NALCO Recruitment through GATE 2019 - National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) will recruit GATE 2019 qualified candidates for the post of graduate engineer trainees. Candidates who wish to apply for NALCO recruitment through GATE 2019 must have a valid GATE score and must be a graduate in either Mechanical or Electrical or Metallurgy or Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering programme. Candidates must refer to eligibility criteria of NALCO recruitment through GATE 2019 to know whether they meet the criteria as listed by NALCO. Eligible candidates can fill the application form of NALCO recruitment through GATE 2019 which will be available from the fourth week of April till the fourth week of May. Candidates applying for the recruitment process are advised to fill in all details and pay required application fee. Candidates will be selected on the basis of GATE 2019 score secured by the candidate. Candidates must have passed B.E/B.Tech with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or equivalent CGPA - an average of all the semesters/years, irrespective of the weightage given to any particular semester/year by the Institute / University. (The total maximum marks and total marks obtained for all years/semesters will be summed up to arrive at aggregate percentage. No rounding off will be done and no weightage will be given to any particular semester or year).

Final year students are also eligible to apply provided they submit proof of their eligibility by the time the interview is conducted.

How to Apply for NALCO Recruitment 2019? 

Step 1: Payment of application fees:

At first, candidates belonging to general & OBC category will be required to pay Rs.500 while SC/ST/PWD/Departmental candidates will have to pay Rs.100/- as Registration Fee. Payment of application fee can be done through internet banking account/credit/debit card facilitated by State Bank Collect page of SBI.

Process to pay the fees:

  • Click on “Make Payment” and go to State Bank Collect page of SBI

  • Select "Odisha" under State of the Corporate/Institution and "PSU-Public Sector" under Type of Corporate/Institution

  • Next, select the Payment Category and choose "NALCO GET Recruitment-2019” category as applicable

  • Enter the GATE 2019 Registration No., Name of the Candidate, Discipline, Category, Date of Birth, Registered Email Id and Mobile No. and then click on submit.

  • Ensure that same Email Id and Mobile No. details are used during the complete registration process.

  • A screen with payment confirmation will be displayed with all details. Check and then pay the fees

  • NALCO will bear the bank charges if any.

  • On successful payment, an e-Receipt will be generated in PDF format with SB Collect Reference Number.

  • Save this receipt and note the reference number to fill the application form. E-Receipt can be generated/ printed subsequently from the option "Payment History" available in State Bank Collect.

Step 2: Filling the application form:

  • Candidates must click on “Click here to apply”

  • They will have to fill the payment details followed by Personal, Contact and Qualifying details.

  • Thereafter, candidates will have to enter the GATE registration No. mentioned in the GATE 2019 admit card.

Documents to upload are:

Candidates will have to upload scanned image of all documents in .jpg format and within 100 KB in size.

  • Copy of GATE 2019 admit card                                    

  • Passport size photograph similar to one pasted in GATE form

  • Scanned copy of Signature same as provided in GATE                               

  • Prescribed qualification/mark sheet as per the requisite qualification

  • e-Payment Receipt  must be in pdf format

Important: A candidate can apply for one post/discipline only. Candidates applying for more than one post/discipline will not be considered.

Selection Procedure for the NALCO Recruitment through GATE 2019

On the basis of score secured in GATE 2019 candidates will be shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear in a personal interview with his/her original GATE-2019 admit card and scorecard for the process of verification and other relevant documents which will be communicated through personal interview call letter.

Training/ Probation - Candidates will have to undergo a training for a period of 1 year. On successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed as Junior Manager in E-1 grade.

Pay Scale - Candidates will be paid on a pay scale of Rs 40000 - 3% -140000/- during one-year training. Thereafter, they will be absorbed as Jr. Manager at E1 grade on the pay scale of Rs 60000-3%-180000/-. The approximate CTC would be Rs 10.52 lakhs per annum during the training period and Rs 15.73 lakhs per annum after confirmation. Besides basic pay, the employee will be entitled to Dearness Allowance, perquisite under cafeteria approach, HRA, a medical facility for self & dependents and superannuation benefits i.e. Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, etc. as per rules of the Company in force from time to time during training/after absorption

If you looking for Job then the best alternative for GATE exam is the UPSC IES examination which is conducted for engineering graduates.This is the best way possible you can get a job and that too in government of India and also there is a long list if perks and perquisites you will get once to crack IES examination.

As you are still in your 3rd year, you might not be still aware of the complete GATE syllabus. So analyse the topics and syllabus that you have learnt for the past 3 years and practise as much Mathematics as you can. Try as many mock tests as possible and get a hang of the exam pattern. Hi, Regarding Gate application correction form, right now there is no option to change my category details. Will it be provided in the future? I had incorrectly selected GEN, but it is OBC/NCL. Thanks in advance.

Dear Harish, IIT Delhi has scheduled diiferent correction windows for different correction categories. The tentative dates to make corrections to your Category would be from the last week of October to 1st week of November. This is tentative and so please keep an eye on the official website. You can change your Category but you will not be refunded any additional amount that you paid towards your application form. can I apply for the gate exam now?

Dear Pramod, IIT Delhi has closed registrations for GATE 2020 as on October 5th, 2019 along with late fees. Now the correction window has been opened. At this juncture, registering for GATE 2020 is not a possibility. You may have to wait until the next year if you  plan on appearing for GATE. For GATE 2020, you have been late.
