Admission to various M.Tech courses is offered through two channels:
Direct admission through GATE 2024 scores - Uttarakhand M.Tech admission 2024 is offered to GATE 2024 qualified candidates first. That is, seats will be first offered to GATE-qualified candidates, and if there are vacant seats left then non-GATE candidates will be offered seats.
Entrance test for non-GATE candidates - Candidates belonging to this category had to appear for the entrance exam that will be conducted by the institute. Based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance exam, a merit list will be prepared based on which non-GATE candidates will be called for counselling to fill vacant seats.

Academic Qualification: Candidates belonging to General/OBC categories will be required to have 60% in B.Tech or equivalent. However, SC/ST candidates must have 55%.

The authorities will release the result of UKSEE 2024 at the official website. The University will release the declaration of the UKSEE 2024 result through the advertisement in the newspaper for the detailed results and further information regarding counselling dates etc. Based on the performance of candidates in UKSEE 2024, a separate merit list of Uttarakhand M.Tech 2024 admission is prepared for each course. Yes, you can change your category from General to OBC during the GATE 2026 correction window.
GATE always allows candidates to correct details like category. You will need to pay a small correction fee for this change. Make sure you upload a valid OBC certificate as per the format and date mentioned by GATE.
