GAIL Recruitment through GATE 2026 – GAIL India Limited has published the notification for the GAIL 2026 recruitment through GATE on the official website, gailonline.com. The GAIL recruitment through the GATE 2026 application dates have been mentioned in the notification. The GAIL 2026 recruitment application will be held from February 17 to March 18, 2026. Aspiring candidates can apply for GAIL through GATE 2026 for executive trainee positions in disciplines like Chemical, Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical and Computer Science. Candidates who will qualify for the IIT GATE exam will be eligible for GAIL executive trainee recruitment 2026. To apply for the GAIL recruitment, candidates require the GATE 2026 admit card. The direct link to apply for the GAIL 2026 recruitment will be given below.
Candidates registered for GATE 2026 exam must download their admit card from the official GATE website once it is issued, as it will only be available for a limited time. After receiving the GATE 2026 admit card and registration number, they need to apply separately online on the GAIL website by entering their GATE-2026 registration number in the "Careers" section at gailonline.com. The relevant application link will be provided in the "Careers" section. Note that applications without a valid GATE 2026 registration number will be rejected. Once the GATE 2026 result is made available on March 19, 2026, candidates will be required to upload them on the portal.

Enter their name, email ID, and date of birth.
Choose the qualifying exam and proceed to provide personal details, educational qualifications, and work experience.
Enter the GATE 2026 registration number as mentioned in the GATE 2026 admit card.
After submitting the application form successfully, candidates will receive a unique GAIL application number for future reference.
It is recommended to download and keep a printout of the GAIL application form as it may be required for future use.
Candidates should affix a recent photograph, identical to the one used in GATE 2026, on the application form.

Emoluments:
During and after training-cum-probation, candidates may be posted at any of the installations, projects, or offices of GAIL (India) Ltd. or its subsidiaries/joint ventures.

This is likely a temporary portal or validation issue, not something you did wrong. When candidates try to change category from GEN to OBC-NCL during the GATE correction window, the system checks required fields and sometimes a supporting certificate or fee is needed. If any required data or document is missing, or the server is busy, the portal can show Something went wrong, please try again. Explain to them that first they should log into the GATE portal, open the Correction tab and confirm which fields are editable and whether a payment or document upload is required for category change. Tell them to clear browser cache or try a different browser/device and retry. If the error persists, advise contacting GATE support or the zonal office with a screenshot and timing of the error so officials can check server logs.

The GATE 2026 Agricultural Engineering (AG) paper will have a total of 100 marks. Out of this, 15 marks are for General Aptitude and 85 marks are for core Agricultural Engineering subjects.
The marks are generally distributed among major topics like Engineering Mathematics (12–13 marks), Farm Machinery (10–11), Farm Power (14–15), Soil & Water Conservation (12–13), Irrigation & Drainage (10–12), Agricultural Process Engineering (10–12), and Dairy & Food Engineering (9–10 marks).
The official qualifying marks for GATE 2026 are not yet released. However, based on previous years, the cutoff for the Agricultural Engineering paper is expected to be around 25 marks for General, 22.5 for OBC/EWS, and 16.6 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
