GATE 2020 schedule.

IIT Delhi announces the schedule of GATE 2020. The exam conducting body has also released an official press release. GATE 2020 will be conducted in online mode on February 1,2,8 and 9. The application form will be available from August 31. Students will be able to download the hall ticket of GATE from January 3. The authorities have also added a new paper on Biomedical Engineering this year.

June 12, 2020: GATE 2020 website is live now.

The authorities have made the official website live now. GATE 2019 website has also been redirected to the new website. As of now, no information about GATE 2020 has been released through the website. IIT Delhi is the conducting body of GATE 2020.

Dear Aspirant,

Without the official cut off list declared, it is quite difficult to say anything. According to expected cut off list and previous years data, the cut off for CSE GATE 2020 for SC category will be around 16-20 marks.

Hii

For your marks your possible gate score will be in range 600-620. For this grade you have low chances for getting any of IITs. Some possible options are-

IIIT Jabalpur, NIT bhopal, NIT jamshedpur, NIT calicut, DTU Delhi and NIT silchar and may some other in average NITs.
